Connor starts travel baseball and Maci/Kellie hit up Milwaukee!!

Weekdays:
  • Monday - I worked from home b/c Connor had his first travel scrimmage right at 5p so I wanted to be able to easily hustle over to the field.  He had a super great double and did a stellar job pitching.  They beat the other AA team from Wayzata about 18-5.  Yay!!!  Then Maci and I hustled out early to get her to soccer practice on time.
This is only some of his gear as they didnt wear uniforms for the scrimmage
But this is his hat and he is so cute in this gear!
  • Tuesday - Busy but good day at the office for me.  Last day of 3rd grade state testing for Connor, wahoo!  Maci had Infiniti training at night but thankfully Clint helped with that while I got some work done.
  • Wednesday - Maci had her 6th grade state math testing.  I had our quarterly biz review for the group I support and then wrapped my day with a happy hour with a co-worker.  Connor had baseball practice with Clint and I hustled home to get Maci to her soccer practice at 730p.
  • Thursday - Typical day for everyone and at night Clint went out with some of the soccer dads to watch the draft while Connor and I caught it together at home.
Friday
  • Productive morning which started with a bagel run for Clint and me
  • At 230p, a neighbor who is now running a home design business came over to give a quote for doing a complete redesign of our master bedroom - exciting!!
  • Clint ran to pick up Maci from school and then take her to her friend Violet's 12th birthday party at Slick City slide park.  He and Connor then ran to baseball practice.  I finished working and picked Maci up from the party at 645p.
  • Once home, we got laundry and a few other weekend to dos completed since Maci and I will be in Milwaukee for the rest of the weekend.
  • Then we all settled in to watch the Timberwolves come up big at home against the Lakers to take a 2-1 lead in the series!!
Saturday
  • Connor and Clint were up and out early in the AM for Baseball pictures
  • Maci and I got moving around 8a to finish all the to dos/pack and hit the road by 930a.  We said a quick goodbye to the boys and we were off.  Quick stop at Starbucks and then lots of windshield time.
  • It is about a 5 hour drive to the hotel.  We stopped at a gas station for some snacks before Connor's travel baseball game at 1145a.  Maci kindly read the gamechanger the entire time and they won a crazy 32-3 game against a sad Edina team.  Connor had great hits and pitched 2 of the innings with only 1 single and 0 runs.  GO BUDDY!!!
  • It was then around 2p so Maci and I grabbed some quick Arbys and got back on the road to finish the drive by about 330p.
  • We got to the field at 5p for warm ups and the parents enjoyed a "safety meeting" AKA happy hour in the parking lot before the game.  Dang if we didn't need more drinks.  Our girls came out looking soft and slow.  Plus as the sunset it got COLD.  We lost 0-5 - OUCH and not our style!!!
  • We headed back to the hotel, had some pizza and then hit the hay b/c early game the next day.
Love a good hotel door hang

Pizza Dinner
Sunday
  • Up and at 'em in Milwaukee at 6a while Clint and Connor snoozed away at home HA
  • We ate some breakfast, filled up waters, checked out and were off to the fields for our 830a game.
  • While the girls warmed up, I got gas and then took a 2 mile walk with a group of moms.
  • Our girls clearly got a good night of sleep b/c touches were quicker, sharper and lots more talking.  Maci subbed in about 1/3 of the way into the 1st half and had a gorgeous flick to her pal Neko and then yelled "one touch Neko" which she did right into the back of the net!!!!  Yay 1-0 TFE and an assist for our Maci.  Neko and Maci had an adorable hug to clinch it!
  • 2nd half, Magoo subbed in around the same time and picked up where she left off.  She had a great move at goal and collided with the keeper.  No call but the keeper knew to be "anxious" around that #20.  Then she had a great in the air win and went to goal down her favored left side.  I could see it in her eyes, she was going to goal.  The defender kept body checking her but eventually fell and Maci took 2 more touches and just riffled it into the back of the net . . . GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!  She flew around on the field like an airplane, something she borrowed from Mal Swanson on the US women's team.
  • Shortly after the whistle blew and we won 2-0!!  Maci was named player of the match, again, but this time by the older girl's coach b/c he had to sub for our coach during this WI trip.  I think it helped Maci's confidence so much to have that kind of game and for one of the older coaches to give her such props.  I was beaming with pride the entire 6 hour drive home!
  • We rolled into town around 4p after keeping ourselves entertained by playing a roadkill game to keep us focused and laughing :)
  • We went straight to Delano high school to watch Connor in his final 3v3 with the "pink team" - they won the first one through free throws b/c they tied the session and then crushed the 2nd team.
  • We came home for a bit, got a few things done and then were off to eat dinner as a family and head to Connor's 2nd 3v3 team games.  They crushed team one but then had to play some BIG 4th graders and that humbled them right back down :)
  • Got home and CRASHED!!!!
The Dynamic Duo, Goal Scoring Combo!
Maci and Neko

