Wee One Haircuts!

We had a fairly uneventful summer week at the Mondell house.  Connor continues to be our doll baby and Maci continues to keep us on our toes, often transitioning from wanting to shake her to laughing at her all within the same 5 mins.

Friday - No plans and a long work week led to a good long family walk around the neighborhood to get us all some much needed fresh air!  Maci told us funny stories about her week at school and Connor made my heart swoon as usual.  My little family sure knows how to get me out of a "funk" and to realize what really matters!

Saturday - We had a fairly lazy Saturday.  We hit up the library again for another week of books.  We ran some errands, did a little online shopping and took a nap.  We eventually got up and moving to get a late lunch at Rojo and a little shopping for mom at Lululemon.  Clint and I enjoyed quite a few episodes of our new HBO fav, Ballers while we made every effort to get M in bed - UGH bedtime any more :(  Can I hire someone to handle it for us?!

Sunday - Busy fun day!  We took the kids to the zoo in the morning after a quick stop for bagels.  After hitting a few of our favorite zoo features, we were off to the mall to try to find Clint jeans (an unachievable task I have decided) and get the kiddos haircut.  Maci loved the full Aveda haircut experience which included hot towels on her conditioned hair and a hand massage.  I thought she was going to fall asleep she was in such a trance HAHA!  Connor also did great with his first trim - he still has all his sweet hair but hopefully fewer Donald Trump comparison comments now!  A few more errands concluded and now we have Maci's current fav movie "Annie" playing while Connor chills and Clint/I prep for the busy week ahead.

HOT HOT HOT

This week was a scorcher!  It was in the 90s almost every day and crazy high humidity.  We all attempted to beat the heat inside with the AC, ice cream and lots of water.  The week ahead seems to be high 80s so hopefully a bit of a relief, if high 80s are a relief :)

Tuesday was our actual 8 year anniversary and Clint honored the day by sending flowers to work :)  We can also have pretty flowers at the house now that Milo is gone who used to eat all flowers!
Connor continues to have amazing hair and I take pictures of it on a very regular basis :)
Maci continues to have a blast at school during their summer program which means events every single day.  This past week she got to have bubble day (in the morning before it got too hot!) and made a pet rock another day and named is "fluffy," seemed fitting HAHA :)

Maci informed me when I brought her home on Wednesday that all her friends loved her dress but her boyfriend big Jack.  He likes green dresses.  Thursday morning when I say ok what are we wearing, "a green dress for Jack" She is 3 going on 16!  However, when Clint picked her up, she was very happy to say that Jack liked her dress very much :)  Jack is the tall guy in the last bubble picture with yellow shirt and navy/white shorts.  He has great parents so she could do worse haha
So Grown Up
Thursday - Connor had his big 7 month photo shoot. . . his hair was in its full glory for the occasion!
Doll Baby!

Connor continues to eat more and more foods and does a nice job of usually eating a full jar each day at lunch :)  On Thursday he enjoyed some Green Beans!

Friday - After work, I took Maci to her "American Ninja Warrior" camp which was also termed parent survival night :)  Halston, Jacey and I dropped off our Harper, Natalie and Maci at 530p for 3 hours of fun at lil gym full of play and snacks.  This was $30 well spent.  We were then off to dinner and some good shopping at Nordstrom Rack and JCrew.  Love a little alone time.  Clint enjoyed catching up on TV shows at home with his quiet dude.  We all met back up at home in time for kiddo bedtime and some R&R.

Saturday - What a stormy summer day but the rain was much needed!  I had a 9a massage apt, ahhh!  Then once I was home we loaded up the kids for an Egg & I breakfast and then to the library to pick out books and a movie.  Maci actually stayed fairly quiet and this turned out a great rainy day option. We then spent the afternoon watching the movie while Connor and I took a cuddly nap - YAY!  I then hit the grocery before the Brubacher's came over for dinner and drinks!  What a fun rainy Saturday!

Sunday - A gorgeous and warm Summer Sunday!  We got lots of things done around the house and then loaded up to hit Maynard's for lunch followed by an afternoon at Lake Minnetonka / beach!  Maci had so much fun swimming, playing in the sand and meeting new friends.  While she was doing this, I laid on the towels with Connor who preferred to nap in the shade :)  A nice day was had by all and afterward we grabbed some frozen yogurt, ran a few errands.  Now we are finishing bath time, about to take our own adult showers (Sand is everywhere!) and then put kiddos to bed before chilling in front of the TV / planning my week schedule.
