Arizona Trip 2 for Mom, Wayzata State Champs & Connor's 3x3 Start!

Late pics from last Sunday's Timberwolves Game
Love these 2
These 3 are on the same travel Baseball team this summer

Weekdays:

  • Monday - I took a super early morning flight (7a departure) to Phoenix for work.  Clint was so sweet to get up with me and drive me to the airport so I didn't have to deal with that solo or mess with an Uber that early in the day.  Thankfully I had a smooth flight and before I knew it, we were walking the Mesa facility floor.  It was a great visit with the team.  We had good discussion and an enjoyable dinner.  Back home, Clint ran Maci to soccer practice at 650p.  Thankfully Connor is in a lull between basketball and baseball.  Oh and Connor made a travel baseball team - we found out Sunday and I cant recall if I put it in last week's blog or not - go Connor!!!
  • Tuesday - This time we were off to our Infusion Pharmacy in Chandler, AZ - we spent the morning with them before having to hustle to the airport at 12p for our 230p flight home.  This one had a bit more bumps but I survived :)  Thankfully while we were getting ready to take off, I learned that the Wayzata boys basketball team won game 1 of the state tourney so that meant time to buy tickets for Thursday night.  Also, while at the airport I ran into my high school buddy Kevin Sullivan - they were on their way back from spring training - small world!  Once home, I took the uber since no one was feeling driving out to the airport to get mom :( HA
  • Wednesday - Fun day in the office as Michelle was up from Iowa so many of the MN locals came in to work from there for the day.  We then did a small team happy hour with about 8-10 of us.  I came home to the kids while Clint had to hit up a Coaches end of season basketball meeting.  Then he kindly hauled Maci to her 750-900p soccer practice - Woof too late for me!
  • Thursday - Another normal day at the office.  I then hurried home to get ready for all of us to head down to U of MN for the semi final state basketball game.  Wayzata had a dog fight with Shakopee but came out victorious - such a fun experience for the whole family!  On to Saturday for the Championship!
Friday
  • Super productive day both on work and personal front.  We had our bi-annual financial meeting which went well and I have some to dos.
  • Clint and Connor ran up to the dome to do some baseball practice while Maci headed to Infiniti for soccer training.
  • I had the house to myself and was able to have basketball on in the background while I got all sorts of "life" things caught up around the house.
Saturday
  • Started the day with Connor's basketball end of season party with the team and families at Dave and Busters from 10-1.  We had such an awesome team!
  • Then I came home for a nap while Clint ran Maci to Livian's 12th birthday at the movie theatre where they watched Snow White - the new live action one.
  • Everyone got home and chilled a bit before we met up with some b-ball families at Luce Line brewing for drinks/dinner ahead of the Championship state game.
  • Wayzata came out firing and they never let up - they rolled to a State title!  The boys were so pumped, even Maci was really into this run!
  • Go Trojans!!!
Birthday Party Fun!

Let's Go Trojans!
Sunday -
  • We all slept in - lovely!
  • Then I got a jump on the household chores along with Clint
  • Connor had his best buddy Anna over for a play date from 1230-3p
  • Then I finished stuff around the house while Clint and Connor were off to an early dinner with his 3v3 basketball families.
  • I had to hang back because Maci needed a ride to practice at 615p.
  • I dropped her and met up at the courts.  Connor's team had to play 4 games vs the usual 2 b/c we couldnt have any scheduled next weekend with Spring breaks and people out of town.  They played so hard, looked awesome, remembered all their cuts etc and WON ALL 4 GAMES!!!  We were so proud of those fellas :)
  • Came home to some final to dos and then crashed with our beloved Law and Order SVU.
We are all ready for spring break and warm temps to stay!
We hope you are enjoying this slow turn to spring!
Lots of Love,

Connor Baseball Tryouts and More Fickle Spring!

