  • Tuesday - Got our taxes done, wahoo HAHA and Maci soccer was cancelled b/c of heavy snow.  Both of us even worked from home to avoid the weather
  • Wednesday - Back to normal - I went into the office and Maci had soccer in the evening
We have been talking to Connor about trying to get no "yellows" at school
Yellow is a warning for when he is being a bit too goofy
His awesome teacher sent us this on a day that he was really working on staying Green!
  • Thursday - Finally had hot tub Thursday with the Harty's again after several weeks of having conflicts and what not :)
Maci made this for me and I told her I would hang it in my office, so Cute!
Friday :
  • Clint had a Dr apt to start the day, his annual thyroid/oncology check and all things came back with flying colors YAY!!!

  • Gorgeous Sunny Winter Day - High in the upper 30s!
  • We picked up Dunkin Donuts for breakfast and then I took a nap - love a lazy weekend morning!
  • Got up in time for the Peloton Tread delivery - wahoo!
  • While they were wrapping up, Connor's pal Chuck came over for a playdate in the afternoon.
  • Clint took them snowmobiling most of the visit.
  • After Chuck left around 430p, our family got ready to try out a new Italian spot - Primo - it was yummy but the kids weren't super thrilled and may not come back with us next time :)
Sunday :
  • Started the day with coffee and a walk in the gorgeous 30 degree temps - yes still cold but after our winter, it feels wonderful!
  • We met our pals the Brubacher's for brunch at Birchs on the Lake - the kids enjoyed pancakes and the adults enjoyed mimosas/bloody Mary's and yummy bites + great convo!
  • We headed home and Clint ran Maci to soccer practice
  • Connor woke from a nap and played with his neighbor pal Nash while I finished household to dos and laundry
  • Maci and Clint then went snowmobiling and now I am trying to figure out what's for dinner while Connor and Nash play in the basement and Clint runs on the tread.
We hope you all had a fab weekend and got some fresh air - we are counting down to our spring break in FL as well :)

Valentine's Day & President's Day Weekend

Weekdays :

  • Monday : Happy Valentine's Day!  I woke up in CA disappointed and sad.  I was off to the airport around 9a and thankfully had a super smooth and on time flight home.  I got home around 6p and the family picked me up from the airport.  Maci and Connor had awesome Valentine's Day parties at school and I was so thankful to be back home in my own bed.
  • Tuesday : I worked from home to get caught up.  We ordered Chipotle for diner, Take out Tuesday for the PTA.  Maci had her soccer clinic in the evening and I was early to bed as I was still catching up on sleep from the long weekend!
  • Wednesday : I went into the office to meet up with my boss before she headed to Mexico for a long weekend vacation.  Maci had soccer in the evening and Clint ran her while I watched Connor.  That evening the Harty's came over to hang out since they were heading to Kansas City for the kids holiday weekend and wouldn't be around on Thursday night.
  • Thursday : The kids didn't have school but we sent them to Wayzata Kids care while we worked from home.  We had someone from PCS come out to do a walk through for the windows.  Yes ,we are still waiting on our window replacements from a hail storm almost 2 years ago now!  We are hopeful they will be in by March/April!  In the evening we had both of their conferences virtually and both are doing great both on education front and social/friend front - go kiddos!  After conferences, Maci had a late haircut at 730p and it turned out so cute!
Friday :
  • No school again but this time we let the kids hang out at home since we have pretty low key Fridays
  • We both had pretty slow low key Fridays so I got a lot done with some laundry, planning for the next week ahead and what not
  • Clint ran Maci to gymnastics and we ordered Panda Express for dinner afterward.
  • Clint and I watched Deadpool as I had never seen that movie
  • We then put everyone to bed and called it an early evening
Saturday :
  • Clint and I both had our monthly massages in the morning
  • Afterward I was super lazy and took a long nap on the couch while Clint got a few things done around the house but also took a nap
  • We finally got up and running later in the afternoon and headed out on date night with our pals Ryan and Jacey Cassem
  • We had dinner at Birch's on the lake and around 1030p we finally called it and headed home
  • The kids had a blast with their sitter and some temporary tattoos
Sunday :
  • We slept in and then got up to check out the new Dunkin Donuts in our area
  • Afterward we got the usual weekend to dos done with grocery ordering, cleaning up the house etc
  • Clint and I then took an awesome walk in the sunshine and 40 degree temps!!!  YAY what a great tease!!
  • Maci is now at her Sunday soccer practice with Clint and Connor is playing in his room as I get my remaining weekend tasks wrapped up.  I finally got the kids birthday books ordered of pictures for the year,  I'm looking forward to working on a puzzle or reading a good book to wrap up my weekend afternoon.
We hope you all had a great weekend and are rocking right through winter!

LA Super Bowl LVI Fun - Even if we didn't Win!

Weekdays :

  • Monday - I had my annual physical at the end of the day.  I was brave through my blood draw and all tests/vitals look good.  Ran to Target with Maci in the evening to pick up a prescription.
  • Tuesday - Maci had her skills camp for soccer in the evening
  • Wednesday - Maci had her soccer practice at 6p
  • Thursday - I wrapped my day with a virtual happy hour with Lori (my former HR leader).  I then did all my LA packing before hosting the Harty's for drinks while watching the NFL honors.  Yay Chase for Offensive Rookie of the Year and Burrow for Come Back Player of the Year!!
Friday :
  • After the bus took the kids, Clint and I were off to get some bagels and then drop me at the airport
    • Maci got to have a field trip to a snow tubing hill for the day!!
  • My flight was on time to Orange County, I took an Uber to LA to meet up with my mom and Molly
  • We hung out in Burbank for a bit while I ate some late lunch and then we were off to Hollywood (gross! HA)
  • After walking the Hollywood strip a bit, we stopped for beers
  • We then took an Uber back to Burbank to eat dinner, grab some candy and hang out until Christian and Meghan made it into town

Saturday :
  • Up and at 'em around 6a - dang time zone changes and my inability to sleep in hotels!
  • I hung out in the breakfast area of the hotel until everyone was up and at 'em
  • Then we were off to our 2nd hotel
  • After getting settled in the hotel, we were off to the NFL experience in downtown LA
  • We enjoyed that for a few hours and then were trying to find a place for some drinks but we somehow got turned around in downtown and got in a rough area so hopped on the train and headed to Santa Monica
  • We enjoyed food/drinks on the pier, took pics and then found a fun bar to crash at with a juke box for the rest of the night.
  • Finally we found an Uber back to our hotel and crashed for the night!

Sunday :
  • The big game day!  We all woke up anxious!
  • Around 9a, we started our journey to the Super Bowl and SoFi Stadium
  • We took a long but cheap/smooth trip on the light rail to a free shuttle that got us to the stadium
  • We were there around 11a and headed to the casino to meet some of Christian's friends for drinks/food
  • They headed into the stadium around 1p and we (mom, Molly and I) were off to our VIP tent - it was a little nerve wracking finding it but once we got there, it was all good to go!
  • We met some great Bengals fans, did a ton of cheering, loved the HalfTime and were super pumped right up until about the last 4 mins of the game :(
  • Clint and the kids joined our neighbors (Zac & Cari Herness) at their house for a neighborhood super bowl party - so many of them borrowed my Bengal gear for the occasion - I felt loved!!
  • It was a sad ending for sure but thankfully we found an Uber, got the hell out of the 'hood and crashed for the night!  We will get them next time!!!!
We hope you enjoyed the Bengals run and we are super excited for next year!
Lots of Love,
