Kellie Spent the Week on the Sun, AKA Phoenix! Connor had St Thomas B-Ball Camp & we all partied with the Savannah Bananas!!

Weekdays:

  • Monday - Day 1 of Connor's Basketball Camp down at St Thomas University in St Paul.  Connor had the best car pool all week with buddies Cash, Eli and River.  Clint said it was like listening to a boys locker room but with 10 year old mouths vs college/high school age. HA I ran Connor to Eli's house and then the carpool took him from there. That afternoon Maci did a training haus workout.  I left work and met up with my former coworker and friend Amber.  So fun!
Day 1 Smiles in the Sun
Cash, Eli, River, Connor

Where do you want to go to college
River back to CA & Connor wants to be a Buckeye
Cash is heading to Denver and Eli to the Dakotas Hmmmm
  • Tuesday - I once again ran Connor to Eli's for the car pool.  I then worked from home and packed as I had to leave for the airport around 1230p.  I was off to Phoenix for a leadership team onsite. I had a smooth flight and arrived on the surface of the sun!  It was already like 120 when I landed at 4p Phoenix time. I met up with my biz leader for some cocktails and then we had a yummy team dinner.
  • Wednesday - More St Thomas camp for Connor.  A full day of meetings for me followed by another HOT walk to drinks and dinner.  Connor got his new mattress and bed delivered.  Maci did a training haus workout.
The hot view from the hotel rooftop bar
  • Thursday - Clint was the to and from driver for the camp so he worked from the campus for the day. I worked from the hotel for the morning and then left to the airport around 10a Arizona time/12p at home.  It was the craziest flight I have had.  1st the heat was spewing out vs AC, turns out the AC busted as we were taxing.  Fortunately, they were able to eventually turn if off in the air.  Then the FAA had to close MSP for outgoing and incoming flights but those of us already in air were fine.  Thankfully there were no bumps so I got home in one piece and I am a ok to not have a flight for a bit.  I pulled up to the house around 6p ready to rest!
Friday:
  • Final day of camp for Connor and I ran him to Eli's house again.
  • Clint had to take Rosie to the groomer in the afternoon.
  • I had a productive day.
  • Maci was super bummed that the club cancelled the pool party Karaoke night due to some rain and chillier temps but I cheered her up with Hibachi dinner instead
Saturday:
  • I had a massage to start the day at 9a and it was just kind of meh - I may take a break for a bit - the salon stopped taking AmEx, they are charging some weird % for using a card AND it wasnt that relaxing.  Bummer
  • I got a lot done at the house by rearranging Connor's room with the new furniture etc and then Maci and I went through her closets and drawers with 2 bags of trash and another 2 bags of donation - ahhh just in time for school.  While I did this, Clint was mowing the lawn.
  • Before we knew it, time to get ready for the Savannah Bananas game!!!!  Archer and Livi showed up at our house by 4p and then the bus pulled up at 430p.  This bus was PRICELESS - so ghetto! That didnt stifle our fun on the ride down - lots of drinks and shots for the adults and the kids thought they were so cool dancing to the tunes and standing up while riding.
  • Our tickets were INSANE good - thanks to my high school buddy Dave!  We were 6 rows up right on the 1st base line.  Connor and Archer took advantage and hung out by the netting.  They each snagged a ball and MANY autographs with Connor choosing to have his glove signed and Archer got his shirt signed.  The boys LOVED it and Clint/Maci/Livi and I had a great time too.
  • A bus ride home and we were off to the Harty's to finish the night at the fire with their Iowa State crew who were in town. One drink and we were ready to call it - EXHAUSTED!

Sunday:
  • Started the day with a walk
  • Then Anna came over to play with Connor, first time they had a chance to hang out this summer together :)
  • We sold and loaded out Connor's former bunk bed
  • I continued to get a lot done around the house
  • Connor and Clint headed out to the Spider Man movie at 230p and Maci and I hit Target for back to school supply shopping
  • That night we had 2 3v3 games that we lost in a shoot out of the 1st one but then won handedly the next
  • We ordered some sushi, finished up a few to dos and CRASHED!!!
As much as I am sad to see summer coming to an end, I am starting to get excited about fall fun!

Connor's All Star Weekend!

Weekdays:

  • Monday - It is HOT!!! Connor had skills & drills basketball to start the day. Clint went golfing with some of Connor's friend's dads in this crazy heat!
  • Tuesday - Another day of skills & drills for Connor.  In the late afternoon, Maci had Training Haus and Connor went to his buddy Anders' for his birthday. Clint picked him up a little early to make it to All Star baseball practice at Brower.
  • Wednesday - Another day of skills and drills for Connor. That night he got his haircut but all he wanted to talk about was bleaching it - she couldnt fit us in that night but did schedule us for Friday, I am a sucker for these kids!
  • Thursday - More basketball for Connor to start the day and then Maci did her training haus to wrap the day and that is all we had, what a nice chill Thursday!
Friday:
  • Busy day for Connor man!!!
  • He started the day with some open gym that he was invited to
  • Then at 1p it was time for the hair bleach!  I came through with the promise :) He loves his new 'do and I really like it too.
  • I then got home and kept cleaning up work for the week.
  • Unfortunately, it rained all day so game 1 of the all star tournament was delayed so we had a free evening.
  • Andrew came over and had drinks while I prepared Maci's TFE launch video for this year's season.