Weekdays:
  • Monday - I worked from home after struggling to get out of bed, darn spring forward!  Clint ran the Volvo in for break repair in the morning.  I was supposed to have an evening dentist apt but they called and moved me up to 4p.  I am glad it moved up b/c it was a really nice day outside and I got to experience a little more by having to get out and about.  That evening Maci had practice at Minnetonka and now that basketball is over, Clint can help with the driving for Maci.  I was so grateful to have an early to relax evening since he took her to and from :)
  • Tuesday - Cleaning lady day!!  It’s also our neighbor friend Tena’s birthday!  I worked from home again as I had about a 5 hour virtual workshop.  Clint and I started the day with a good walk so that I had moved my body a bit before the call started at 9a.  At night, Clint and Connor ran up to the dome for some baseball prep.  Maci had soccer training from 630-730p so I was her driver.
  • Wednesday - Headed into the office as I had some important meetings with Pharmscript, a company we are in the process of integrating into the Optum Pharmacy family.  Then I had our team’s quarterly business review in the afternoon.  In the evening Maci had a late practice from 8-9p.  Thankfully Clint was game to be her driver again :)
  • Thursday - Home again for me!  Busy day of meetings but super productive!  The weather is getting so nice, high 60s today!  Connor had a baseball clinic at 6p while Maci had soccer training from 630-730p.  Maci and I hit up Honey and Mackie’s for some ice cream afterward and then ran a quick errand at Target.  When we got home, Clint had the other 2 Wayzata basketball coaches over for some drinks.  While they were doing that, the Shamoon’s were kind enough to drive Connor home from the baseball clinic.
Friday:
  • This was an at home learning day but gorgeous weather!  We hit low 70s :)
  • I had a super productive morning and then was off to see a pharmacy in the area for another company we are acquiring.  It was great to get outside, visit a new space and then enjoy a drive home with the windows down.
  • I wrapped my day and then Clint and Connor were off to the Dome again for some practice.
  • I hauled Maci to her pal Charley’s birthday party by 6p.
  • I then got to enjoy a house to myself until around 9p when Connor and Clint got home and then Clint ran to get Maci at the end of the party around 1030p.

Crazy Girls Playing in Wigs
Maci has the Bright Red One

The girls got sleep masks and decided to “act it out” for Charley’s mom
Saturday:
  • Nice and slow/relaxing Saturday!  Clint was up and out helping with the 7/8th grade baseball tryouts.  While he was gone, the kids and I chilled at home.
  • Around 4p, I started to get Connor ready for his turn at tryouts - he had a 545p slot.
  • While I got him all dressed, Clint ran Maci to the Sheraton Hotel for another birthday party for M - this time it was Lilian’s sleepover.  They went shopping, ate dinner and then swam at the pool at the hotel before hanging out until 130a in the room.
  • Connor thought he did good at tryouts and we will find out by likely Monday if he made AAA (top team), one of 2 AA teams or no travel at all.  Connor is really gunning to just be on a team, fingers crossed for him, he is a tough worker!
  • We had some dinner and watched basketball the remaining of the night together.
Swimming Fun!
Sunday:
  • Clint picked up Maci at 9a from the hotel slumber party.
  • We had some bagels and then Clint and I took a walk - ugh so much colder - sunny but only 29 while we walked.
  • Got some things done around the house and then off to the appliance store to order our new gas stove and a new dishwasher.  Can’t wait for the install post spring break!
  • Now Clint is napping, Maci is playing on her phone, Connor is resting and I am about to shower and lay down myself.  Love a good lazy Sunday afternoon :)
  • Maci has practice at 615p tonight and Connor/Clint are heading to the Timberwolves game for Greenwood Elementary night!
  • I am going to hit the hay early as I have a 7a flight out to Arizona for a quick work trip tomorrow morning.
We hope you are gearing up for a nice spring break in the sun!  We can’t wait for ours in just a few short weeks ❤
Lots of Love,

Fickle Spring - Snow Storm Followed by Wonderful Weekend Weather & End of Winter Soccer Session!