One heck of a team!
No rest for the weary, right back to work and school for all and another practice for Connor and game for Maci Monday night - we LOVE it and wouldn't have it any other way :)
We hope you had a wonderful spring weekend!
Lots of Love,

Mom Goes to KC, Maci is a Star Student & Happy Easter!

Weekdays:
  • Monday - I had a 9a flight so Clint and I left the house around 7a.  Smooth breeze through security and to the gate.  We also had a super smooth flight - I will take it!  Flew right into the Overland Park pharmacy - loved the team and the location!  Connor had his MCA Reading state test and loved the “you got this” note I left for him.  At night, Clint navigated Connor’s Baseball practice and Maci’s Infiniti soccer training.  While they did that at home, I had a yummy BBQ dinner with my colleagues.
  • Tuesday - Day 2 in KC for me, this time to our Infusion pharmacy in Lenexa and also a newly acquired pharmacy in Lenexa with PharmScript.  More great people and great learning!  Connor had day 2 of MCA Reading and this time the pump up note was from Dad.  Maci also had her MCA for reading but she is a veteran at this point :). Clint had a busy day on the home front with our windows getting washed AND our new range & dishwasher getting installed.  Yay!  I got home around 6p and another really nice quick smooth flight.

  • Wednesday - I had a super busy schedule back at the office.  I rushed home to hang with Maci while Connor and Clint had another night of baseball.  Then Maci, Connor and I had to head to a super late soccer practice at 8p for Maci.  Clint went to Brick and Bourbon with some buddies so Connor napped in the car/watched my phone while I cleaned up emails and tried to do work.
  • Thursday - We started our day with Maci’s star student event for the 3rd quarter.  The teacher had such kind things to say about her and we are so proud!!  I then headed home to work from here along with Clint.  I had a back to back to back kind of day but super productive.  Maci had another late soccer practice but I sent Clint with her this time from 730-845p.
Friday:
  • We started our day with a quick date to the bagel shop
  • I got some work done and then headed to get a haircut at 945a
  • Back home for more meetings and work before catching up with my former boss/mentor Lori Riley.  It was so great to hear her voice and to hear what she has been up to, sharing my progress etc.
  • While I caught up with Lori, Connor and Clint headed to baseball practice.
Saturday :
  • We had a productive get stuff done around the house day!  Clint sanded and painted the trim on the front outside windows.
  • Maci and I got our nails done in the morning - fingers and toes for me and just toes for her.
  • We then ran some sunflower seeds to Clint and Connor at an early afternoon baseball practice.
  • Maci and I enjoyed a lunch at Subway before coming home and getting laundry going etc.
  • Clint and Connor did a lunch at Noodles before coming home and then we could finally dye eggs.
  • After doing the eggs, the kids enjoyed jumping on the trampoline together.
  • At night time, we ordered Kobe and all tuned into the Timberwolves Game 1 vs the Lakers - thankfully we spanked them at home!!
Sunday:
  • Happy Easter!!!
  • Unfortunately we had a gloomy weather day in MN.  The temps were ok but very gray and rainy in the afternoon.
  • Our crew had fun looking in their baskets and finding eggs.  Connor won this year!  They each found their equal number of eggs but he was the one to find the golden egg, nice job C Man!
  • We had a brunch at Maynard’s but we were all a little disappointed that it was just lunch and not a nice Easter brunch menu this year so we tried to make the best of it.
  • Once home, Clint ran the kids with him to see the Minecraft movie.  I had zero interest in this so I stayed home, rested and then got closets cleaned and laundry put away.
  • Now we are enjoying some Olive Garden, very Easter like :) and watching more NBA basketball.
  • We may tune into the Wild hockey playoff game tonight at 9p.  We will see how tired we are by then :)

Back to Routine, Maci Scores a Big One & Connor Meets his Baseball Team!