The Process!
From Trump to Toner to make it extra white
Finished Product
had a tint of purple at first b/c you want all the yellowy tone out but that was gone by day 2
Saturday:

  • Connor had game 1 at 1045a - they were down by about 9 but then rallied all the way back and won on a walk off.  Connor was on 3rd and with no outs encouraged Clint to tell Andrew to have the batter bunt. The Edina batter did a bunt of beauty, the catcher touched it so it was fair and as he was trying to figure out what happened, Connor shot out like a cannon and stole home.  Game over, we win!!!!  So freaking fun and smart by Connor man!!!
  • Game 2 was at 215p so after some sandwiches in the shade, we were back.  We got up by about 12 on this team and then they did the same to us that we had just done, came all the way back to beat us by 2. The Orono team we were matched with for the All Star game had some good hitters but their fielding was WOOF!  Oh well, just for fun!
  • We headed to Lucky 13s for an early dinner with the team and while we were there, Maci got picked up for her pal from school Sloane's birthday sleepover.
Sunday:
  • Game 3 was at 9a and Connor and the boys put a SMACK down 20 something run win over this team!!!!
  • We had some down time and then played for 3rd or 4th of the tournament.  We faced a tough team that we could not hit against and the Orono fielding (or lack thereof) was back in full force HA
  • Either way, the boys loved their free t-shirts, trophies with all their names on them and great memories of being an All Star!
  • B/c of the time of the game, we had to miss our 3v3 basketball but they also won both so that is great news!
  • Instead we came home and hustled up to the pool for a few hours to relax and put off preparing for the week ahead.

  • Tuesday - Connor did his skills and drills and then football camp.  At night they had their outdoor baseball practice and an end of year team party.  Hunter was there and Maci wisely brought a soccer ball so they could do something together. So cute!
Sibling Wiffle Ball Fun!
Maci caught a pop fly that Hunter hit. . . cute

Such a great group of kids!
  • Wednesday - Another day of skills and drills and the last day of football camp.  Connor then joined Maci at training Haus for the workout. I met up with many of my TFE soccer moms at Maynards for happy hour. After that, Clint and Connor had their final baseball practice.
  • Thursday - I worked from home. Maci had an ortho apt in the AM. We let Connor skip skills and drills to be ready for his baseball game that night. We had the league championship and WE DID IT!!!!  Connor closed and this time when the last batter had an 0-2 count he threw a change up and the kid swung, missed, strike out - game over!!!  The smile on Connor’s face was priceless!! After the game, we all went down to the Saints game as a team to wrap an awesome season!!!  Such a nice comfortable night for baseball.

18 Years of Marriage + Connor League Playoffs & MBT Baseball Tourney!!!

Weekdays:

  • Monday - Connor had skills and drills to start the day. After work, I met up with some of my fav Fusion soccer moms - Kim, Kristi and Kari. I hadn’t seen them in far too long. While I was there, Connor was at baseball practice with Clint.
  • Tuesday - Another day of skills and drills basketball for Connor. Maci did a training haus workout and then Connor picked up his tackle football gear in the evening.
  • Wednesday - Busy day for Connor! Started with skills and drills then went to the batting cages for Derek’s birthday party. Then they had the semi final for league playoffs at Greenwood.  We crushed Prior Lake, Maci asked Chase’s brother (Hunter) for his number ❤ and then we went for ice cream and dinner where we talked all about the match maker we are playing with Maci and Hunter. . . Quite the athletic couple HA
  • Thursday - Another day of skills and drills basketball for C man and another round of Training Haus workout for Maci. That evening Maci got her nails done while Connor had some Brower batting practice with his team.
Maci's face when she found out Harper made the Top Fusion Team!
Friday:
  • We took the day off as Connor’s tournament started at 12p with game 1. While we were at Game 1, squeege magic came to clean our outside windows.
  • Game 1 and 2 were disasters - worse baseball we played all year.  Game 1 was a loss to a weak Chaska who was so fired up to beat us by 1 run. Then we played Game 2 vs a team up north and they spanked us. . . We had zero clue what was going on and started to plan other things to do with our weekend.
All Smiles Before Tough Losses

Nothing a little fan and Baseball pillow cant fix
Saturday:
  • Happy 18 years of marriage to us!!!
  • We should have known better than to plan out a free weekend b/c our boys has a slim margin of playing on - we had to beat Blaine by 8, we won by 11. We also needed the team that spanked us to do the same to Chaska. . . .well they did and we moved out of pool play as the #2 from our bracket.
  • We went on to play 2 bracket play games and won them both - holy shit we are moving on to top 8 in the state!  Totally where this team belongs but also after Friday, we were shocked.
  • We hustled out of there to make our dinner reservations at the Club for our anniversary.  It was a nice dinner and a cocktail to cap off a hot and long day of baseball.
Fun Pics after some Wins!

Really likes him some Benjamin!

18 Years of Marriage
Sunday:
  • Maci was equally excited for today’s games as Hunter was going to be able to make it since his tournament ended early ❤
  • We 10 run ruled the first team and now were top 4 in the state!!!!
  • We had to face Apple Valley, a team that spanked us in our Wayzata tourney earlier in the year, we took them to extra innings - what a game!!!  We got up 2 and then Connor took the bump - they had 2 on base and with an 0-2 count he gave up an in the park home run, they beat us in walk off fashion.  Connor and the team was crushed!!!!  We had to pick Connor up helping him realize that was not on him etc.
  • He rebounded and we got to play for 3rd against our nemesis Tonka - the boys rallied - Connor even pitched to get back on the horse - we won!!!!!!! 3rd in the state - way to go boys!!!!
  • After lots of pictures, many of us met up at the pool for cool off and then we hit up Connor’s 3v3 late that night and he played great there too.. . .boy was going to sleep great at night!!!
Final 4 in the State

We got 3rd!!!!