Weekdays:
  • Monday - Normal Monday back in the swing of the work/school week.  Maci had Infiniti training for 2 hours at night and then Clint headed over to the neighbor, Josh's house for some Bourbon tasting.
  • Tuesday - It started to sleet/snow in the evening.  Fortunately I did ok picking up Annie from Maci's soccer team and then getting them both to practice.  Hauled home to rest there and thankful for Clint to do pick up.
  • Wednesday - SNOW DAY!  We got about 6-8 inches of snow, this fickle time of year!  The kids were off and I wasn't about to drive in with this muck on the road.  Due to snow day, Maci's practice was cancelled too.
  • Thursday - Clint had a dentist apt at 7a.  I worked from home again.  In the evening, Connor had Brower baseball followed by a clinic with Clint.  I on the other had met up with my pal Amber at the Stanchion for a catch up.  It was meat raffle night and my luck was on fire!!  First I won a $1 drink, then I won stuffed chicken breasts and pork chops.  Finally we played some pull tabs and on the first pull I got a $200.  Wahoo!!!  What a fun Thursday night out catching up with a good pal!
With my winning meat!
Friday:
  • Pretty and productive day!  Clint got our taxes filed and a massage.  I ran to Huntington bank to open an account for my parents as the trustee.  We also each got plenty of work completed.
  • I had a dull headache so tried to take a quick cat nap and some Tylenol which thankfully worked before we headed up to Medina ballroom to meet some of our fav soccer families from Fusion for dinner and drinks!
  • Afterward we had lots of laughs back at the Hintze beautiful home.
  • We finally called it around 11p since Maci was home watching Connor.
Saturday:
  • Up and at 'em for my 915a massage - glorious!!!
  • Clint helped at the older boys baseball evaluations from 1115a-230p.
  • While he was off doing that, Connor and I ran Maci to a Saturday practice out in EP.  While she was at practice, we wandered the EP mall and checked out the sporting store Scheels.  I got Connor some spring/summer ready gear.
  • Grabbed Maci and got home just in time for my 330p nail apt.  Maci tagged along and got a much needed pedicure - those cleats are hard on her feet!
  • After nails, we hauled out to River Inn for a yummy family dinner and enjoy the nice weather!
  • Once home, I was in jammies and ready to crash for a good night sleep and to prepare for losing an hour - spring forward!
Sunday:
  • Super productive day around the house!
  • Clint and I started our day enjoying the gorgeous weather by taking a walk with the dogs.
  • The kids played outside with Maci riding her bike to Target with friends and Connor playing the neighbors in basketball.
  • I got all my to dos done around the house and Clint did as well.
  • Maci had her finishing class at 330p so Clint ran her up there while I finished laundry and ordering groceries.
  • By 515p, we were off for Maci's final soccer game of the TCSL winter league.  They didn't play their best game but were able to pull out a 4-2 W!!!  Maci had a moment where she took a close range shot to the side, the noise was awful but she ran through it and tried to attack the goal.  We were so proud of her effort :)  This win clinched 1st place in the TCSL league - reminder, they played up against u13.  GO GIRLS!!!!  Next stop, San Diego!
  • We got home, put away groceries, did the night time bath/shower routine and were ready to start a whole new week!
Love this group of gals!

So excited for 70 degrees on Monday!  We then drop to 40 tomorrow but back up to 70s end of the week - we will deal with this fickle spring and hope the warm temps are here to stay soon!
Lots of Love,

End of Basketball for Connor & Spring Like Temps!!!

