House Stuff & Clint Travels

Another frantic winter week with little kids, busy job, home selling chaos and daddy out of town most of the week ooh and let's not forget 2 snow storms!

Monday - Clint and I enjoyed our President's Day holiday off of work.  We started the day by dropping off the kiddos and heading to the foxtail house for the inspection.  We were there for 3 hours (just a titch bigger than our Cedar Lake house haha) - fortunately only some leaking pipes to be addressed and the rest of the inspection went through with flying colors.  Clint and I then enjoyed some lunch sans kids, finalized our lender and home insurance decisions for the new house.  We ended our day with an agent showing at 615p.
Tuesday - 2 more showings at night

Wednesday - Clint heads to New Orleans early in the morning.  Another agent preview during the day and kiddos/I do dinner/bath/bed routine.

Thursday - Another showing during the day, Clint still in New Orleans and snow storm moving in at night.  Oh and a night call which let me head to bed at 1030p after a 7a work start time.  Sorry if you are sensing the tone but this week kicked my rear!

Friday - The Scramble!  A showing at 230p and 5 inches of snow.  Realtor came and shoveled our walkway.  Clint ordered a company to plow the driveway and fortunately they did it at 1230.  I was so busy at work that I finally stopped paying attention to the showing app.  At 515p our realtor called to say the couple LOVED our house and were asking for some disclosure papers (no worries on that end our house is clean).  They then scheduled a second showing for Saturday - we have everything crossed because so much activity in the 1 week we have been on the market but no offer yet.

Saturday - The day I thought I may run away from my kids.  Clint is still out of town, due back later in the day.  We have the 2nd showing and really want to be done with selling this house!  As we are getting ready for dance one of those sweet angels knocked Maci's closet off the track and now it looks completely broken.  We are now running late for dance, they are fighting over who did it, I cant get it fixed and tears of utter frustration begin.  Thankfully our realtor is on top of it - we head to dance, he comes over and fixes it.  We finish dance, the showing occurs, Clint gets home and then NOTHING.  We don't know if they are sleeping on it, fell out of love - NO CLUE!  Our realtor plans to call their realtor 1st thing in the morning - indecisive buyers are on my last nerve.  We have a lazy day around the house with no additional showings as I think many are scared away by the 2nd snow storm rolling in (YES ANOTHER 5 to 8 Inches!)  Maci goes to her pal Audra's 5th birthday party and I fall asleep early completely defeated, annoyed and done parenting!

Sunday - Woke up more positive and attempting to remember to worry about what I can control and let go of the rest!  Clint cleans the driveway and still no word from the 2nd showing but now another showing request for 1230p today.  We are in the process of tidying at our house and attempting to remember that it will happen just likely not the way I would plan it!  I keep myself busy with laundry,  errands and binge worthy TV.  We continue to say prayers and keep our fingers crossed.  At least the snow is pretty and provides an energy release for our kiddos who aren't allowed to make any messes inside!  I need to keep finding the silver lining as this will all be behind us soon and we are extremely blessed to have 2 homes that we love right now!

We hope for a far more peaceful and calm week ahead - at least no one is traveling!
Lots of Love,

Valentine's Day & Officially on the MLS!

Last Sunday's Play Date @ Tanyn's
What a blur of a week!  I was still feeling exhausted in the evenings.  We had Valentine's Day fun and snack on Wednesday.  The house officially hit the market on Thursday.  That led to a home showing Thursday night, happy hour with some co-workers the same night and then a Friday night filled with cleaning and blinds scrubbing before a weekend filled with open houses.  We are feeling spent!
I-Pad Games with Khloe @ School
Maci with Her Valentine's Day Unicorn Mailbox
Cold Ridden, Wrinkled Mommy @ Valentine's Snack!
Sunny Snow Fun
Shaving Cream Fun on PJ Day
Miss Kim is Back Most Mornings!!!  YAY!!
Friday - Normal days at work and school followed by Shiatsu massage for me at 630p.  Clint kindly started on washing the blinds while I was away and we finished cleaning when I got home.

Saturday - Lots of cleaning again in prep for the 1st open house from 10a-1p.  We headed out to Maci's dance class, ran lots of errands and drove by the house on Foxtail.  Our realtor said there were 4 couples and 1 single mom who came through as well as some other "nosey neighbors."  We rested around the house in the early afternoon but then had a showing at 615p.  We took the kids out for dinner to be away for the showing.  Fingers crossed offers start soon.

Sunday - Another weekend day and another open house.  This time it was from 12-3p to accommodate the after church crews.  We headed to the zoo and then a late lunch in order to avoid the house.  We heard today's open house was a bit slower with only 2 real groups coming through.  We also heard that the showing last night liked the house but with the husband being 6'7 the basement ceilings would be a tad too low.  We just need to hit the lucky jackpot with one of these couples!  Clint is now out getting his haircut and I am enjoying some tv.  The kids are finally getting to play with toys again as I have had to keep the house in pristine condition.  Clint and I have the day off tomorrow (such a nice random day each year!) and after taking the kids to school, we will be headed over to foxtail for the inspection.
Snack Break @ the MN Zoo

Please say some prayers for a quick sale on Cedar Lake, clean Inspection on Foxtail and event free week with Clint heading out of town on Wednesday and not returning until Saturday night!  I sure hope these kiddos behave for their momma as we likely will spend our evenings driving around due to other showings - this will all be past us soon enough! :)

BUSY WEEK - Home Movement & Kellie's Flu!

