Busy Week on the Home Front + Memorial Day Weekend!!

Weekdays:
  • Monday - Super busy day at work and feeling behind on everything! We rushed out of work to get to Maci's final track meet - Conferences! Not everyone was invited to this - only top finishers. Maci did well against some tough competition and proud of her for getting year 1 of track under her belt. Connor had some baseball practice and I tried to catch up on life.
Clint has LOVED being back at the track
  • Tuesday - I had a work networking thing to wrap my day. Maci had some age group training and twisted her ankle so sat out most of it. Connor had spring basketball practice.
  • Wednesday - I had an all day VP+ HR meeting at work and dinner at Blvd afterward. Maci went to her practice but watched thanks to the ankle. Connor played Minnetonka in baseball and they won!!!  I was watching on my phone during the dinner :)
  • Thursday - I had another 1/2 day leadership meeting. Then Connor had a game vs Orono that I made it to finally - an entire game! They won and Connor had a great double and some killer pitching!!  We headed to Roberts for dinner afterward. Clint grabbed Maci from practice and met up with us at the restaurant.
This Cutie Class is Almost Done!
Connor is back left in his Nike tech
Friday:
  • Almost holiday weekend!!!
  • We started the day with a walk with the dogs and agreeing to finally join the Medina Country Club.  We had no initiation by joining with the Jankos so too good not to.  Also, Maci is now old enough to come by herself / with friends to the pool.
  • I got caught up on quite a bit of work then ran Connor to a haircut at 4p
  • I then had a nail apt at 630p
  • A great lazy day to kick off the weekend in the rain.
Saturday:
  • Clint started the day with a massage
  • While he was there, the kids and I took a tour of our new club.
  • Connor then had a pitching clinic over lunch and I took a nap.
  • That night Clint went to dinner with some friends at Pub 819. The kids and I ordered Kobe Sushi and Hibachi for dinner and I caught up on my reality TV shows.
  • Nice relaxing evening before the warm weather hits.
Sunday:
  • We got a lot of stuff done around the house including laundry and hot tub water change.
  • We then headed to the Harty's for a pool party.
  • It was a good time catching up in the sun.
  • Then we went to dinner at the club for the 1st time, good food and nice time.
  • We hung back out with the Harty's but some wind and rain rolled in so we moved the party to our basement.
Love a good long weekend and so excited to see the club pool for the first time tomorrow!  We are so ready to say hello summer - not many more days of school (wrap June 5) and looking forward to many pool days to come!
Lots of Love,

Final Session in DC + Road Trip for Soccer + Baseball Tournament!

Weekdays:
  • Monday - I worked from home to try and get life in order. At night, Connor had a baseball game vs Edina. Maci and I joined for a bit, hauled to her middle school for her spring choir concert and then hauled back to Greenwood to watch Connor crush Edina with some awesome pitching.
  • Tuesday - I had a busy morning at the office and then headed to the airport. I had to fly to DC for my final session of my executive leadership program, ready to be done! While I was gone, Clint had to pick Maci up from track, run Connor to Brower baseball training, get Maci to and from Soccer practice and manage Connor at his spring basketball practice.
  • Wednesday - Connor has been doing a GoPro tech project after school this week. Clint also had to get to Connor's baseball game vs Delano - crushed them! While they were doing that, Maci had her district track meet - sad none of us could be there but she got 4th in her 100 out of 89, 4th in the long jump about of like 50 and their 4x100 got 1st in a photo finish!!!  Cael, our neighbor, then ran her from track to her soccer practice. While they did this, I got a pedicure in DC with 2 other dear colleagues.
Nice Work M!!

  • Thursday - I got to leave the program a little early at 330p. I flew home and got to the house around 10p. While in air, Maci had soccer practice and Connor did his spring basketball practice.
Friday:
  • So good to be home, even if briefly!
  • I worked from the deck as we got the living room and hallway carpets cleaned.
  • Before I knew it, Clint was taking Rosie to the groomer and I was off to get Maci at school for her 12p pick up.
  • We grabbed some quick lunch and then picked up Sam and Savannah to ride with us for our final weekend soccer trip.
  • We made it to Des Moines in a good 3.5 hours. It was nice to have another adult in the car.
  • We ate some food at the hotel and watched Connor's team lose in a tough one of game 1 of their tourney.
Cheering on Connor
Saturday:
  • We were up and at 'em watching Game 2 of Connor's - a good win!
  • Then we were off to our own game vs VSA. We needed to either W 1 or Tie 2 on the weekend to clinch 1st place and move on to Nationals.
  • The game was HOT but the girls worked hard - Maci played some killer defense!  We won 2-0 and clinched - the girls were dying!!!
  • We grabbed some quick late lunch and hit the road for Omaha - 2 hours later we were there.
  • Connor thankfully won game 3 and so they play on into Sunday.
  • We got some quick dinner of pizza and salads before crashing for the night.
More Cheering on Connor

Dinner with Friends

Connor had his own fun at Graham's with his baseball buddies
Sunday:
  • Connor's team got behind by alot in their morning game while we walked to Starbucks.
  • However, they ended up pulling out a tough Win in extra innings against the team they had lost to on Friday!
  • Then it was time for our game.  We won 6-3 and were right back in the car for the 5.5 hour drive home.  While heading home, we heard about Connor's loss in the semi which had them play for 3rd but they did it!!!  They got 3rd place and I love that one of the boys asked if the rings were Rose Gold vs Bronze HAHA
  • That also got them their bid for the state tournament - good job boys.  Everyone was happy to wrap the crazy weekend.  We pulled into the garage around 10p exhausted and smiling.
All smiles with a donut and a crazy W in game 1 of Sunday!
They took it to extra innings and won 25-21!!

