Countdown to Spring Break has Started!!!

Weekdays:
  • Monday - Rosie got her grooming and looks lovely!  Maci had her soccer training and game face conditioning in the evening.  She was the only one that signed up for Monday this week so it was 1:1 which she loves!  We are so different on that, as a kid I would have hated to be 1:1 with an adult but she loves the specialized attention, feedback etc.  While we were there, I had a really nice chat with the new girls director.  It is so humbling but smile inducing when these adults share how impressed they are by our child.  Not only her talents and work ethic but her attitude, smile and just awesome teammate behaviors!  She sure is a special gal and we are blessed she is ours :)
  • Tuesday -  Maci had training in the evening with her fav instructor Ashley.
Won his first battle royal in Fortnight
I have 0 clue what that means but happy for him :)
  • Wednesday - I decided to work from home from this day onward.  My boss was on her spring break in Costa Rica and my main business leader that I support was in Germany on his spring break so easier to have 0 commute.  We also had no evening kid activities - wahoo!!!  I had a catch up with my bestie Christie which was super fun and much needed!
I sent Clint this pic and said, your dog is strange! HA
  • Thursday - Working from home again so I can have the NCAA on in the background.  Love this time of year!  We went to the Wayzata boys basketball semi final state championship game that night.  They crushed the Creighton Durham Raiders!  Such a fun game!  We then left and it was snowing like crazy - yes, snow!  We didn't have it all winter and now snow :(
This kid loves basketball, a hot dog and a coke
Friday
  • Another fun day of NCAA on in the background while working
  • I headed out to meet my gal pal Nicole around 430p for happy hour and beers over basketball
  • While I was gone, Clint ran Connor to and from his pal Leo's birthday party at Dave n Busters
  • I got home around 9p, watched some more basketball with the family and then passed out on the couch after a long week.
Saturday :
  • Started the day with a massage at 9a - lovely!
  • I then ran a basket of clothes to a consignment store - they only bought a few things and I made $19 - may not have been worth my time.
  • However, while I was waiting on them to sort, I called my parents and wandered around Hobby Lobby which was a nice little Saturday morning.
  • I then ran to pick up Maci from gymnastics at 1130a
  • We ran by Goodwill to donate all the items the consignment shop didn't purchase.
  • We picked up some quick lunch and then Maci was off to soccer practice at 1p.
  • I took a super nice long Saturday nap!
  • We got some stuff done around the house and then it was time to head to the Wayzata state championship game.
  • We ate at Oak Eatery first.  Then we got to the game and sat with a lot of our friends.
  • Unfortunately, Wayzata did not look like themselves from the start of the game.  They kept it close throughout but could never quite overcome their "off-ness" and they lost the state title after only have 1 loss before this the entire year and having beat this team 2x already.
  • Connor balled on the way to the car, he was so distraught for his team, the seniors and especially his "idol" Jackson McAndrew - our stud 6'9" senior that is heading to Creighton next year.
  • We got home and watched Creighton pull off the W in your 2nd OT and then finally headed to bed at midnight.
Connor wanted the W so bad, poor buddy!
Sunday :
  • We all slept in until almost 930a - lovely after staying up so late the night before!
  • Ugh snowmagedon is upon us!  Thankfully it doesn't seem to be sticking to the roads but we will see what it does overnight.
  • Fortunately, it is great weather for a day at home watching basketball and getting things done!
  • Maci was supposed to have a soccer scrimmage at 7p but this got cancelled in prep for the impending weather.
  • We enjoyed basketball all day and Maci played in the snow for a bit after baking.
  • Connor was off to the Timberwolves game at 430p with his buddy Grady and their family.  Poor guy fell asleep in their car on the way down to the game.  Fortunately he can usually rally after a car nap so hopefully he is having a blast right now and can get to bed at a decent time even after having the game.

We are excited for the snow to melt, week to fly by and then a trip to the Bahamas with our dear friends for Spring Break starting this weekend!!

LA Visit & NCAA Dancing Time!!

