Getting Ready on Halloween Morning
The Classroom of Costumes
Friday - We didn't have swim on Friday night because of Halloween. However, our good friends from swim decided to come to our house so the kiddies could trick or treat together. We ended up only doing the street behind us - it was cold and these kids are SLOW :) They are like dogs stopping at every decoration, leaf etc. However, they all had a blast watching stuff dropped into their buckets! After Trick or Treating - the parents had pizza. At kid bedtime, our friends left and Clint and I joined the neighbors behind us for their Halloween Party. We even played some beer pong and ate "brain" jello shots. We stayed out until about 1230a which proves to KILL US anymore since Miss M is a 7a waker no matter what :) It was all worth it though because we enjoyed one of our favorite holidays to the fullest!
Saturday - We did the usual gym and breakfast afterward. We then took nap time and mommy took full advantage of the sleepy time as well while Clint did all the backyard leaves - big job! After we were all up again we had to run some errands and one included checking out a Pilot of Honda as we are hoping to buy in Nov/Dec. Well I fell in love with a 2012 Navy Honda Pilot with 20k miles, fully loaded and included a DVD player (not something we had really thought of but will be nice for the drives to OH). It was also priced well so while we were planning to look at this one, we took the opportunity to get everything taken care. They will be detailing the car and doing the full inspection on Monday as it is had just been turned in from a lease that day. However, assuming all continues ok, Clint will be finalizing the purchase of our "new" car on Wednesday. This also means I say goodbye to my 2006 Civic - first brand new car that I bought myself :( We will be trading in the "PUGGLE" Mobile as a part of the purchase. However, I am ready to have a roomier option for the long drives and to no longer worry about who is driving the Civic in snow. Yay for getting things done!
Sunday - Today is a day of errands, football and prepping for a week away. I leave tomorrow around 1p to Costa Rica for the Tax & Customs Latin America Regional team meeting. I tend to go 1x per year to each of our regions so it means minimal travel but enough to get out and see our great teams. I leave Monday afternoon and come home Friday at 430p. We will even do a team building activity where we climb a dormant volcano together - fun! It is a Maci/Daddy week which means I have to spend some time today getting everything organized :)
Well back to the Bengals game before I start doing work and packing. We hope everyone has a good week and I look forward to sharing Costa Rica stories/pictures next week.
Lots of Love,
C, K & M
