Maci Sickness & Warmer Temps & Top Golf Fun!

Cutie Pie Academy 2 Teammates Playing Up for last Sunday's 9v9 Scrimmage

Weekdays:

  • Monday - Clint had to go into the office for a new hire on his team.  I worked from home b/c Rosie had a grooming appointment and rescheduling those is a nightmare and she gets shaved in that case HA!  Her grooming looked great and she was happy to see me pick her up!  Maci then had Gymnastics in the evening.
  • Tuesday - Clint went into the office again and I went in for my first two meetings before heading to Greenwood to listen to Connor's class read.  I then worked from home the rest of the day and had a quiet night at home.
  • Wednesday - I had a normal day at the office but started getting a text from Maci about not feeling well half way through the morning.  She ended up going to the nurse with a headache, fever, sore throat and upset tummy.  The nurse called us and Clint took the turn this go around.  She napped and barely ate dinner/slept through the night.  I had a video call with my best gals from High School in the evening while Maci zonked.
  • Thursday - I worked from home to stay with Maci who still wasn't feeling great.  She was breaking her fever and kept zonking on me but by dinner time she started to feel a bit better.  We were able to have a quiet night at home since she couldn't go to soccer practice.  Clint got to have a happy hour with some of his former co-workers which was fun for him.
Got off a work call, came out of the office to check on her and found this napping beauty!
Friday
  • Clint and I both worked from home - we couldn't tell if we were just tired or getting some of Maci's ick!  Thankfully as the weekend went on I think we were just tired!
  • I got a lot done on the work front and around lunch ran out to get my license renewed - thank goodness it was such an easy process and nice to get out in the warmer (40s) temps and sunshine!
  • I grabbed some lunch and headed home to wrap the day.
  • Clint picked up Punch Pizza and Salad for dinner, we watched some basketball and called it a night.
Saturday -
  • Nice lazy day!!
  • We got some bagels for breakfast, drove the more scenic route to and from and once back home, took a nice long nap.
  • Clint ran Maci to her soccer practice and while that was going on, Billy, Grady, Clint and Connor went to LifeTime Fitness to climb the rock wall and play basketball.
  • I went to pick up M from practice at 215p and then enjoyed catching up on my shows in bed - LOVE a good lazy day!
  • Around 5p I got up and getting ready for date night!
  • We went to Sunshine Factory with the Harty's for dinner and then headed to Top Golf for some drinks and fun!
  • While at Top Golf we kept the high school basketball championship on and got to watch Wayzata win the whole thing!!!  Yay, I told Connor I hope to see him in that game one day :)
Doing Fun Hair Tricks with Tena after Soccer Practice
Sunday
  • Get stuff done day! HA after lazy day, go figure!
  • We slept in but then headed to Blvd for brunch and then over to Dicks to get the kids new gym shoes and Connor some new cleats for Football and Baseball - can't wait for warm weather and outdoor sports!
  • Once home, Clint took down the Christmas lights, finally warm enough!  He also put away the snow mobile for the season.  I worked on laundry, plans for our upcoming Denver trip, groceries, week planning etc.
  • Now we are enjoying the final basketball for the weekend and getting ready for dinner to arrive - Sushi!!!  We are soaking in these last few hours of sunshine before we get into some colder temps again this week - UGH GO AWAY WINTER!!!

St Paddy's Day, Date Night/Sleep Over & Soccer Scrimmage

Weekdays:

  • Monday - I had a team onsite of meetings all day so Clint took Maci to gymnastics while I headed to bowling and appetizers with my team at the end of the day.
  • Tuesday - Maci had an ortho check up and got her braces tightened.  We also learned they want to pull 2 teeth that aren't falling on their own quick enough - poor girl has my mouth.  At night, Maci had her annual spring soccer evaluation with her coach Maggie.  Things continue to go well with her growth and she was asked to practice in a 9v9 scrimmage this coming Sunday with the Academy 1 team (She is on Academy 2).  She is really starting to settle into her midfielder position and is why they asked her to play up as they start to think about next year as they move to a 9v9 format at U11.  Go Maci!!
  • Wednesday - Connor had religion in the evening and was not feeling it but letting him know he goes into a 3 week Easter/spring break after this week got him to go without complaint.
  • Thursday - I had some a follow up facial apt for my forehead.  Maci had soccer practice at 7p and I crashed early - the dang time change was bugging me all week long!!!
Pretty Girl!
Friday :
  • I had a few meetings in the morning and got some work done around the house.
  • Clint came home around 2p and the kids quickly followed with a 230 arrival from the bus.
  • I was then off by 3p for St Paddys Happy Hour with my co-worker and pal Nicole.  We enjoyed some beers and a Bloody Mary before we called it around 6p.
  • I came home and helped Clint run up to an AT&T to pick up his new phone and then we were off to Sunshine Factory for dinner.
  • At Dinner Connor was so excited that they made him a Green Sprite :) We also watched the big Purdue upset live!
Green Sprite
Saturday :
  • I started the day with a massage - so nice!
  • Clint and Connor went and got haircuts together.
  • At 1130 Steph, a candidate for our summer nanny posting, came over to. meet us for a 2nd interview.  She was so great that we offered her the job on the spot and she accepted!!!  Such a relief to have this finalized for summer!
  • Clint then ran Maci to soccer practice and afterward I did some stuff around the house and tried to take a nap.
  • Maci got herself ready for the slumber party at her pal Rowan's and Clint dropped her off at 430p
  • I got up from a nap and then got ready for our date night with the mommy & me friends.
  • Connor was so excited to get Maddie, our sitter, to himself for the night and they played many rounds of Connect Four!
  • The Adults enjoyed cocktails in the North Loop and then headed to the new Four Seasons Hotel for their new hot restaurant Mara.  The food was good but the company was even better.  We were then home by 11p
Maci LOVED Rowan's New Puppy Tillie

Wonderful Friends!!
Sunday :
  • Maci got dropped back off at 1015a
  • We ordered some brunch via Door Dash for a later breakfast
  • Connor's buddy Grady came over to play at 1p
  • We are heading to Maci's soccer scrimmage with the Academy 1 team vs 2012 Navy 1 girls (a year older than our gals) at 4p and will drop Grady on our way.
  • Then we will have a celebratory dinner for M out afterward.
We are so over the snow and cold so are super excited to see 40s and 50s in the forecast - COME ON SPRING!!  We hope you are starting to get some warmer weather or at least sneaking away to a beach.
Lots of Love,

All the days blur together and it was complete joy, fun and relaxation!!  Here is a huge photo dump of our week in paradise and sunshine!!!  The kids did great with Aunt Molly and we are forever grateful!  We made it home smoothly on Friday night, in bed by 10p.  Molly headed out on Saturday evening while Maci had a birthday party.  Today, Sunday, was a day of household to dos and catching up on life back in snowy MN!  We had a blast!!!
