Valentine's Day & a Long Weekend!

Monday : 

• Clint was in Wichita with work and had cocktails with all my former finance people in the evening - I was getting all sorts of fun texts about being with the other 1/2 of the Mondell crew
• I hit the hay early as Monday's always exhaust me 

Tuesday : 

• Clint got home around kids bedtime and he helped put them down while I was getting a little bit of work done as this week started off a bit rough on that front

Wednesday : 

• I had another busy but much better day on the work front 
• Connor fell off a bike at school and while the picture looks rough he took it like a tropper and no tears, just mad he couldn't ride a bike any longer HA
• Clint picked up Connor and I picked up M in order to take her to religion class - she was so pumped to get her prize from the charity sock toss the week prior
• In between dropping her off and picking her back up, I had some good productive time at the local Starbucks

Thursday : 

• 100th Day of School for M!  I can't believe she is about to be a 2nd grader, I vividly remember 2nd grade, my teach etc :)
• I worked from home since I had a virtual conference to attend and it was easier to take from home - I worked fairly late in the office while Clint and Nate played some Golden Tee
• Clint sent flowers to work b/c he hadn't realized I would work from home when they were ordered so the front desk gals are taking good care of them until I can pick them up on Tuesday (I work from home on Fridays and we are off on Monday!) - the thought was what counted!!

 100th Day of School Fun!

Friday : 

• I worked from home again and got the house picked up while also getting a jump start on work things - we were able to launch our compensation conversations for the end of year rewards and I had a blast getting to share a few of those messages with my teammates already!!
• Maci and Connor were so excited to take their Valentine's into school!
• Connor had Fart Ninja Valentine's - Yes I thought I bought Ninja Valentine's only to get them home and realize they are "Fart" Ninja - what in the world?!
• Maci was so excited to open all the mail they had been delivering in her class throughout the week + Dad went to be a room helper at the class party from 815-930a - Maci was so pumped that he was there and that he was the only dad to help out - SO SWEET!
• We had Gymnastics in the evening followed my some Mexican food and a BOGO at Cherryberry with our little pack
• After kids went to bed we had a hot tub party with the Harty's and talked all about our upcoming Cabo trip
• I went to get out and help Tena get a water and another drink and as I got out, I bit it on the icy bricks - I recovered ok but as the weekend has gone on, I have gained quite a nice Blue/Green goose egg on my shin CLUTZ!

Connor Party Fun

Saturday : 

• I woke up feeling icky - tired, a little hungover, a titch of a head cold etc
• I got my coffee rolling and took M to her soccer practice - she is looking awesome!
• We all went to lunch together and then headed home for some lazy time, naps etc.
• Clint took Connor to Maple Maze to have a play date with his friend Brandon in the later afternoon
• I finally got moving and got a few things accomplished before getting ready for our date night
• Clint and I headed to COV for dinner (yum) then Caribou for a coffee and adult convo before heading to the movie theatre to see Knives Out - it was really good, we recommend!
• We got home after the movie around midnight and crashed!

Bedtime Sweetness 

Sunday : 

• The kiddos wanted donuts so that is what we had for breakfast and I started to hit the to do list after a fairly lazy Saturday 
• We got a lot accomplished and are feeling pretty well ready for our trip 
• Clint just took Connor to Ice Skating
• I just dropped M off at Audra's birthday party (daycare pal)
• I am about to hit the Peloton with my gal Nikki and then will pick M back up from her party
• It is so nice to know we have another "weekend" day with M, Clint and I all having the day off tomorrow - we need to continue some work week prep, a few random phone call needs tomorrow and pedicures to get our toes looking summer time ready!!!

We hope you all had a wonderful, hopefully long, weekend!  We all are getting excited for the Mondell's to arrive later this week and then head to warmer weather and some R&R.  Once we return, we will be hoping spring is just around the bend ;-)

Connor has Rootbeer!

Monday : 

• I signed up Maci for her summer program and fall after school care but more notable I signed Connor up for Greenwood's preschool and then crossed all my fingers!
• Right before I left work for the day we already got the email that he is in so Connor will get to go to Pre-K at Greenwood next year and have after school care with his sister!!!
• I came home and went right to my bed though b/c I had a horrible headache all day and was super tired - I guess too much Super Bowl Fun!

Tuesday : 

• Just a normal busy day

Wednesday : 

• Maci got to wear Neon and Sunglasses for part of her readathon at school 
• I left work to get M and take her to her religion class which was fun this night in honor of Catholic Schools week - we could donate up to 10 pairs of new socks for a homeless charity and M got to toss them into baskets to then win prizes
• While she was at religion I hung at Starbucks and made some phone calls
• I picked up M who won a prize! and then got her a late dinner before we all headed home for bed

Thursday : 

• Connor had soccer shots which he loves
• I left work around 430p to hit up my former co-worker Jess' going away happy hour - so great to see so many fun peeps even if I couldn't stay very long
• I got home and said good night to kids, caught up on Bravo TV while Clint had his buddies over for Golden Tee

Friday : 

