Christmas Eve Pre-Sledding Playground Fun w. Daddy
She Looks So Grown Up!
My Family!
My Crazy Girl!
What a busy, hectic, crazy and FUN long weekend in Ohio! Before heading off for our 2nd part of the holiday fun - we had two fairly quiet days at work and daycare. Before we knew it, it was time to pack for our flights and head to the airport.
Thursday - Both kiddos did well on the first flight with Connor sleeping through the first part and Maci going through every single toy in her bag. We were about 30 mins delayed thanks to some runway wait times - we LOVE waiting on a plane for extra time with kiddos waiting to take off - ugh. We were so happy to get into the rental car and head for grandma/grandpa's. After a quick run to Skyline, yep within 1 hour of arrival, we were at the Gilroy residence and so excited to see Grandma and the one and only Aunt Molly! Maci and Molly are like kindred spirits, they are so cute to see together and well Maci adores her :) My mom and I ran out for a few errands while Clint caught some afternoon Zzzs and Molly kept the kiddos. That night we did our Christmas with Mom/Dad/Molly - Maci was so excited to get the Barbie camper which unfortunately is being shipped back to us - I swore I would figure out a way to bring it on the plane but alas shipping is probably the best option. Later that night, Clint and I met up with my best guy bud from high school, Eric, and his wife, Amanda, for some yummy Dewey's pizza/salad for dinner. It was so great to catch up with such a good friend who we don't talk to near enough - bummed I didn't take a picture! Even though it was a cold/snowy night, Clint and I hit up the Graeters ice cream drive through afterward - I have to get all my Cincy favs in within a few days :)
Friday - We started the morning with a Cincy 6 breakfast at PHC. It is a huge turn out when you get 4 of the 6 of us considering we live in : CA, MN, GA, IL, KY, OH. The only missing participants were Emily (Chicago bound) and Erin (Louisville bound). My has our group grown over the years thanks to kiddos! The conversation is significantly different as well but man do we pick up where we left off - love these girls like sisters and have known them since high school - MUAH!
That night we hit up the world renowned (not sure if that is true HA) Festival of Lights at the Cincinnati Zoo! I always loved this as a kid and it was fun to see my kiddos experience all the beauty of the lights and fun of the animals. Maci and her cousin Preston (5) were crazy goofballs but it was fun to see her have a great time with cousins - so rare for her. We had a wonderful time and lots of laughs!

Saturday NYE - We started the day with brunch at the Incline House with my immediate family. It was super yummy and grandpa helped take care of Connor while he whined the entire meal - UGH!
Bless Molly for Entertaining this One
Afterward, Grandpa headed home for a nap and the girls + Clint/Connor headed to Krohn Conservatory to see the holiday flowers and trains - another fun childhood fav :)

That night we had all sorts of plans! We headed to my sister Meghan's for cousin Hailey's 1st birthday party. We enjoyed dinner, cake and some quick present opening before we had to hit up our 2nd party. The OSU Buckeyes were in a huge football game so we went to my parents' friend's house for the game. Unfortunately the Buckeyes forgot to show up for the game and it was UGLY! Oh well, still a really fun NYE. I even got to see the Mariah Carey bizarre performance live and Maci asked us to smell her dirty feet as the ball dropped - YAY 2017 haha!

Sunday New Years Day - My parents had an open house for all family/friends to pop by and say hi to us since we were only able to get to so many places in a few days. It was so great to see all my family that came by throughout the day, including Clint's parents heading down from Toledo. My mom's spread was super yummy and we had lots more laughs. The kiddos were overly spoiled again with amazing books from Aunt Marilyn/Uncle Ken and Christmas from Aunt Trish.

That night we were EXHAUSTED but we had to get all packed up so we weren't rushed in the morning. After getting fairly well packed, we watched a movie with Aunt Molly before we all turned in around 930p - WOAH what a busy past few days :)
Monday - Happy 20th Birthday Aunt Molly! We had to start the day singing to her at 8a before we loaded the car and headed to the airport. It was sad to say goodbye, as usual, but we were very excited to get home, get settled and sleep back in our own beds - no more Maci kicking at night! Kiddos did great on the flight home as well and thankfully this one actually moved 10 mins earlier than planned! Miss M proceeded to require we allow her to roll her own bag through the airport and wished for high heels so she could sound like the big girls - oh my! The rest of our last holiday was spent running to the grocery, unpacking, laundry, making dinner etc. While it was another busy day, it feels so good to be ready for the week ahead and feel back in our routine at home.
I am now crashing in my own bed and wish you all a healthy, joyous and prosperous New Year!!
Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C