Love this gal!

Connor had a great play for 3rd game!

They had to beat the other Wayzata AA for 3rd

All the Sports + Kellie's Birthday + Greenwood Carnival + Mothers Day + Big Soccer Weekend!!!

Weekdays:
  • Monday - Light day back in the swing of things. Maci had IDP defense training in the evening and Connor had some baseball practice.
  • Tuesday - Busy evening with Maci having track and soccer practices. Connor went with Clint to the AAA baseball game vs Tonka.  Then they hustled to Connor’s spring basketball practice.
  • Wednesday - Connor and Maci had respective practices at the same time - baseball and soccer. Connor then showed late to the spring skills and drills basketball clinic. Clint then wrapped his night with some Robert’s fun with our neighbor Ben Jonas and our good friend/head baseball coach, Andrew Janko.
  • Thursday - Happy Birthday to me!  The big 43.  Clint treated me by taking Connor to the Ortho in the morning, ha - kidding but I do appreciate him doing so.  Connor picked a nice Navy and white for his bands this time. We also found out the bite plate can come out next time, yay! I wrapped my day with a facial and brow appointment then grabbed myself some Punch Pizza for dinner - great birthday spoiling!  Maci had soccer practice and Connor did a hitting clinic before his spring basketball practice.
Birthday Love from the Soccer Team w. AI

Flowers from my team at work
Friday :
  • Maci had a track meet that Clint met her at.  They did great!
  • While they were at the track meet, I was at the Greenwood Carnival with Connor and his pals Anna & Chuck
  • Clint and Maci then met us at the carnival and relieved me so I could go to a hat making party with the baseball moms.
  • After the hat party, I met up with Clint and Andrew at the Janko house for a night cap. We chatted way too late and left around midnight.
Saturday:
  • Connor had some baseball practice around 10a
  • Maci had a big game against North Shore at 1230p - thankfully they got the job done and beat them 5 to 3!!
  • I got a nap in afterward and then at night we went out for my birthday at 6 Smith - just Clint and I - so nice and then back home for an early bedtime after being Crazy on Friday!

Sunday:
  • Happy Mother’s Day!!!
  • We hosted a “safety meeting” to celebrate all the moms at our house starting at 8a ahead of Maci’s big game against SC Wave. It was a chilly game but we got the job done with a 2-1 V.  That’s putting us in 1st place, rock on ladies!!!
  • We then hit up a Mother’s Day brunch at Duke’s at 1245p.
  • I got a nap in because I get to do what I want on this day :)
  • I then wrapped my wonderful evening with some 3v3 basketball, Connor cooked!

Quick Trip for Clint, Lost Keys!, Track Meet for M, TFE ID Camp, Timberwolves & Wild Advance to Round 2 of Playoffs!!

