Ever since we have been blessed with Maci in our lives, my first baby has really taken a back seat (oh and no that isnt Milo). I guess one could argue that Milo was my first baby but 1) he is a cat 2) he could careless about me and my desire to cuddle 3) he never really was the baby type and wouldnt play along in my dress up games. So Boomer, my first baby and boy did I baby this one, he was the puppy I couldnt wait to pick up at 6 weeks, he cried the whole way to our house since he was the first to leave the litter so we played Christmas carols in the car and it put him to sleep, he taught me what sleepless nights with a baby would be like with the constant beagle whining at night, we barely graduated puppy class together (more my fault than his), he gave me my 10 mins of fame by making it on the Shelby County calendar and he was the one I cried the most about missing (sorry Clint) when I lived in Minneapolis for a month before they got here. He sure has been a pest at times, especially with Maci and his constant jealous fits over attention, but his personality fits our family so well and he gives us lots of laughter. In the last few weeks I have seen a great bond starting to form between him and Maci (more through Maci's efforts & Boomer's pleasant surprise that everything she eats wont be in a bottle).
However, with all the attention we give to Maci, I thought it was only appropriate to at least dedicate one blog post to our buddy, Boomer on his Birthday!!! Here is to many more my friend, we may need to do something about your gray along with the extra pounds you are carrying around these days =)
Enjoy looking at some of our favorite memories with our Boomer thus far!