Weekdays:

  • Monday - Happy Birthday to our neighbor Tena!  Maci had her training and game face but game face strength training got cancelled b/c the trainer couldn't come last minute.  I took her home and then started packing early for LA.
  • Tuesday - Clint ran me to the airport after the kids got on the bus.  This is probably the closest I have ever cut it and boarded with Zone 2 even though I was Zone 1 but that is where we were by the time I got to the gate :)  It was a smooth, easy flight to LA, thank goodness!  We went straight to the office and got to work.  We then had dinner/drinks at the office to connect.  While I was doing that, Maci had a quick soccer training before Clint and the kids went to the tournament game for Wayzata who spanked Hopkins to move on in the tournament.  Dang are we having fun watching these high school basketball games!  I was jealous to miss!!
Connor goes all out with the Wayzata Trojan gear!
Maci goes no where without her cross body bag :)
  • Wednesday - Full day of offsite meetings for me.  Clint ran Connor to and from religion for the evening.  I went to a Pakistan restaurant in Englewood, not my fav but good company.  We then hung at the hotel bar for a few drinks before calling it for the night.
  • Thursday - I attended and spoke at a women in tech event before flying to the airport for our noon flight out of LA.  That flight had a way bumpier climb and had my blood pressure on high for the first 30-45 mins.  It finally smoothed out and I was able to get some work done.  On the Uber ride home, I listened to the PTA meeting with the Middle School principal.  While I did that, Clint had ran Maci to her soccer practice and then was chilling at the house while Connor, Grady and Anders played video games upstairs.  Kari kindly drove Maci home from Soccer.  I ordered some Chick Fil A, ate, showered and went to bed by 8p.  Why is it so hard to sleep when traveling?!
Friday:
  • Got a good night sleep!
  • After kids left, we did our bagel run
  • I had a few morning calls but then was able to really attack the to do list and get caught back up
  • Clint ran Maci over to Charley's for her slumber party/birthday party at 5p.  The girls got to go to Mall of America with Charley's mom - lucky gals!
  • Then Clint, Connor and I ran up to Holy Name for our church's fish fry.  We ran into the Kratz family and ate with them while the kids played on the playground outside.  Nice community night!
  • Then Clint, Connor and I were off to Dick's Sporting Goods for their 20% off weekend to get Connor new Football and Baseball Cleats, Batting & Receiving Gloves, Bat & Mouth Guard.  Connor is all about the "fly" gear and standing out!  He wants to "make a statement."  This kid cracks us up.
Illusion Museum - How cool?!
Maci, Violet and Charley play soccer together and are such sweet pals!

Saturday:
  • Clint and Connor headed off for haircuts at 920a.
  • Shortly after them, I was off to pick up Maci from her sleep over and run her to Gymnastics
  • I got things done around the house while Maci was at gymnastics and then Clint ran her to soccer practice at 1p.
  • While she was at soccer, I laid down for a bit but really just caught up on my shoes and some reading.
  • Connor played with his buddies Grady and Anders on and off all through the day.
  • We ordered some Northern Tap House for dinner
  • Clint and I were then laying in bed with beers and basketball by 8p :)  We even text with some old friends during the game, just cozy and chilling - enjoying the company, beers and basketball!
Proof of life request from my pal Sully - he was not sleeping, just comfy
Sunday:
  • Happy St Patty's Day!
  • Lazy morning - we all slept in until Maci was almost late for her 10a soccer practice - Ahh we all loved the sleep!
  • Maci had a great practice and after she got home we were all commenting on how strong her legs look - she started flexing for us and I swear I am blown away by the tone on this kid :)
  • I got stuff done around the house, Clint helped take down the ice skating rink across the street and we watched a ton of basketball.
  • We are excited for March Madness to really launch later this week!  I plan to work from home with Clint both Thursday and Friday just so I have it on in the background all day!  😁
She really is the cutest damn dog!

Avoiding Jury Duty, fun with friends & prepping for LA!

Weekdays:

The Sun is shining so much lately and the temps are mild - Dang we are loving this weather!!!

  • Monday - Clint was due up for jury duty.  He did have to go in but was sent home midday to await more info if his number was called.  Maci had training from 5-6p.  I ran her home and then Clint and I tuned into the annual Foxberry Farms HOA meeting.  We always have some good laughs with the concerns of certain neighbors.  This year was all about converting a tennis court into a pickle ball court HA
Every day sight when they leave to school on the bus
She lays there with her head on the arm of the couch just waiting
  • Tuesday - Clint had to go down to the court house again but again didn't have to stay long so our fingers were crossed b/c it was going to be a murder trial.  Maci had her training and game face conditioning at night so I hung there to pick her up.