Weekdays:
  • Monday - Connor still had the day off but Middle School was back at it.  Rosie had her annual vet appointment that Connor and Clint ran her to while I was at the office and Maci at school.  That evening I had happy hour with my former CIO partner, Mouli. The Bryant’s kindly drove Maci to practice as Connor and Clint had WWE Monday Night RAW at the Target Center with a group of dad’s and boys.  I then picked up Mikah and Maci to return the take favor for pick up on the way home for soccer - it truly takes a village :)
Great Mentor and Friend
  • Tuesday - I ran Connor to an orthodontist consult at 730a.  We need to have 2 teeth pulled and then will revisit again in 6 months.  I ran him to school and then headed into the office for a few meetings before our 1.5 day offsite started at lunch.  It was great to see so many familiar faces AND to meet many new people as well.  However, Tuesday-Thursday was socializing and by Friday I was wiped out HA.  That evening we had a team event at Pinstripes bowling/cocktails and food.  Clint managed getting Maci to and from her soccer practice (oh which is finally back outside!)
  • Wednesday - Another all day of meetings for me.  I had a work dinner afterward at Crave.  Clint once again managed getting Maci to and from soccer practice - we are back in the thick of summer/spring sports - thankfully baseball wasn’t started yet or this week would have been tough!
  • Thursday - Back to regular meetings for me but also a networking breakfast and lunch.  After work I met up with Kari (former co-worker) for Happy Hour and realized I completely over scheduled myself this week HA.  It was great to catch up with her and Clint ran Maci to practice but then I was able to pick her up afterward.
Friday:
  • I started my day with my annual physical.  All is good and I’m healthy but dang if that didn’t take forever!  It was a 815 apt and I didn’t get home until a little after 10a.
  • Clint golfed for the first time this year in the afternoon - he says it was his worst performance in a long time but still fun to get back out there.
  • I was dead by the late afternoon and moved to the couch with my computer and slowly took care of some things before crashing for the week.
  • Maci got picked up by Rowan and her mom for a sleepover.  Rowan is a friend from Greenwood but she moved to St Louis Park.  I love that these girls keep in touch and are still good pals even when they don’t see each other often.
Saturday:
  • Busy day for me.  I started the day with a massage at 8a - lovely!
  • I then headed to eQuality’s farm (board I am on) for a volunteer event.  I planted peppers for 2 hours.  We then had our quarterly board meeting until about 1p.
  • While I was doing this, Maci got dropped back at home.
  • I hustled home to get Connor to his haircut by 145p.
  • No sooner were we done with the haircut, we loaded the family into the car, picked up Aanya and were off to Maci’s scrimmage at 445p.  We met most of the parents for a drink during the 1 hour warm up for our team.
  • They scrimmaged against a good NSSA team but we dominated the entire time (typical) but we couldn’t find the back of the net (ugh also typical at times).  They had a stupid corner kick where our keeper touched it but dropped into the back of the net.  We were then down 0-1 and really shouldn’t be.  2nd half came and finally on a break away our own Miss M fired a shot with her left, the keeper bounced it off her legs and Maci flew in for her own follow up and ripped a shot with her left foot to the back right corner of the net - GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • We kept dominating the rest of the game but ended the dang scrimmage 1-1.  Good hustle back from our ladies.  Maci received “Player of the Match” award!  Go Girl!
  • We got the kids home and settled and Clint and I were off to Gianni’s for steaks and cocktails - a much needed date night to catch up.
  • Our evening wrapped with a few beers by the fire with the Harty party and several other neighbors.
Player of the Match
They wear this deflated ball as a hat and sign it when they get it HAHA

Sunday:
  • After a slow morning, we were off to The Ball Park indoor batting simulators and beer/food for the 9u AA Blue team intro party.  Connor reallly liked this one boy Jon who is the coaches son.  There are also like 5 Greenwood kids on our team + his buddy Cal from basketball so Connor is feeling pretty comfy off the bat with this crew.  Maci will do ok too as there are 3 sisters in the 5th grade, just 1 year younger.
  • We hustled home to get laundry, groceries and other to dos rolling.  Clint is glued to the final day of the Masters.
  • I ran Maci to her soccer practice at 3p and I am writing this update from the parking lot.
  • After she wraps, I run her home and join Clint/Connor at his 3v3 sub games in Delano.
  • We have a little break for dinner and Connor has his regular 3v3 basketball team games at 720 and 745p tonight.
  • Whew!  What a great but busy weekend - we are at the phase of life for sure but we LOVE spring time!!
I head off to KC for work Monday/Tuesday as well so will get to packing after basketball.
Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C

San Diego Spring Break!!