This week had so many highs and lows that is hard to recall them all for this week's blog. . .

Monday - Super Bowl hangover for the city but oh so proud for how we showed up for the Nation!

Tuesday - Agreed with Clint and our realtor to go check out a home in Medina.  Clint has loved this house for a while and they dropped their price to be 25k under our top end desire.  Clint loves the house as it sits on an acre lot on a cul de sac street in a SWEET neighborhood built in the early 2000s.  I love it for its space, ceilings, lighting etc.  The current owners are an older couple being relocated out of the state and I cant wait to get my hands on the interior, mainly low cost items like paint/decor etc.  After thinking about it, we decided to put in a contingent offer at the asking price because we know it is competitively priced for the neighborhood but we will NOT carry two mortgages

Wednesday - Good news - the buyers and relocation company are open to an exception and taking a contingent offer.  We are set unless they get another offer in the meantime and then they can put a time table on us to sell our house (e.g. 5 days) so we are moving like no other on our house now.  Thankfully the contractor was also doing stuff at our house with Clint today to finish everything up.  Bad news - after work I started to feel like absolute crap!
Forgot to mention
Connor was home Wednesday b/c we thought he was attempting to puke in the morning and laid around
but then was fine in the afternoon. . . . GO AWAY BUGS!!

Thursday - Home stuff continues to progress in a positive light and I feel like I was hit by a dump truck.  Like there is no working from home, I am down for the count wondering when I will ever feel ok again.

Friday - Replay Thursday and add Maci went to Tanyn's birthday party for dinner.

Saturday - I showered!  That is about as much progress as I made in 2.5 days.  Maci had dance, our pilot got serviced and we had our first pre-market showing for our current Cedar home.  The people were here for over 1 hour so we are hoping that is a good sign.  Come evening time, Clint headed to the Fike's for Rosemary's 3rd birthday dinner with friends.  I still felt off enough that I didnt want to infect anyone.
Gena sent me this picture of the cutie peering up from their basement ;)
Sure Wish I could have been there with this crew - Miss You All!!
 Cuddle Time with Boomer

Sunday - Connor and I hung back while Clint and Maci did church/Sunday school.  Maci is about to head to a friend's house for a play date and we have another showing at 530p.  The people from yesterday saw 2 homes and they are weighing the pros/cons - we hope to hear more soon.  I plan to take another nap and get rid of this non sense as I am now drastically behind on work and life in general - the flu SUCKS!  At least I was already planning to work from home tomorrow for professional home photos to occur in the afternoon.

Please say some prayers for the health of our family as well as for a smooth buy/sell transition.  I hope to be back to myself next week and able to share far more details.

Lots of Love,

The Wiz, Natalie's Birthday & Super Bowl!

A quick week of work and school before another super fun weekend in the Twin Cities!
Silly School Fun for Connor!
 Costume Kim for Maci

Friday - After work, our friends Trip & Lori came over for pizza, beers and Old Fashions.  It was a wonderful evening of catching up with some of our favorite people!  We were a titch tired Saturday morning because of it but well worth it for the laughs!

Saturday - We started our day with a family run to YoYo donuts!  It is so fun to see all of our local hot spots getting highlighted on the big stage - Clint heard about Mike Golic and Trey Wingo eating YoYo donuts on air the other day from Super Bowl pre-game coverage and they couldn't stop raving - we agree!  Afterward, we drove by a few homes we have liked on the Internet (we will be getting serious come 1st of March EEK!).  We finally headed to dance and were actually on time :)  We spent our afternoon getting a lot of errands and household work complete - Maci's room is finally "showing" ready.  Come 415p, Maci and I were off to downtown (bad timing with Super Bowl craziness going on) to see The Wiz at the Children's theatre.  Maci LOVED it as I figured she would! It was such a fun early night out with my fav lil lady.
Perfect Timing - Showed up 5 mins before Go Time!
 Maci with her souvenir wand
So Close to the Super Bowl Weekend City Fun!
Proud of how awesome our downtown looked - Nice Work Twin Cities!

Sunday - Pancakes and sausage at home before Sunday school/church.  We went straight from church to Natalie's 5th Birthday Party at Park Tavern for some bowling, pizza and cake fun!
Connor Actually Won for his Lane of 4 HAHA

 Yum Cake Time!
 Just the Best of Friends!!
We are now settling in for the much awaited Super Bowl Event!  We hope all of you are able to enjoy and see some great images/hear stories of our awesome home away from home city!
