Happy Halloween!!! Soccer Tournament, Happy Hours, Trick O Treating & Soccer Scrimmage!

Realized Boomer Turned 16 when we were in KC

Weekdays:

  • Monday - My vanity finally arrived so our master bedroom remodel is complete!  YAY! We love it! Clint grabbed Maci early from school and I met them in Blaine at the annual Halloween soccer tourney.  This year the girls were Nerds the candy. We won our 1st 2 games and then came up short in the 3rd. We were in the toughest bracket and had to win them all to move on so we headed home around 830p and were able to watch the Timberwolves game which Clint was at with Adam Webb.
Our Tourney Team
  • Tuesday - We had our UHG earnings call in the morning - heading in the right direction! After work, I wrapped the day with a hair apt, needed to freshen my color so that felt nice. Connor had basketball practice.
  • Wednesday - We got our sprinklers blown out, that time of year! I went to a Happy Hour farewell for my buddy Mouli from work. Connor had a basketball family meet up event and then went to Brower baseball training with Clint.  Maci is enjoying this week’s break from soccer training.
  • Thursday - I was starting to feel a little off with a sore throat and stuffed nose but I powered through the day and then met up with Phil, Mouli and Nicole at The Stanchion for happy hour and our own fun farewell for Mouli.
Friday:
  • Happy Halloween!
  • I was a field trip chaperone for Connor’s field trip at Baker Park. We were outside from 930-130p in a dreary drizzle and cold temps which was not great for my cold but I know Connor was grateful to have me there.  We did some survival activities - building shelter, learning to start fire and then doing team building games.
  • I got home, got some work done and had a call with our financial advisor.
  • I then took a hot shower and climbed into bed.
  • I love trick or treating but I just couldn’t do any more of the outside mess.
  • The kids had a blast and I woke up around the time they came home.
  • Connor and I sat in my room sorting candy and watching game 6 of the World Series.  Maci had Harper and Livi over to sort candy and listen to music etc.

Trick O Treat Fun!
Saturday:
  • Connor and Clint started the day with basketball practice at 830a
  • Maci had a soccer scrimmage at 11a and the boys met us there after practice.
  • They scrimmaged the TFE Pre-GA team a year younger than us.  We pulled off a nice 8-0 Win and Maci had the first goal - a beauty of a rip with her left foot - that goal along with her hustle got her player of the game.
  • We then went to lunch at Medina Ballroom.
  • We got home in time for some good afternoon naps and DayQuil.
  • Clint did yard work and I woke up around dinner time.  We ate Crack Chicken for dinner and watched a whole bunch of college football followed by Game 7 of the World Series.
  • Connor was SOOOOO into the game and started to cry when the Dodgers pulled it out - he wanted them to win so bad!
Our Team was White & Youngers were in Black

Sunday:
  • Love getting an extra hour of sleep!
  • I was getting a lot of things done in the morning before Maci headed out to her Media Day with the TFE team. . . Can’t wait to see these pictures!
  • Continued doing all the prep things around the house and watching another frustrating Bengals game.
  • Maci heads to training shortly (330p) and then has some 3v3 soccer games this evening (730-830p) at the Infiniti soccer center.

We hope you all had a wonderful Halloween and are getting excited for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday!!

Getting Ready for Halloween - MN Zoo Fun, Valley Scare, Date Night, Connor 3v3 Tourney!

Weekdays:

  • Monday - Maci had forward training from 745-845p outside, getting cold for these late trainings!
  • Tuesday - Our house got cleaned and I had a 1/2 day onsite with my HR team to prepare for 2026. We wrapped with a Happy Hour and Clint ran Connor to basketball practice while Elliana’s family kindly got Maci to and from practice.
  • Wednesday - Maci had soccer practice at night so I ate and caught up on work at the local Mexican restaurant. While I did this, Connor and Clint did some Brower baseball training.
  • Thursday - Poor Maci came home sick from school so she missed their after school fall dance. I went to get a facial after work and it was lovely. I also got my eyebrows tinted and waxed. Ahh what a nice treat this was! That night Connor also had basketball practice.
Friday:
  • Productive day for Clint and I before our annual night at the MN Zoo for the Pumpkin Event.