• I worked from home
• M had hat day for her readathon and she wanted to wear a backward Bengals hat - yay!
• Clint came home a little early since he has to leave for work on Sunday - he took a nap and then left to get the kids to gymnastics for me 
• Clint and kids did gymnastics and pizza while I headed to wine night at my pal Gena's house
• Clint enjoyed a bonfire at the Harty's but after buying 4 bottles of wine and hanging out, I was ready to hit the hay once I got home around 10p

Saturday : 

• We dropped M at soccer at 10a and then drove around the Orono area to kill time
• Afterward we had a pretty lazy day at home which was lovely and so needed!!!!
• Around 430p we all got around and moving before taking M to Natalie's birthday party 
• While Maci enjoyed Natalie's pizza, craft and movie bday party at her house from 5-8p, Connor, Clint and I hit up River Inn for an amazingly lovely dinner!  Connor had such a blast being the only kid for the night and the owner gave Connor a rootbeer on the house while we were waiting.
• We got back just in time to get M and then drove by the old house for memories 
• Once home, we put kids to bed and then Clint and I enjoyed a hot tub dip before watching a really dumb movie (drinking buddies) on Hulu

Sunday : 

• Got up and moving around 830a for the day and just in time to do my weekly ride with Nikki on the Peloton at 9a - so nice to get that out of the way for the day!
• I wished my long friend Eric a happy birthday!
• We got stuff done around the house and off the to do list - Clint plowed the driveway as we got about 4 inches over night
• Around 12p we finished ordering groceries and Clint was off to the airport for a quick trip to Wichita - leaves today and back Tuesday 
• The kids had fun playing outside in the sun with the Harty's late this afternoon and that allowed me to finish my to do list and prep for the week ahead
• We just had dinner, Clint landed safely in Wichita, kids are about to have baths and then I am enjoying some wine and the Oscars in my bed YAY!!

Clint's Crazy Travel

Monday : 

• Busy day back at work and school for all of us
• Clint grabbed the kids from school and took them to a McDonalds play land while I ran home to drop off my work stuff then head to Kona Grill to meet some of my former Cargill peeps - Megan, Danny and Jason - so many good laughs and yummy apps

Tuesday : 

•  Clint left on the Cargill jet to Wichita in the morning and was expected to be back by dinner
• As I was driving home I got a text from Clint, they started to have smoke on the plane (not good) so they turned back around and took an emergency landing in Wichita - by 9p they decided they couldn't get them home so now he would have to fly home Wednesday morning.  That also meant we wouldn't all get to see him again until Saturday night because he was heading to DC Wednesday morning BOO!  That said, we were so glad he was safe!!

Wednesday : 

• Clint got home and then back out to DC safely while we were all at work/school
• After school, I grabbed the kids, headed to noodles for a quick dinner and then ran Maci to religion class.
• Connor and I hung at a local starbucks while he watched my phone and I got some work done

Thursday : 

• Another busy day at work!  This week was just flying by
• Connor had soccer shots during the day and continues to LOVE this added fun each week 
• Maci and I had a slumber party for the 2nd night in a row which both of us enjoy when dad is out of town 

Friday : 

• I worked from home per usual on a Friday
• I let all of us sleep in a bit b/c Maci had a 7 year wellness check up at 830a
• We ran Connor to daycare, hit up her apt and learned she is 3 inches taller than last year - a nice even 4 ft tall.  She is 50% height and 55% weight.  She rocked her check up and the Dr continues to note how strong she is!
• After dropping her at school, I did a quick Bruegger bagel run before cranking on my day at home
• Around 445p I left the house and got them both for gymnastics
• After gym, we grabbed some olive garden take out - enjoyed dinner at home and then crashed - it was a long and busy week for all of us!!!

Saturday : 

• Got up and started hitting a to do list ASAP
• We ran M to soccer at 10a then went to get gas and car wash before coming back and hanging out for the rest of her lesson
• Maci is getting really good at her scissor steps
• We got some lunch and headed back home for more errands/household stuff like laundry, Gidget's cage cleaning etc.
• Clint landed around 630p, picked up some dinner for me and him and took over in time for bedtime as momma needed a break!
• We got a few things off the to do list then enjoyed a cocktail, hot tub and basketball before hitting the hay!

Sunday : 

• Another day of hitting the long to do list - we are rocking it - impressed by how much I was able to get done this weekend and thanks to Clint for coming home and picking right up where I left off :)
• I rode Peloton at 1045a on a live ride.  My pal Nikki who I ride with Sundays was live in the NYC studio for her 500 ride and I teared up when I heard the instructor shout out her name!  I was able to PR and was in the top half of riders this time - I feel myself getting stronger!!
• The kids are outside playing and enjoying the 40 degree sunny weather.
• Clint is putting away groceries and watching pre-Super Bowl TV
• I am about to crank on some work so that after Connor's ice skating we can all head over to the Harty's across the street for a Super Bowl Party!!!  GO CHIEFS!!!!

We hope you all enjoyed a weekend with family and loved ones.  We are looking forward to a week with us all home.
