Our Week in Review 🍂⚽🎃

Monday 🎳

Maci had a “date” with a boy she’s been talking to, Zach! They met up at Tuttle’s Bowling at 6 p.m. Clint dropped her off, and then he and I met at a bar for a drink while we waited for their hour of bowling. 😂

Maci had a great time and won 3 of the 4 rounds they managed to squeeze in! Not a bad first date! 😉

Tuesday 🏀🎃

BUSY day! I worked from home since my day started super early with the UHG earnings call. I was pretty much back-to-back all day before running to Connor’s teacher conference.

He’s a fun kid who works hard and likes to make people laugh. Yep, that sounds about right! 😂

I hustled home to grab Maci, and we headed to the club for cocktails and pumpkin carving night. 🎃 Maci carved a fun pumpkin while I caught up with some of our friends who also belong to the club.

Meanwhile, Connor and Clint were at their FIRST night of basketball practice. Their team scrimmaged the other team and kicked their rears! 🏀 We’re looking forward to a fun season ahead!

Maci and I hurried home so our neighbor Cael could drive her to soccer practice. I stayed home to join her virtual teacher conference, where I learned she’s a ray of sunshine — super inclusive, kind, and hardworking. Yep, that sounds about right, too! ❤️

After basketball, Clint picked Maci up from soccer at 9:30 p.m. Just another quiet, relaxing Tuesday around here. 🤪

First day of fall break for the kids!

Clint and Maci went to a hip appointment that morning since she’s been having some minor pain. They discovered that her right hip still has some dysplasia from infancy, even though we were told she had “graduated” from treatment. The good news is she can continue playing soccer, but she’ll also be doing six weeks of PT. Fingers crossed that helps!

That evening, Maci had soccer practice, but the rest of us enjoyed a pretty chill night. We’ll take it!

Thursday ⚽

Connor had his orthodontist appointment in the morning. We’re still not sure when he’ll get this first round of braces off!

I had my nonprofit board meeting for Equality, and Maci had her first PT session for her hip in the afternoon.

That evening, Clint helped with field cleanup for baseball while I ran Maci and Ayla to soccer practice. Ayla’s family brought the girls home since I was already fast asleep by then. 😂 Apparently, I’d had enough excitement for one day!

Friday 🎃❤️

DAY OFF! Clint and I took Friday off to spend some time with the kids during fall break.

We weren’t exactly the most fun parents, though, since we used our long weekend without sports to tackle some much-needed things around the house. 🤣

I got laundry going and caught up with my former business partner, Erin. She’s loving her new job, and it was so great to hear how she’s doing!

Then I completely reorganized my closet and ended up with TWO trash bags of clothes to donate to Goodwill. 👏 A very satisfying accomplishment!

We headed to Medina Country Club for dinner at 5:30, hurried home to change for the cooler evening, and then headed out to the MN Zoo for the Zootacular Jack-O’-Lantern fun! 🎃🦁

We all love this event, and this year was no different. Such a fun fall tradition!

After we got home, I settled in with the podcast I’m currently hooked on, Love Trapped. 🎧

Happy 17th Birthday, Mr. Boomer! ❤️🐾 What a milestone for our sweet old guy!

We started the morning with the kids getting their flu shots, followed by a family breakfast at Perkins. We then watched the OSU game, which was STUPID stressful! 😩🏈

Maci had her friend Isla over for most of the afternoon while I headed out to get my nails done at 3 p.m. 💅

I got home, ordered Kobe for dinner, and watched football with Clint. I also managed to finish organizing my closet (shoes and bags!) and deep-clean the kids’ bathroom with Maci.

Sunday 🍁☀️

A GORGEOUS fall Sunday, 64 degrees and sunny!

Clint and I started the day with a nice, long walk with Rosie. 🐶 We ordered groceries and then finished our will/estate/trust questionnaire. Nothing says Sunday fun like estate planning! 😂

Clint got started on yard work while I put away the groceries and finished laundry.

