A lingering Sunday picture
Maci's playdate with Natalie
What a wonderful start to the week - NO WORK! So the kiddos headed to daycare on Monday and Clint and I headed back home for a lazy morning, brunch out, Mall of America (MOA) window shopping and lunch. What a nice day together while the kiddos played at school!
After a wonderful long weekend, I had to pack up for my first work trip in a LONG time. I was off to Dallas, TX for the Finance Development & Training Institutes regular meeting hosted at Kimberly Clark's HQ this time around. It was so nice to go from 60 degree temps here to 80 degree temps in Dallas! I had a nice trip and while I missed the kiddos, I knew they were in good hands back at home with Clint.

Connors Dinner when Mom is Gone
Yep - lots of yellow and a chocolate Dove ice cream bar!
In Clint's defense - Connor is getting molars so anything cold helps :)

Friday - I got back home a little sooner than planned on Thursday because we opted to take an earlier flight given the "white death" they were predicting in the Twin Cities starting Thurs night. We landed at 430p and come Friday there wasn't even 1 snow flake. The National Weather Service actually issued an apology because they made this out to be a blizzard when the metro saw 0! However, I am pretty ready to be done with snow so I am ok that they got it wrong :)
I had a busy day at work of meetings and getting caught up after having been away for a few days. Clint got home to pick up the house around 5p and I got the kids and headed that way a little later. We all enjoyed pizza dinner and I surprisingly had some energy for a Friday night so I kept getting some work done while also watching Dirty Dancing with Clint. Man do I love that movie and the feeling of accomplishment when getting caught up! :)

Working on Letters
Saturday - What a Busy Saturday! Connor was a bit whiny with the molars coming in so we decided to divide and conquer our Saturday morning which was a great call! Clint took Maci to her dentist apt at 830a and then onto dance class at 930a. Unfortunately Maci didn't have much patience for the dentist so they only got half way through this cleaning but she LOVED dance and costumes for the recital arrived :) While they did that, I got the house in order, completed some weekend errands/laundry and got Connor to take a great morning nap!

Clint and Maci brought some bagels home with them and we got ready for the next part of our day. Maci was having her friend Tanyn from school over to play - a repayment for the play date Maci had at their house about a month ago. Tanyn arrived around 1230p and hung with us until 230p. Tanyn was very sweet and Maci was extremely hyper! The girls were all over the house and had so much fun playing make believe. Clint ran to the grocery for us right before Tanyn arrived so we were able to get that checked off the list as well!
Snack Break
Maci had the tongue out idea ugh!
After Tanyn left, we had one more daytime adventure. The neighbors kitty corner in our backyard, Nora's family, had a birthday party for their 1 year old from 3-5p. We hiked up to their house a little after 3p and hung until happy birthday was sung and cake was handed out. Once we got home, we all crashed! Connor took another nap, Maci watched some iPad in bed, Clint and I watched TV on the couch. Clint headed to get dinner for all of us and then we handled bedtime. I was so exhausted so watched TV in bed and Clint headed out around 9p to a neighbors house for drinks and basketball watching with the guys.Sunday - We have had a lazy morning at this house. We just finished watching Finding Dory on Netflix with the kiddos. I have no real plans today and that feels awesome! Maci has a friend from school's birthday party from 3-5p but other than that - lazyville! We are starting to get very excited for our FL break with the kiddos and the family matching shirts arriving in the mail made us that much more ready!
I am signing off to go back to my lazy day, maybe take a shower :) We hope you all have a wonderful rest of your weekend and week ahead! I fortunately have a happy hour tomorrow night so how bad can your Monday be when you have that to look forward to?! :)
Lots of Love,