Saturday:
  • Connor and Clint started the day bright and early with an 8a basketball practice
  • Clint ran to a massage at 10a
  • I then took Connor, Emily and Anna to downtown Wayzata for some shop trick or treating.  Anna and Connor really wanted to go together but we live in different neighborhoods so this was our compromise.
  • We got home in time for a nice afternoon nap
  • I then got my nails done at 4p while Clint ran Connor to the Janko’s as they took him along with some buddies to Valley Scare (amusement park Valley Fair) Halloween event.
  • While Connor was at that, Clint and I did a date night at River Inn and then to a recently reopened bar, The Hilltop!
Silly Cows

Valley Scare Fun!!
Sunday:
  • Started the day with an 1130a tip off for a 3v3 tournament for Connor.
  • They won all 3 of their games to get 1st seed going into the bracket play and then lost by 1 point in the first game - BOO! Good learning and it got us out of a gym early on a gorgeous Sunday so not all bad.
  • I got home in time to see the Bengals lose to the pathetic NY Jets at home.
  • Maci went to training with Julian and then we got things prepared for the week the rest of the night.
Lots of Love,

Bengals Win, MEA Fall Break & Kansas City Soccer Road Trip!

4th Grade Pics
Weekdays:
  • Monday - My boss was back from India/Philippines so lots of catching up and getting in the swing of things. Only sports in the evening was Maci development training with the forwards and Clint was kind enough to run her given it was 745-845p.
  • Tuesday - Last day of school for the kids thanks to fall break. Busy evening for me as I ran from Connor’s conference at school (such a smart, kind boy that could put in a titch more effort) to the house to hop on Maci’s virtual conference with her advisor (she is organized, super kind, responsible and cares about doing well). While I was doing this, Connor and Clint had Connor’s team’s first basketball practice for the season. Maci was supposed to then have practice BUT it was COLD and RAINY so our coach changed it to a virtual film study from 830-930p
  • Wednesday - Kids had no school so easy/lazy day for them. Rosie had a grooming and I had a jam packed day of meetings since I was going to be out the rest of the week. At night, Connor had Baseball Training at Brower with Clint. I took Maci to her practice and killed the time by grabbing a solo dinner at the Mexican restaurant nearby. I got food, cleaned email and then picked her back up. I finished some laundry and then crashed for the night.
  • Thursday - Clint and I were “off” but we were just around the house so we both did a little work here and there. I helped to solve some employee relations questions and tuned into a cost management call while also participating in my quarterly board call for equality. I was able to get the house cleaned up and finished our laundry. I then got ready to tune into the Bengals game with minimal hope. Clint ran Maci to her practice so I could fully watch. Q1 was a little rough BUT then the Bengals found a rhythm and never looked back! Joe Flacco had a great game, our stars willed their way on offense and Defense did enough to get it done! I was soooo happy at the end of that game!
Friday:
  • Up and packing around 9a
  • We got on the road around 1030a for Kansas City - we had to cancel our annual Grandview resort plans for fall break b/c Maci’s team had 2 divisional games against Sporting KC.
  • The drive wasn’t bad and we rolled into KC around 530p.
  • We went to Joe’s for some yummy BBQ for dinner and then hung with many of the families to watch the University of MN big win against Nebraska that evening.
Joe’s BBQ
Saturday:
  • We got to sleep in which was nice. The team did breakfast at 930a and then had a team walk/stretch.
  • While they were off doing that, Rachel and I set up a bead activity so the girls could make their bigs for the team a year older than us key chains.
  • Once finished, we had some down time in the room and then ate lunch - Subway for the kids and pulled pork sandwiches for the adults.
  • We had a bit more down time and then we had to get ready for our 230p game.
  • The girls played great and won 5-1 - Miss M had an assist to Isabel by using her body to flick it forward.
  • We headed back to the hotel, Connor and JD fit in some swimming and then we were off to Chicken and Pickle for team dinner/bonding.
  • We had a nice time and then headed back to the hotel for a quick parent night cap drink and the girls got in bed by their 10p curfew.
Beading Fun!

Cheering on the 2012s After Us

Chicken & Pickle Fun
Sunday:
  • Up and at ‘em and out of the hotel by 840a.
  • Game 2 was at 10a and once again a great outcome, this time 4-1 and another great assist by Maci. She also had a great rip on goal that the keeper barely got some finger tips on to push it out for a corner kick.
  • We all smiled/celebrated the win and then loaded up the cars for the long 6 hour 30 min drive home.
  • We have 2:30 left on our drive and should get home around 7p. Just in time to do some laundry, unpack, get the car washed and order groceries before showering and crashing in bed.

While it was a busier MEA fall break weekend than usual, we wouldn’t rather be anywhere else than watching one of our 2 all stars do what they love! Great job TFE!

Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C
