Mom Heads to San Francisco

Monday -

• Fun off day with the family!
• Kids loved snow tubing and mom got over her fear after the first few hills HA

Tuesday - 

• I headed to the airport for my work trip to San Francisco around 930a
• It was an easy flight out and I really enjoyed walking off a plane with 50 degree temps
• After dropping my bags at the hotel, I took a Lyft to the office to meet up with co-workers since only 230p their time
• Rowena, Kate and I headed to Mexican for dinner and then called it an early night around 7p their time which was getting late for us CST timers

Wednesday - 

• A full day of team meetings for me
• No school due to snow for Clint - YIKES!
• Clint worked from home, hosted the neighbor boys for a movie and cleared multiple driveways - what a guy?!
• No Gymnastics due to Snow!

Thursday - 

• Fun team day!  Walked the 5 mins to the Giants stadium then headed out on a walking tour of Little Italy in the North Beach part of San Fran - that's my kind of work afternoon
• M and I did some FaceTime on the last night there and you can tell we are both not fans of more snow coming over the weekend!!!  Is it Spring?!

Friday - 

• I headed home on an early flight out 730a - easy ride again
• I got home in time to tidy up the house, get a few more things done with work, start laundry/unpack before I had to grab the kiddos and pick up more Girl Scout Cookies
• Clint got our taxes done after work and then we all enjoyed some pizza

Saturday - 

• Maci had dance
• Afterward, Maci had her friend Audra's birthday party 
• Connor also got an invite to the birthday party since her little brother Ollie is his good buddy from old daycare
• Clint and I ran errands and enjoyed lunch while they played at the party at an indoor playground - ahh so nice they are at an age to have fun and get dropped without us!!
• Clint and I enjoyed more Riverdale at night

Sunday - 

• Freezing cold morning!!!  This is OLD!
• After some errands, I hunkered down in the office to get caught up on work from a week of being out of pocket
• Maci had another birthday party for Isla - at a kids cooking school this time :)
• Afterward, I picked her up and ran her to her monthly girl scout troop meeting
• We wrapped up the evening with me finishing more work (hence the delay on the blog) and then a glass of wine/hot bath

Valentine's Day Fun!

Monday -

• Connor got to enjoy Costume Kim as Pinkalicious 

Tuesday - 

• I worked from home as our office was closed due to pending snow accumulation and we did get a LOT but it fell over night about 4-6 inches of thick fluffy stuff
• School ran as normal but I was able to snap a few cool shots of the kids waiting for the bus in all that snow!
• I had happy hour with John Giles (Cargill tax leader) and Megan (former HR co-worker) but only Megan could make it b/c John had a last minute kid pick up duty - it was great to catch up with my buddy!!

Wednesday -

• Maci had 100th day of school and got to dress like a 100 year old - so fun doing these themes with her because she gets so into them with me!
• Clint headed to Iowa for a work trip mid morning 
• Both kids had gymnastics at night and I got to catch up with my pal/former coworker Amber

Thursday - 

• Happy Valentine's Day!
• Clint got home from Iowa around dinner and just in time to pick up kids for me since I was truck in traffic downtown 
• We enjoyed homemade Skyline coneys for dinner!!
• Clint gave me some beautiful roses and booze ;-)

Friday -

• I worked from home because I was going to the school around 1030a with my neighbor for the kindergartener sweetheart dance!
• Maci had a few tears when it was time for me to go but she had so much fun!
• I had a happy hour after work hours with my former colleagues/friends Amber and Sara
• Clint and I watched some Riverdale (Current Netflix binge) while enjoying a beer

Saturday - 

• Clint and Maci ran to get donuts together in the morning - a new fav routine of theirs
• Clint got a quick haircut before we all headed to Dance
• Soccer is over for the time being so we were able to head to Pub 819 and enjoy some brunch with the Zehr's and Cassem's
• We headed home, sold an old speaker off Facebook garage sale and then headed to the Ice Fishing event in our neighborhood 
• We were shocked that we made it as long as we did outside but it was a really fun idea for the neighbors!  We were out there from 3p to 430p
• Clint and I hurried home and got ready for date night - Birch's on the Lake
• As we were getting ready to leave in our Lyft, our garage door got off track and is an absolute mess - the Lyft driver was nice and helped us to get it down
• We had a yummy dinner and a few cocktails before heading home for a decent bed time of 11p

Sunday - 

• Debated going to the Children's Museum but instead sided for a lazy day at home!
• We got lots of random errands completed around the house and online while also folding laundry and watching my beloved Riverdale show.
• We look forward to having a lazy night at home and sleeping well knowing we still have another day off tomorrow!!!!  Love 3 day holiday weekends!!!

