Mondells in Minneapolis: WI Dells Annual Trip!

Last Sunday's Pool Day

Connor & I did Sand Box while Maci & Clint did Water Slides

Before we headed out for the WI Dells on Friday morning, Connor had to make things interesting and fall during a temper tantrum at school on Wednesday. Thankfully Clint took the call and was able to head out with Connor to urgent care. Fortunately, there was no head trauma (aka concussion) and the cut was small enough that he needed no stitches or staples. Once we knew everything was OK, we got to have some fun with this tough stud and his cutie picture.💙

Friday - We were so excited to get up, shower and finish packing for the 4 fun packed days at the WI Dells. We hit up Bruegger's for some bagels and Costco gas before we were on the 4 hour drive. The kids did fairly well on the drive with only a few whines about how much further. We arrived around 2p and we were pumped to hear our room was already ready, 4p is the guaranteed time. We dropped off all our bags at the Villa and then took the kids for a walk around the grounds. By the time we finished our walk my sister and her family were pulling up. We quickly showed them the villa and then headed off for some water park fun since Trish was still a few hours out.

After way too many trips down an indoor tube slide, Clint met his sister and the boys and then we all dried off for dinner but the older boys took off on their own adventure. We had some yummy dinner at Survivor's, a sports bar at the resort.

After dinner, it was pretty late and the littles had to go down for the night. My sister Meghan and I ran to Walmart to get some groceries for the weekend (breakfast and snacks). We got home to a mad house of kids playing around 10p and helped chill everyone out for a fun filled Saturday!

Planning Out the Visit

Saturday - Holy Busy Fun Day! All the little kids were up by 8a so we were planning out our morning while Trish and the older boys crashed. Our two families headed out for some typical tourist attractions and man did we have a FUN morning.

We ended the fun morning with a trip to Braut Haus for lunch. Trish and her boys were on their way to the Duck Boats so we missed them for lunch. We then headed back for afternoon naps (parents enjoyed as well!) That afternoon, Trish and her boys headed to an outdoor waterpark along with our family while the Hollan family kept snoozing. When the Hollan's woke up, they were off to Laser tag and arcade games with Preston. We met up with them after we dried off and then ordered a late pizza dinner to the room as the kiddos were crashing fast!

Sunday - Similar story as to Saturday - Trish got to luckily sleep in with the boys while the young kiddo families were up and at 'em. This time we reversed the order and did early morning wave pool and rides followed by naps and then hitting the town.

We got home and everyone quickly crashed. Trish and the boys headed home in order to make Freshman Orientation Monday afternoon. We missed you guys on Monday!

Monday - Nicholas had to fly out early so he was gone before our family awoke. Meghan, kiddos and our family finished packing up and then hit the pool again. Meghan didn't have to head to the airport until about 1p so we enjoyed the morning with them before starting our drive home at the same time. We got home around 430p today and have been rushing around the house doing laundry, ordering groceries, sorting mail and getting ready to head back to reality after a lot of laughs and family fun over the last several days! We can't wait for next year at the WI Dells!