Connor is currently jumping on the trampoline with his friend Marek, and Maci is at a pumpkin patch with Isla and her family. 🎃

I have some work prep to do later today, but for now, I’m enjoying a low-key Sunday with pumpkin candles burning and buffalo chicken dip cooking on the smoker. Honestly, not a bad way to wrap up the weekend!

Connor Picture Day + Wrap Up of Football & Fall Baseball & Livi's 14th Birthday Fun!

Weekdays:

• Monday: I had a half-day onsite with my leadership team, and that night Connor had football practice while Maci had her Training Haus fitness class. Back into the weekday grind!
• Tuesday: Connor had his 5th grade picture day and decided he wanted to dress “nice” this year, which was pretty cute. I had an all-day onsite at work and celebrated my leader’s 50th birthday. Clint got the sprinklers blown out in preparation for the impending winter months. That night, I had happy hour with my former coworkers/friends Nicole and Katie. While I was there, Clint and Connor had football practice and Maci had soccer practice. Divide and conquer!

Picture Day Ready!

• Wednesday: Clint had a day-long golf benefit, and I met with our financial advisor for our biannual check-in. I ran Maci and Ayla to soccer practice and then rushed over to Connor’s football game at the high school. It was a close loss, but Connor had a sweet DB knockdown in the end zone and a few great passing plays at QB. While we were at football, Clint had his baseball board meeting. Just a normal Wednesday around here!

• Thursday: Busy day at work for me, and then Connor had his final baseball practice at night while Clint coached the final football practice and Maci had soccer practice. Lots of “lasts” as the fall seasons start wrapping up.

Friday:

• I had a productive day working from home.
• That night we went to River Inn with the Codys for a date night and wrapped up the evening with one final cocktail at Hilltop Bar on the way home. Such a fun night!

Saturday:

• BUSY day!
• Connor started the morning with open gym for basketball.
• Then it was off to his final football game. Another loss, ugh, it has been a tough last few weeks, but he had a SWEET blitzing tackle and a catch-and-run for a TD!!
• Maci volunteered with two friends at the cancer benefit sucker booth during the girls varsity game.
• Clint and Connor hit up the end-of-football-season party.
• I ran Maci from the high school to her friend Livi’s house for her 14th birthday.
• The girls went up to Broadway Pizza and ran into a bunch of the 8th grade football boys. Oh dang, they are growing up!!
• Clint did some field prep for baseball and then came home for dinner and football on TV with me and Connor.
• I picked Maci up from Livi’s at 11 p.m., and that officially wrapped up another packed Saturday.

Sunday:

• Another busy one!
• We started with Maci’s soccer game against Salvo. We were hoping for a bigger win, but we pulled off a 1-0 victory during our pink-out celebration for breast cancer awareness.
• Connor had game one of baseball, and they 10-runned the other team.
• Maci and I ran up to Blaine to watch Harper’s soccer team, who had a tough loss.
• I then hustled back down to Connor’s second baseball game while listening to the Bengals game. Thankfully, the Bengals beat the Dolphins, AND Connor’s team pulled off a walk-off win against Westonka. Wins all around!
• We hustled home, and I finally got our flights booked for Honduras for spring break thanks to a super helpful Delta agent. Woohoo!
• Before we knew it, Clint was off to the basketball coaches meeting, and Connor and I were headed to his 3v3 games.
• Connor and his team were BALLING out and won both games by a good margin. It was so fun watching them move the ball and drive!
• After the coaches meeting, Clint had his assistant coaches over for a drink and to chat about prep for the season.
• I finished putting laundry away and completely crashed after a fun, full, and oh-so-busy weekend!

Wayzata Homecoming Week & Game + Kellie Heads w. Cincy 6 to Baltimore!!

