Mini Hops Gym Camp & Kellie's Promotion

Another one from last weekend's great time! 

Weekdays : 

• Mini Hops Camp
• Mini Hops was a big hit for both kids - they each got to go Mon-Thurs and then we kept them home with us on Friday
• Connor wishes he could stay the whole time but alas 4 year olds have a 1p pick up and he rolls with it pretty well since he gets to come home and basically watch tv while we finish our work days until time to pick up M
• Maci has learned a round off this week and Connor pulled himself up on the bar once - we call that a success!!
• School Year News
• We learned Maci got into the after school care on her go to school days - Mon and Wed
• She did not get into the care on her non school days - we were wanting Tues/Thurs
• Thankfully they still plan to have pre-k go all 5 days so Connor is set and I got Maci into Mini Hops care offering on Tues/Thurs where they will put them in pods basis age and school to first help with school work then do gymnastics the rest of the day
• Thankfully UHG brought back the care benefit so her $65/day at Mini Hops is covered through a work benefit!!!  Nice job UHG!
• One tricky week was the week of Labor Day since they pushed back the week of school.
• Maci got into Mini Hops Tues-Thurs of that week but b/c some schools are starting, they won't do 4 year olds - URGH!
• So that week will be Connor at our friend Gena's house (THANK YOU!) Tues and Thurs, Clint is taking off Wednesday and I am going to take a PTO day with both of them on the Friday 
• We are rolling with the punches but ready for some sort of routine even if a strange and not so normal set up
• Wednesday Night Fun!
• Wednesday evening I had a virtual happy hour with about 7 of my former NCR colleagues - these are people I worked with when I was 21 and 22 just getting out of college.  I haven't worked with many of them in almost 13 years but we picked up like old times.  Thanks to Facebook we have a decent feeling for what everyone is doing - we hope to do these more often so fun!!
• After I wrapped my happy hour, Clint hosted weekly golden tee and I headed up for some junk tv while the boys hung out
• Promotion
• As awkward as it is for me to share, I was promoted to Senior Director at work and it was shared on Friday while I was out at lunch with some former Cargill peeps
• I was getting so many sweet text, slack chat notes and emails
• It is so humbling but also super touching how many people took a moment to tell me well deserved and recognize my hard work and effort

1st day of Camp

Friday : 

• As noted above, I hit 6 smith for lunch with Pat and Brandon - finance leaders from my last gig at Cargill - so many good laughs and a nice long lunch outside on Lake Minnetonka - perfect way to start the weekend!!
• After work, Clint grabbed wings for our crew and then we streamed our nephew Drew's football game - big senior this year.  It was fun to get to watch him on TV since it will be tricky to see a game in person this year!

Saturday : 

• Started the morning with a walk before Connor and Clint headed to the barber for haircuts
• Connor looks so good and Maci said he looks like a u tuber - I think that is a compliment HA
• We then played some tennis at the park while the kids ran around the swings/slides - Such a gorgeous morning!
• Later in the early afternoon, Maci and I headed to get our nails done for the 2nd time this summer - she went with a hot pink and neon green every other nail (watermelon was her vision) and I went with a cool dark navy with sparkles - looks like the galaxy.
• Got some stuff done around the house, chilled on the deck with Tena and then had Casey's taco pizza for dinner before Clint headed to the basement for his fantasy football draft and I took the kids across the street for an evening swim.
• Kids showered, I watched some tv and then it was 9p and time to join the neighbors for a fire - Awesome late summer/early fall feeling evening!!

Sunday : 

• Productive morning!!!  Clint and I took a walk and then started hitting to dos around the house
• Cleaned kids closets and drawers in prep for new school clothes arriving for fall in the accurate sizes
• Made a good will run to drop said clothes
• Kids cleaned their rooms and play room
• Cleaned the guinea pig cage
• Ordered groceries
• Touched up paint around the house
• Cut the grass 
• We are now about to have a lovely afternoon at the Harty pool - work hard/play hard!

We have another week of mini hops camp ahead and then we are both taking Friday off to make it a 4 day holiday weekend!  We have tickets to the MN drive thru fair on Friday at 11a and we are already strategizing and asking those who have been for tips 💖

Missed a Week - Learned Fall School Stuff - Liz's Last Day + Annual Cabin Trip!!!

