Visitors Leave, Volunteer Activity, Lots of Kids Fun with Friends and Sports, All the Sports!

Weekdays:

  • Monday - Dustin left super early and very thankful for Clint to drive him to the airport. I made it through the day feeling super rested thanks to a long good night sleep.  Connor had football practice and Maci had Forward training. Joe and Justine left that evening as well but explored the city during the day while we worked.
  • Tuesday - House got cleaned, love that day! Maci had practice and Connor had football practice too in the evening.
  • Wednesday - Clint managed baseball practice and Maci had a super late practice. While they did that, I volunteered for the non-profit I am on the board of. They make/sell ice cream on Wednesday nights at a farmers market. My good friend Megan went with me and we had the best time.  We got to meet 2 of the associates - David and Michael. They were such happy people and so proud of their ice cream. The 2 hours flew and I had a smile the rest of the night. Good reminder to make the time to pay it forward.
  • Thursday - Another day of all the things and Maci/Connor having their respective soccer/football practices at night.
Friday:
  • Started the day with a walk
  • Headed up to Greenwood with Clint for Connor's grizzly dash - he was so proud to come in 4th even though they dont have winners etc HA
  • Super productive afternoon and then it was time for Connor to head to Slick City for his buddy CJ's birthday party and Maci headed to Isla's for a sleepover.
  • I drove home Connor, Graham and Oliver and dang are those boys crazy to have in the same car at the same time HAHA

CJ's BDay Party
Thankfully he laughed at the girl birthday card and gift card Connor gave him
Saturday:
  • Started the day with Connor's football game vs Minnetonka - unfortunately our 2nd and worst loss so far - lost by 2 TDs
  • Came home and Connor zonked on the couch while I did things around the house and Clint took down 2 dead trees in the back with Nate.
  • I got Connor up in time for his haircut at 1p and then ran him to his buddy Chuck's house afterward as they were heading to an Apple Orchard with Chuck/Anna/Connor.
  • Maci got dropped back off by Isla's dad at 2p so she had time to get ready for her game.
  • We got to her game and Clint waited at home for Connor.
  • Maci's team won 1-0 and put on quite a show for the Janko family - Connor's head baseball coach Andrew and family and the crew she has babysat for.
  • After the game, our 2 families went to dinner for Andrew's birthday at Dukes on 7 - Yum!
  • Connor and I fell asleep on the couch and Clint/Maci left us there for the night.
Post Football Snoozes!

Orchard Fun!

Friendly vs Elmbrook!
Sunday:
  • Connor had 1 baseball game vs Orono at 10a and they 10 run ruled them - great W!
  • Maci babysat at a neighbors house from 11a-230p
  • Connor had game 2 vs a Wayzata house team and we 10 run ruled them too - nice pitching by Connor in both games!
  • Maci had training at 330
  • Afterward we ran to Dicks to get new cleats
  • She had her first GA leadership zoom call at 6p
  • I headed up to Medina Ballroom where the baseball families were hanging out and got a quick dinner + take home soup for Maci.
  • Now we are home and finishing all the to dos before the next week ahead.

Busiest Weekend but Oh So Fun!! Visitors, Sports, Farm Aid & Bengals Bust!

Weekdays:

  • Monday - Connor had football practice and Maci had soccer training.

  • Tuesday - Maci had to get picked up from school b/c she had 5p film study with her team then soccer practice.  Connor had a Football game (another W) which I got to watch most of before heading to pick up Maci from practice.
Listening to Coach Jason
  • Wednesday - Connor found out he made a 4th Grade A Basketball Team - 4-2A. Go Connor Man! Clint went golfing with our neighbor Ben. Connor had baseball practice and Maci had a late soccer practice.
  • Thursday - Tough/busy day at work as I had to impact a few of my team members. I managed Maci's soccer practice while Connor had football practice.
Friday:
  • Productive work day for Clint and me
  • My brother Dustin landed in MSP around 7p and they came to the house for a late pizza dinner and we watched the Notre Dame game.
Saturday:
  • My cousin Joe & his girlfriend Justine arrived around 830a
  • We all went to Connor's football game and they got their first L
  • Dustin and I left half way through to get to Maci's soccer game on time
  • Maci's team was on fire and won 12-0.
  • Clint and Joe/Justine got there right after Maci scored her goal - darn but Dustin saw it!
  • Connor never made it to the game as he was off to a buddies birthday party from the football game.
  • We hustled home and I changed quick before my friend Nicole got here and we were off to Farm Aid concert at the U of MN football stadium.
  • We were super impressed by Dave Matthews, Kenny Chesney and Willie Nelson even seemed great for his age. Unfortunately, John Mellencamp sounded HORRIBLE and that was my first concert ever so it really aged him for me.
  • While I was there, Maci babysat for the first time for Connor's baseball coaches 2 kids - she is such a good sitter! :)
  • We didnt get home until 3a due to some Uber challenges but a fun night with a good friend!

Maci - the best babysitter!
Sunday:
  • I had to rally and was up and at 'em by 9a the next day.
  • We were off to downtown by about 945a
  • We hung at the Bengals bar for a bit and that may be the last time we smiled as the Bengals looked like shit!
  • They had their worst loss by points in Bengals history! Super cool game to say you were at, NOT!
  • Thankfully I could keep an eye on Game Changer and Connor's team beat their arch rivals by 1 run via a walk off home run. Then they won by 1 run again in the next game and Connor's relief pitching got the job done.
  • We met up with my high school buddy Dave at a bar afterward and then headed home to chill.
  • By 8p, I took a shower and called it a night!