Weekdays:

  • Monday - Happy Birthday to Clint!!!   It was a rainy day all day which is strange for San Diego.  We braved it out to the San Diego zoo which was a fun visit even with the on and off rain.  We got some ponchos and made the best of it.  We only saw one of the Pandas but it was a nice zoo and a fun visit.  Maci and Connor both got a souvenir top that says "save the chubby unicorns" with a pic of a rhino HAHA.  We thought this was so funny.  We got home from the zoo, dried off, rested and then it was time to head downtown for the Padres game.  Unfortunately still a bit wet and cold BUT this game was awesome.  The fan base LOVES their baseball - they were sold out on a Monday night and went 5-0 to start the season for the first time in franchise history - so cool to be there!  Connor was really into the game and Maci enjoyed the ice cream.  We got home after the game and hit the hay with Law and Order - love being able to binge our shows still on vaca.

Padres Baseball Fun!
Bobble Head Night!
  • Tuesday - We found a Denny's because the kids wanted that for breakfast - it was advertised at the game a lot the night before.  We came back and I took a late morning nap - I was really tired for some reason.  Once up, we hit the beach for a promised beach day - even though it was high 50s/low 60s and windy.  I chilled in the sun with an iPad and sweatshirt while those crazy kids ran through the waves.  We all got cleaned up and headed back down town but this time for a fancy dinner at Nobu.  Maci was so excited for the sushi.  Connor played along b/c we told him he could get in and out burger afterward.
Beach Fun!

Nobu Fancy Dinner
  • Wednesday - Last full day!  We started with breakfast and then a little shopping in LaJolla.  Clint found a nice item at both Vouri and Lululemon.  Maci got a new pair of shorts at Lululemon.  Maci and I then went big at Aviator Nation with each of us getting a hoodie and Maci also getting a new tshirt.  After shopping, we were off to Belmont Park - such a cute old fashioned amusement park in San Diego right on Mission Beach.  The kids had a blast running around the rides and Clint and I enjoyed the sunshine and watching.  We had lunch right on the beach strip then finished up some final rides before heading back to our house b/c the kids wanted more beach time.  They really do love the ocean!  I love watching them enjoy it.  We then tried Surf Taco, a recommendation from a co-worker of mine who lives out that way.  Super yummy and a great way to end the main part of the trip.
Belmont Park Fun!

Back to the Beach
  • Thursday - Up and at 'em - we need to be packed up and out by 10a.  We got out at 10a on the dot!  We then went down by the beach to see the LaJolla seals - they did not disappoint, even if the smell did!  We also had a nice brunch with a view.  We then headed to Candy and Greg's to see their house from about 12-2p.  We had a nice light lunch with them and then took a walking tour of their neighborhood.  Before we knew it, it was 2p and time to head to the airport.  We breezed through bag drop and security here and right into the Delta Sky Lounge.  This was our kids first time and they LOVED the "free food" and drinks. Maci was so curious why she has never gotten to do this before.  The played on devices, I cleaned email and then it was time to board.  We had a SUPER smooth flight home - LOVED IT!  We landed and got home around 1230a - ouch that was late but what a fun trip and thankfully no school or work the next day!

Friday:
  • We all slept in!  Then Clint and I kicked off the day with a walk.
  • I did a little bit of work to have things in order for Monday.
  • I started to unpack but felt a head cold coming on - darn travel.  So I took a late afternoon nap.
  • Thankfully we had no plans so I could be a total lazy bum all afternoon.
Saturday:
  • Clint had a massage to start the day.
  • I had zero plans but we took another walk and I took naps on and off all day - this head cold is kicking my butt.
  • I got some energy around 5p and ran to the local boutique to get a baby gift for our neighbors who just had their first - Maci was so excited to help me pick it out and run it up to the door.
  • In between bursts of productivity, I would lay back down.  I hate colds!
  • We all huddled in the living room and watched the final 4 in the evening - still cant believe the end to the Duke/Houston game.
Sunday:
  • Pushing myself to be productive today!  I slept in to try and kick this cold.  I took a long hot shower to try and steam it all out.  Thankfully today is in the 50s so we took a nice warm walk too.  I am feeling a bit better but trying to not over push it as I have a busy week.  Hopefully I wake up tomorrow feeling top notch.
  • Maci invited her friend Sloan over from school.  They have been on the neighbors trampoline most of the day.
  • Connor has some 3v3 basketball this evening which we are all looking forward to.
Getting ready to get back into routine starting tomorrow, wish us all luck!
Lots of Love,