  • Wednesday - Clint did not have to head down today, we keep crossing our fingers.  Connor had his religion class at night and Clint had to drive the kids both ways.
  • Thursday - Clint got great news, found out he was not selected to be on this jury!!!  Wahoo!  I took a call with our financial advisor to exercise some restricted stock.  I was supposed to have a happy hour but the colleague ended up not being able to make it.  That was fine b/c my neck and head were hurting.  It has been fairly stressful at work as of late so I was ready to chill.  Clint ran Maci to and from soccer practice at 530p
Clint sent me this pic at work
She is watching squirrels but dang isnt she pretty?!
Friday:
  • This was an at home learning day for the kids, AKA a free day off from school.
  • I got a lot of good work accomplished with a few meetings smattered in.
  • Maci hung out with her friends most of the afternoon and Connor jumped on the trampoline with his pal Grady.
  • We ordered in Pizza for dinner and I was climbing in to bed to watch some junk TV while Clint watched basketball in the evening.
Saturday:
  • Started the day with a 1st communion retreat with Connor, my turn since Clint did reconciliation.  We practiced receiving non blessed bread and wine, learned about how the process will go and then made our communion pew banner for Connor and made a rosary too.  We were out of there in about 1 hour 30 mins and then were off to the bagel shop.  Nice to have some time on a sunny morning with my buddy and me.
  • While we were there, Clint ran Maci to and from gymnastics lessons.
  • Maci then had soccer practice at 1p which Clint also did the running for.
  • I was really tired from the week and took a nice long nap that afternoon!
  • I got up around 4p and Clint was talking to his buddy Billy.  I got to catch up too before getting ready for our night out.
  • The sitter arrived at 6p and we were off to Puttery with our pals Jacey/Ryan & Gena/Vinny.
  • The food was great and the putt putt was fun until the drinks started hitting and we all sucked HA!
  • We headed home and relieved the sitter by about 11p and then crashed thanks to Spring Forward time!

I believe I won, not sure how, likely lots of cheating HA
Sunday:
  • We all slept until about 9a
  • Connor got up and started playing with Grady right away
  • Maci got ready for her 10a practice
  • I ran to pick her up from practice and participate in a parent meeting preparing for the spring season - so close to being outside!
  • Once home, we did all the typical weekend things - order groceries, run laundry, Clint touched up some paint and is taking down Christmas lights while I get ready to clean my shoe area of the closet.  Maci is baking cookies, surprise and Connor is still hanging with his buddy Grady.
  • We are all moving a little slow today and I love a weekend like that!  Getting a few things done but also letting it come as it may :)
I head to LA for a chunk of this week (Tues-Thurs) and Clint + kids are lucky enough to head to the Wayzata semi final basketball game Tuesday night at the high school - I really will miss not being there!  I hope to hear all about a W so we can head downtown for the state tourney shortly!

Lots of Love,

Great Weather, Senior Night B-ball & Soccer Tournament!

Weekdays:

  • Monday - Clint had our tax meeting in the morning.  Love our tax guy, we partnered closely with him and our financial advisor all year and we owed the least amount we have in a while and that was post exercising some equity this year!!  That evening Maci had her training and GameFace conditioning.
  • Tuesday - Clint had his annual cancer check and all looked good!  Then I was able to pick up Maci from her training at 6p b/c the bowling event I was supposed to have with work got cancelled due to the security issue focus.  I talked briefly with coach Ashley on the way out.  Ashley is the top team coach and she was a college goalie.  She pulled me aside to say Maci's ball striking hasnt gotten so strong.  Maci must have shot on her and hit her thigh, she swore it was going to bruise - she was so proud!  HAHA - Soccer coaches are funny :)
  • Wednesday - I had a hair appointment at 4p and they did a nice job!  I had different girls b/c I moved this appointment when I was going to be going to India the week of March 4th at one time, when my original appointment was booked.  While I was gone, Connor had his religion class.  Clint drove to and our neighbor brought the kids home.
  • Thursday - Maci had practice at 530p and Clint was able to run her there and then I parked and waited for her.  I was able to chat with my pal Kristi in the parking lot and we enjoyed having the windows down with temps in the 60s!
I like to think she is hugging him
However, history would say she is attacking him b/c he beat her up the stairs
Caught red handed