Weekdays:
  • Monday - I worked from home to get unpacked, laundry rolling, prepared for the week on the work front etc.  It was nice to be home and get things in order.  That night, I ran to get my nails done and Clint took Maci to her Infiniti training.  I ended up being the one to pick her up at the end and we enjoyed walking around outside without freezing!!!
Connor liked his spring training hat and Jammie pants from AZ
  • Tuesday - Cleaning lady came which always makes the house feel fresher.  We also had windows opened most of the day to air the place out - Yay!  Connor and Clint went to a dome time for baseball practice (Try outs in a few weeks!) and I ran Maci to her practice.  Clint kindly drove her home so I didn't have to hang around at the field for an hour and a half.
  • Wednesday - Tag teaming of the kids at night with Connor having one of his final b-ball practices at the same time as Maci's soccer practice.  Maci had a scrimmage against the girls a year old and was able to pull out a goal after pressuring their keeper and defense - go Maci!!  She keeps growing by the day :)
  • Thursday - 1st day of my boss being retired and we are running solo for a bit - not necessarily a bad thing :)  I worked from home and had a super productive day.  Clint and I took a walk around dinner time which was super nice to get out and about.  That evening, Connor had his final basketball practice.  One of the Wayzata varsity players even came to their practice.  Connor beat him in a round of lightening and he signed Connor's practice warm up jersey.  So cute!
Friday
  • I had a productive work day.
  • Clint had his buddy Paul over for some Bourbon while I wrapped my day.
  • Maci was going to head to Soccer training but she has a blister on her toe from ice skating that keeps ripping open so we let her have a few days of rest to have it better by next practices on Sunday.
  • We had a lazy evening at home which was so nice after a full week back.
Saturday:
  • Bright and early start with a 630a wake up call.
  • We were off to Connor's first game in the MN State Travel B-Ball Tournament.  Game 1 was at 8a in Prior Lake.  Connor's team was the only B team to make it into Tier 1 of the Tourney.  There were 5 tiers all together for our age and 72 teams.  There is a lot to be proud of to make Tier 1 BUT that also meant we played all the top teams from MN.
  • Game 1 we fought back in and lost by about 11 to a VERY good Chaska team.  Connor hit his first 3 pointer in that game and when I was done cheering I glanced next to me and saw tears in Maci's eyes.  I mean she may be the sweetest sister and kindest person I have ever met!!!  Love her and their bond.
  • Game 2 was no Bueno!  We lost by 1 to a team we beat in the last tourney by 1.  UGH!!!!
  • Afterward we went to lunch as a team and it was a blast, just what the boys needed to get that taste out of their mouth.
  • We then headed home and all took some naps.
  • Clint and I got up around 4p and got ready for our big date night out with the former neighbors the Verplanks - we do our annual dinner at Manny's the super fancy steakhouse downtown.  Their new neighbor at their new house is the head chef - it has become such a fun tradition.
  • We had lots of laughs and then had a night cap at our house before calling it at 10p.
Maci schooling Seb in air hockey
Sunday
  • Another early morning!  Not as bad today with a 730a wake up call.  Connor was so excited to put his scorpion temporary tattoo on his neck and to play his last game of his 1st year of travel basketball.
  • We got a good start to the game, great hustle, good D but dang our shots would not fall.
  • Unfortunately, we lost by 2 to a team we had beat twice during the year - UGH!  Not the way any of us wanted the year to end.  The coach kindly gave each kid a cookie and a chain with their number on it.  Unfortunately, Connor was given #58 vs his real #50 and that was all it took for the tears to come.  He had held it together until that point.  There were a lot of sad faces but we reminded them of their awesome season, took some pics, saw the moms tear up that it is over and then many of us went to watch the A team play in their final game which thankfully was a W!
  • We headed home in time to get a gift wrapped and prep Connor for a birthday party with some school friends - good medicine.
  • Clint ran with him and I took on all the house hold to dos - cleaned Connor's entire room, cleaned the junk drawers, did laundry, ordered groceries, got tax forms ready for the apt this week etc.
  • I felt so gosh darn productive but sunk right into bed, as did Clint after a go go weekend and a jam packed productive Sunday.  We couldn't even keep our eyes open for the whole TWolves game - thankfully we woke up today to find out they WON!
My Heart - #50

Love this Team
We hope you enjoy this teaser spring time and we are counting down the days until our fun in the Sun in CA over spring break at the end of the month.
Lots of Love,