Weekdays:
  • Monday - Clint was in FL for work. I worked from home to be here for when Connor got off the bus.  We had a quiet night with just Maci doing track after school and then we got to chill for the evening.
  • Tuesday - Clint got home from FL midday.  He grabbed Maci from track, Connor had baseball 6-8p and then Clint was going to pick up Maci and Ayla from Soccer at 845p.  Well Clint lost his keys somewhere at the baseball practice, no clue where, had boys looking every where.  As of today, Sunday, they have still not turned up.  Yes, he did flush his set of keys down the toilet at a bar/restaurant last year.  Clint is becoming a very expensive liability.  I had to then get up and run to get the girls from soccer and help him with a spare set to get the car home.
Sweet Connor!!
  • Wednesday - Clint dealt with Maci's track again while I had a happy hour with 2 co-workers - Winona and Jen.  We tried this super cute wine shop in downtown Hopkins.  Then I ran to the high school to pick up the girls from soccer while Connor and Clint were at spring basketball clinic.
  • Thursday - I hustled out of work around 430p for Maci's track meet at the high school near my office.  I met up with Clint.  Unfortunately I got there after she already ran her 100m and got 11th overall from all the heats - she didn't feel she did her best and complained that it was COLD - which it really was for a track meet - ick! I then watched her do the long jump and she placed 8th out of 75 girls!  Then they did their 4x100 relay and got 2nd!  As soon as Maci was done with her events, we were off to soccer practice and Clint ran to baseball to meet up with Connor.  We got home in time to see the Wild win game 6 at home to move on in the playoffs and then after that the Timberwolves somehow pulled together the grit and will with many injuries to pull off the W and knock out the Denver Nuggets!!!!  Such a FUN MN Sports Night!
Friday:
  • Clint had to then hustle to the vet with Rosie and Boomer for their annual check up.  Both are doing great and other than Boomer not really seeing, hearing - he is doing great for 16.5 years of age!
  • I had a busy Friday with a 2 hour AI training and then a 2 hour workshop with one of my groups as well as some meetings in between.
  • I finally got to get some work done in the late afternoon.
  • Clint ran to get Maci from track.
  • After some pizza, Connor and Clint were off to an evening baseball practice.
  • Maci had a TFE ID camp from 730p-900p at Wayzata High School and I went to get my nails done at 730p after dropping her off.
  • I watched some of the camp from the car for the final 30 mins and she was COOKIN!  So fun to see how much she has developed over the years with this team.
  • Maci and I then met up with Clint/Connor at the Janko's for some fire and drinks.
Saturday:
  • Nice slower Saturday!  Started the day with a walk.
  • Connor and Clint had a baseball practice at 12p.
  • I took a nap and then ran Maci to her Middle School play to watch some friends at 2p.
  • While she was there, I sat in the car and completed a work deliverable which was the best way to kill an hour with the window down on a sunny day in a parking lot :)
  • We then came home, Connor got dropped off at a play date at Anna's and Maci and I headed out to Target for a little shopping.
  • We chilled around the house the rest of the night all watching our shows and Clint picked up Connor from the play date at 9p
Ice Cream & Games w. Bros Post Baseball
Sunday:
  • Connor helped out the Wayzata team today for the 3rd game in their basketball tourney - 12p.  Unfortunately it was a loss but he played well and hustled, my gold standard :)
  • We grabbed some lunch and got home.
  • Clint is helping to wash the cars on this gorgeous day!
  • I am working through all the laundry
  • Tonight Maci has a soccer training from 6-7p and then a TFE week prep call with her coach at 8p as we play the #1 and #3 teams this weekend!!!  Thankfully at home!
  • Connor and I will head to his 3v3 basketball tonight at 640p and 730p.
Hoping this awesome weather sticks around this week for my birthday, soccer games and Mother's Day!
Lots of Love,

Timberwolves & Wild Playoffs, Hanging with Baseball Pals & a Weekend of Soccer!!

Weekdays:
  • Monday - I picked up Maci from track after school while Clint got to a 545p baseball practice for Connor.  Maci then had IDP soccer training at 8p and Clint kindly took her to and from that one.
  • Tuesday - I picked up Maci again from track after school as Connor had his first baseball game vs Tonka.  I dropped her at home and then flew to the game - another gorgeous night for baseball.  The boys got down by 11 runs, UGH!!  But then when I got there we started a rally and came all the way back plus up by 3 runs.  Connor got walked 3 times and then pitched a perfect inning.  Unfortunately inning 2 they started to hit him and they got up by 1 on us.  We got bodies on base but couldn’t hit one of them and lost by 1.  Tough 1st loss but the boys played great.  We went to Dukes for a late dinner with the team.  Clint ran and grabbed the girls from soccer and then they joined us before I drove them home.
  • Wednesday - Kids had their math state tests at school. Clint grabbed Maci from track and then got to Connor’s Baseball practice followed by spring basketball clinic.  I had a Cargill retirement happy hour followed by grabbing the girls from soccer practice and eating ice cream on the way home
  • Thursday - I was on kid practice duty b/c Clint was heading to the Timberwolves game 3 of the playoffs.  I picked up Maci from soccer after dropping Connor at his basketball practice.  I then got to watch Connor for a bit and damn if he wasn’t playing really well!  It was so fun watching him ball.  The Timberwolves put on a show for Clint and all of us at home so that made it super worth the late night.
Friday:
  • Productive day at home
  • Clint picked up Maci from track
  • We hustled quickly to Loretto for dinner/drinks with Zacjek’s and Jankowiak baseball parents.
  • We had a really great time, lots of laughs and in bed by 10p
Saturday:
  • Maci had another spring game at 9a vs Union KC and we won 5-1!
  • Connor had baseball pictures during it but they made it for the 2nd half
  • I then hustled to the middle school after the game to help sell baseball merchandise with Lyndsay Jankowiak - I was at the school until about 230p and crashed for a great nap once home
  • We had a lazy rest of our night and laid on the couch cheering on those Timberwolves to another victory!!
Sunday:
  • Maci had yet another 9a game, could we do it a little later HAHA - this time it was against Kansas Rush and the final was 3-1 - Yay!!
  • We ate at Snuffy’s malt shop for an early lunch after the game
  • I took a nap and then got some stuff done around the house
  • Clint had to leave to the airport for a short work trip to FL around 3p
  • Before we knew it, it was 6p and time to head to Connor’s 3v3 - they played great and won both games!
  • Clint landed in FL and we are all ready to hit the hay.
Here’s to another great spring week!
Lots of Love,