 Week of Aug 10th Highlights

• My buddy from Cargill Sidney, Jim Rethore and I had an epic video catch up
• Nash had his 3rd birthday and we grilled/enjoyed cake at the Harty's
• Friday - We went to the Markovich (Cargill pal) home as a family and enjoyed laughing with the adults and watching the kiddos play - Connor and Luke are pals and Maci adores Avery
• Saturday - Connor got stitches after falling off the hammock in the backyard and splitting his head - OUCH!  He was a champ and Maci felt awful for laughing at first - so much for a lazy day and then we played bags at night
• Sunday - a "we need a lazy day" so we did stuff around the house but then spent most of the day swimming with the Harty's, eating wings and calling it an early bed time

Week of Aug 17th Highlights

• Connor wrapped up flag football
• Maci wrapped up Ninja warrior class and I got to run into Katie from Cargill at the playground - fun!
• We learned Maci is in Hybrid group A which means she will go to school Mon and Wed - thankfully they are attempting to go Mon-Fri for Connor's pre-K at the school
• We also learned they pushed back the start of school until Sep 14th when we usually start Sep 7 (Tues after Labor Day) - so helpful for the working parents Urg, just keep pivoting!
• We signed up Maci for an option for care on Tues/Thurs with the school🤞and we have a back up option at her gymnastics camp but with a price point 💰🤣 so we will see but feels good to have potential viable options 
• Thursday was LIZ DAY!  It was her last day with us and well we adore Liz.  Thursday was all about her : lunch choice, games to play, gift, behaving ha etc.  It was sad to say goodbye but she has offered to babysit at night from time to time so YAY!
• Friday we headed off to annual cabin with the mommy/me friends!!!  The kids are huge and so good about playing together!  We stayed at a house on the water with a super shallow sandy beach WAHOO. We also rented a boat and had a dock at the beach so we spent our Friday/Saturday swimming, drinking, playing yard games and just having a good time with each other!!
• We got home late morning today and now are doing laundry and resting - a perfect Sunday with sun coming in the window 🌞💕

She was the BEST - We will miss having Liz Mon-Fri without fail 💗

Kids start their 2 week care option post Liz and pre-school tomorrow - mini hops gymnastics camp.  We hope for a safe, fun and enjoyable week for both of them!!  We hope you have a great week ahead too!

Aunt Meghan & Christian Visit!!

Monday :

• Nice quiet Monday!
• Connor had football and since Maci's summer soccer ended, we were all able to go and watch him - so cute!

Tuesday : 

• Way busier day for me!!
• We divided and conquered kids activities with Clint/Connor heading to the final soccer game, mom finishing some work and then all of us meeting up at Maci's ninja camp class at 715p.

Wednesday :

• Good minimal meeting day which helped me respond to 100+ questions about equity HA!
• Clint worked from the dealership as the Volvo got a 3M film put on the outside to protect the paint and scotch guard on the interior
• At night after dinner, we took a quick drive to my pal Jen's new roadside flower stand - check them out - so pretty!!!
• I headed to bed early with junk TV and Clint had neighborhood pals over for Golden Tee

Thursday : 

• Busy day and I was just exhausted come night time so early to bed with junk TV - getting ready for our weekend visitors!

Friday : 

• Fun day with Rhyann's work bridal shower from 3-5p to end my work day

• Got a few emails done and then headed to the airport around 6p to pick up Meghan and Christian - in from Cincy!
• We got back to our house around 8p to some very excited kiddos.
• We put them to bed and had cocktails around the fire pit out back - nice way to welcome them to MN

Saturday : 

• Got up and packed quickly for the day
• Headed to Peg's for a yummy big breakfast
• Then out to Lake Minnetonka for a day trip on a speed boat from 10a-2p
• We got lucky and even though overcast all morning, no rain while we were out there

• Came back to our house for some quiet time/aka adult naps HA
• Got up and got ready for dinner/drinks/sitter!
• Kaitlin watched the kiddos while the adults headed to 6 smith for AMAZING food and then Maynards for a few more cocktails 
• We got home around 1130p and the guys played Golden Tee while the ladies CRASHED hard HA

Sunday : 

• Lazy morning of eggs and goetta while watching The Office on the couch
• Around 11a we all got moving for our lunch at 5 8 club - Juicy Lucy's!
• It downpoured while we were eating but we were in a covered patio YAY!
• The rain then moved out and we spent the rest of the afternoon at Minnehaha Falls
• We did the hike to the mouth of the Mississippi, rode a huge bike thing for an hour and found an ice cream truck
• Around 4p we had to head to the airport to drop them off - such a fun but quick visit!
• We stopped at Target for an errand and then got home to do final Sunday night prep.  We are all pretty tired after a fun weekend so early bed times and lazy evening plans!
• Clint is picking up Taco Bell for dinner and then ready to crash!

We hope you had a nice weekend and a great week ahead!!  Nice low 80s degree weather for us and a low key upcoming weekend.