Friday:
  • My annual bonus paid today - wahoo!  Just in time for the upcoming spring break trip ;-)
  • Clint and I started our day with bagels and then had productive days working at home.
  • That evening, we went to ChickFilA for a quick dinner and then to Wayzata for the boys senior night basketball game.
  • Jackson McAndrew is a senior that is 6'9" and is committed to Creighton next year.  He is so damn good and honestly the whole team is - they are the defending state champs!  They were able to put up over 100 on Minnetonka.
  • We got some high fives before heading home.
  • On the way home, I realized Tom Sandoval (from Vanderpump Rules) was coming to Medina Ballroom right by my house.  I got so excited and got some girlfriend to order tickets!  It is on a random Wednesday night in April but we are so excited!
  • This got me so excited that I got a 2nd wind and was ready to have some beers around the fire with the neighbors.  It was such a gorgeous night, another day of 60s!  We had the Hartys, Kavanaughs, & Ben Jonas join along with Clint and me.
  • We called it around 1130p so we could watch a little Law & Order SVU before bed.
We watched the game with our friends the Kratz's
Harper is Maci's age and a good friend & her brother Colton is Connor's age and his buddy
We all live in Foxberry Farms - We Love our 'Hood!
Jackson McAndrew Giving Out High Fives Post Game
Maci was blushing after getting one :)
I didn't get a good pic of Connor but he said he is never washing that hand HAHA!
Saturday:
  • This was my get everything done day b/c Maci had a potential all day soccer tournament on Sunday.  I got up and started on laundry and the to do list right away.
  • Clint ran Maci to and from gymnastics from 1000-1130a.  Then he ran her again at 1p to soccer practice.  I mainly did things around the house and enjoyed the sunshine outside.
  • Connor played outside with buddies on the trampoline and shooting hoops.
  • Maci rode over to her pals house for a few hours too
  • At 430p everyone came home and we were off to River Inn to enjoy some good food and the wait in the warm weather.
  • The wait got a little excessive this time - almost 2 hours.  However, the food was good and we were still home by 8p.
The many ways we pass the time waiting at River Inn
Sunday:
  • Maci and I woke up to a 530a alarm - OUCH!
  • We were out of the house by 6a and on our way to Blaine (35 min drive) for a soccer tournament.
  • This was another 5v5 Tournament and we had 8 of our team's gals with us.
  • I was the coach again with Kim Kuhn (Violet's mom) as my helper again
  • The girls woke up well even though the dome was FREEZING?!  It was warmer outside, so strange!
  • Game 1 - we had a great 4-2 W - Maci had a KILLER GOAL!  And she had an amazing assist - you do kick ins for this 5 v 5 tournament and she saw Violet open so she popped it up right to Vi and she finished - so cool!!
  • Game 2 - tough L to a top Rush team.  They are not used to being scored on and when Maci had another KILLER goal, they were scared!  We were down only 3-2 at Half BUT we didnt have a keeper in this tournament which meant we kept having to take turns and pull girls off the field.  We ended up losing 7-2 but damn if we didnt fight!
  • Game 3 - Our girls were ready for revenge and I feel bad for the poor Force team that ran into us!  We beat them 14-0 - there was NO mercy!  We were able to ensure every girl got a goal.  Two of our players had a hat trick, Lucy with 4 and Madyn with 3.
  • We ended in 5th place, just missing being the 4th team in the semi finals by 3 goal differential.
  • All of us were ok with it, they played hard, were tired, the weather was great outside, it was only noon thanks to the early start time and we were starving!
  • Our whole team headed to Clives for a brunch!
  • We got home, Clint and I took naps, Maci showered and baked cookies/put away our groceries and Connor played outside enjoying the 70 degree temp!
  • The kids are now heading to bed, Clint is taking a dip in the hot tub and I am about ready to rest with some Law & Order SVU!
6a Ouch!
Love these girls!

Lunch Time!  Best of Buds!
The whole table plus the adults :)

We hope you all have a wonderful week ahead!
Lots of Love,
