Last Few Days of Leave

Maci and I have been having a nice past few days.  Even though I am mentally ready to go back to work and get back in the routine, I am somewhat surprised how sentimental and teary eyed I have been at times during the days.  The funny part is I tend to tear up when we are having a lot of fun, probably because I know someone else is going to get to enjoy those laughs with her very shortly.  So instead of crying, I am cherishing these last three days and thinking about how much fun I am going to have when I get her home each day.  Plus, I only have 2 days with some great co-workers and then it is the WEEKEND!!!!

Maci and I have had lunch dates the past two days and then errands in the afternoon just getting us ready for both parents back at work and Maci at "school."  Yesterday, two girlfriends from work came to our house on their lunch break.  It was great to see Lisa and Megan and Lisa was able to explain to me her transition and what helps to make it easier since she just went back to work 4 weeks ago after having Brody.  Then today, our friend Lori came over for some lunch and Maci loved her cuddle and giggle time with Lori.

I have been snapping the camera quite a bit during these past few days, trying to capture every smile.  Check out the fun we have been having!!  I need to catch a picture of Maci trying to eat her fist, that is her new favorite activity =)  Tomorrow is total Mommy & Maci day.  We have no plans but lots of play and cuddling before we lay out our clothes in preparation for the new routine.

Lots of Love,
C, K & M

HAHA Maci's Newest Thing is Loving her Blankets!  I think she was trying to tell me the sun was too bright in her Swing because she was cooing under the blankie!!!
**Note - I never leave her alone with loose blankets, so no safety concerns here ;-)