Weekdays

Monday:
A special week for Maci as they had fun theme days each day for Homecoming week! Day 1 was “Dress as Your Favorite Season,” and she was Fall — which was pretty easy with the weather getting more cozy around here. 🍂

That night, Connor had football practice and that was about it, so Maci and I enjoyed a lazy evening at home.

Tuesday:
I had a really nice, slow day at work since our most senior leaders were at an annual forum, so I was able to catch up on some things, which was super nice! It was “Dress as Your Favorite Celeb” day at school, but Maci didn’t really care for that one, so she skipped it. 😂

The only thing we had that night was Maci’s soccer practice since Connor’s football practice got rained out.

Wednesday:
Maci and Clint got up SO early and went to a 5 a.m. Plyo workout class at the club — so impressed! Then Maci wore her USA Trinity Rodman soccer jersey for “Sporty Day” at school.

My schedule wasn’t too bad again at work, but people were doing stupid things, so the day was definitely annoying. 😂

That night, Connor had football practice at the park/field behind our house, and Maci had soccer practice.

Thursday:
Maci had “Rhyme Without Reason” day at school, and she was Princess Diana. One friend was a bandana and another was a banana. I love that she will actually play along with these things! 😂

That evening, Connor had baseball practice while Clint continued helping coach football. After that, Clint had two buddies, Pat & Andy, over for bourbon. While he was doing that, I took the girls to soccer practice for the night.

Friday

I worked and got some things done after our walk first thing in the morning. Then I had to do some quick packing and get ready for my girls’ trip to Baltimore!

My high school girlfriends and I were heading out to support and celebrate our dear friend Rachelle and her husband on his new gig as the Ravens head coach. ❤️💜

At noon, Clint drove me to the airport, and I worked from the Delta Lounge for a few hours before boarding a super easy, smooth flight. I even got upgraded to First Class, which was a nice little treat!

I hung around the airport for about 30 minutes, and then Emily landed, followed by Erin, and finally Meagan and Alisa.

We rode to our Airbnb, walked to the liquor store, and then grabbed a late dinner at a seafood restaurant behind our house.

We stayed up laughing and talking until 1 a.m. and then finally crashed!

Saturday

We woke up and sat around chatting and watching College GameDay. We ordered some coffee and had a very slow-moving morning — exactly what we needed!

We finally took a walk to get a bagel sandwich and then hopped in an Uber to our friend Rachelle’s son’s flag football game.

Monte played great, and afterward we headed to Rachelle’s house. We had some lunch, toured her gorgeous home, and then sat outside on the patio chatting and watching college football.

Before we knew it, it was time to get ready for dinner. We had some AWESOME seafood throughout the trip, and dinner was no exception. We also had some deep conversations during dinner and then grabbed some fun drinks at a nearby hotel with a super fun patio.

We got back to our Airbnb, and Rachelle hung out with us until midnight before Ubering home. Around 1 a.m., I had to call it again — TOO tired! 😂

Sunday

Up and at ’em! We got up around 9 a.m., got ready, and had to be out of the house by 10.

We headed to a local diner with our suitcases and had a great greasy-spoon breakfast before heading to the stadium.

We met Rachelle’s sister-in-law in the parking lot and headed into the stadium. We went down on the field and right away I saw PJ — YAY!

Then Rachelle and the kids arrived, and we got to hang out with Jesse as well as their kicker, Loop, for a bit. It was rainy and drizzling, so we were totally okay with not hanging down there much longer and headed up to their suite!

Ravens WIN! Bengals LOSE (sad 😭) and Connor won BOTH of his baseball games — YAY! I was able to try to keep an eye on all three throughout the day, which was a little crazy but so fun.

Once the game ended, we were off to the airport. I had about an hour to wait at my gate, and then we boarded and took off on time. Thank goodness! :)

Clint and the kids are picking me up, and I am SO excited to see them. I love my crew so much! ❤️

I’m going to be ready to go right to bed and then do another crazy-busy week all over again… but this time with my favorite people!