We hope you also had a great weekends and fingers crossed many of you are enjoying a 3 day weekend as well.  I head to San Fran for work around lunch on Tuesday and return around lunch on Friday - I am looking forward to good quality time with my new team and I hope the kids don't give Clint too hard of a time!

More Shitty Weather - Winter is Getting Old!

Really Boring Super Bowl Sunday Night

Monday - 

• 2 Hour Delay AGAIN!

Tuesday - 

• I had a all day training at UHG headquarters - we got out at 4p but it took me until almost 6p to get home thanks to more snow throughout the day 

Wednesday - 

• More annoying snow but thankfully we were able to get to and from work/school and to Gymnastics at night.  Maci continues to rock the mat and Connor is loving his special time tumbling too, mastering the forward roll!

Thursday - 

• MORE FLIPPING SNOW!!!!!
• I got Connor to daycare and found out my work meeting in the burbs was cancelled and that they may cancel the holiday party at night so I went to work from home.

Outside My Home Office Window - UGH!

• Maci road the bus home as they were hoping we could all get our kids early as the snow came all day
• By 3p it finally let up and our sitter was able to make it to our house by 530p so we made the haul downtown for the holiday party
• We had a really great time and I was glad we went as I had a funk with the weather all day and this let me loosen up.  Clint met all my new colleagues and I had some good laughs with new friends.
• We got home and in bed around 1230a which made for an early Friday!

Friday - 

• A rough morning all around - Maci had a 2 hour delay, Clint was working from home to help with her getting off, I moved slow from exhaustion and when I did leave into work it was SO DAMN ICY!!!  I finally got to the office around 930a and thankfully had a productive day!
• At night, we headed to the Cassem's for pizza and hanging out with our pals.  It was nice to see all our peeps but around 9p we all started to wilt.

Saturday - 

• Another fun busy Saturday!
• Clint and Connor headed off to a daddy and me "things that move" event at the local community center for 90 mins
• Maci and I headed to dance at the same time - dang that girl loves to move!
• Maci and I then headed to her last indoor soccer practice/game and met Clint/Connor there - M had 2 sweet goals and some Awesome defensive skills - So proud!
• We then ate lunch at Ham's Sandwich, ran Connor home for nap time and did laundry/cleaning (the usual)
• While Clint was riding the Peloton, I ran Maci to a Glow Party I signed her up for at Dance Unlimited (about 10 mins from our house) - she got to eat pizza, do crafts and learn a new dance with glow sticks with a group of girls from 500p-830p
• Shortly after I got home, Clint headed out for guy's night with the former neighborhood crew - they played at Top Golf and then headed to the bars.  While they were gone, I got bills paid, cookies planned out and all sorts of other to dos completed.
• Clint and John showed back up at our house for late night drinks and pool while I was taking a bath/getting ready for bed.  I have no clue what time they finally crashed as I was out like a light around midnight.

Running My Side Job These Days

Sunday - 

• Lazy Sunday after a crazy busy Saturday!
• Clint ran some errands for us 2x today which helped with picking up groceries, valentine's, dropping cookies etc.
• I helped Maci with her reading and math homework while also getting things ready for the week ahead
• Now Clint is clearing even MORE snow off the driveway, Connor is napping, Maci is having quiet time and I am getting into the show Riverdale on Netflix (pretty good!)

We hear there is more snow in the forecast this week.  Prayers and good thoughts that it is a whole lot of nothing and we are at spring in the blink of an eye!  We hope you all stay warm and dry this week!
