Clint Heads to Toledo for High School Memories

Connor, Clint and Boomer Checking Out Lake Fun on a Sunday Stroll!
Monday -

  • Happy Earth Day - We all wore our Green in honor of the day!
Tuesday
  • Happy Birthday Aunt Trish!
  • I got to meet sweet baby Claire over lunch along with her wonderful momma Jess - a former co-worker at Cargill who lives down by my new office
  • Connor made and decorated rain sticks at school
Wednesday
  • Gorgeous Day!
  • Clint took Connor to Gymnastics
  • While they were at Gym, Maci and I headed to the big park and she showed me her upper body strength on the monkey bars!
Thursday
  • Another amazing day weather wise!
  • I had a MN town hall with our senior leader which turned into a quick happy hour at the end of the day.
  • I then rushed to the middle school to do a Crepe making class with my friend/neighbor Tena - we learned everything from apps to main entree to dessert - it was fun chatting with her
  • While we were at class, Clint watched her boys and our kiddos since Nate and Break had baseball practice for a part of the night.  Lil Nash fell asleep on Clint's arms and reminded him that the kids weren't so bad at that little age.
Friday
  • I worked from home
  • Maci got to come home on the bus b/c her pal Isla's mom (Jill) was going to pick her up from our house for a play date around 330p
  • In addition, we had Adam's Pest Control come out and look at our Asian beetles, wasps and spiders to just get us ready for spring/summer/fall
  • After kids went to bed, Clint and I joined the Harty's for a fire out back - so many good laughs!
Saturday
  • Clint got up early to head to the airport for a quick trip home to Toledo in order to celebrate and honor his high school football coach who is now retiring
  • The kids and I were slow moving so we missed dance but made it to Culvers for a yummy lunch
  • The weather ended up getting quite nice so they played outside for a bit and Maci went to play at the Harty's while Connor napped - I may have snuck one in too
  • After watching some old 90s music videos on classic MTV I put the kids to bed and caught the great 2 OT hockey game of Bruins vs Blue Jackets

Sunday
  • We got our grocery errands ran and enjoyed yummy donuts before the kids headed outside to play with neighbors
  • I have been cleaning the house only to find out we won't have a girl scout meeting here this afternoon but now I have a clean house and no kids coming over - win/win!
  • Clint lands back home around 3p and I have some much needed work to tackle later in the day
We hope you all had a great spring week and weekend!  I am getting super excited for Miss Molly Gilroy's college graduation at OSU next weekend!!

Amazing Weather and Easter Weekend!!

Dying Eggs Last Sunday Night!

Monday -

  • I worked from home and said bye to my family before heading to DC around dinner time
Tuesday
  • Happy Birthday to Aunt Marilyn!
  • 1st day of offsite meetings for me in DC
  • At night, we had a team event for heavy apps/drinks and games at a place called the players club.  I guess Chip (one of our VPs) is some shark at pop a shot (basketball game).  Well I like to shoot so I said I would play him.  This drew quite a crowd b/c again I guess he is some legend.  Well I win game 1 - yay me!  He is in shock, quickly says best 2 out of 3.  Ok sure, I lose game 2 - no sweat but he is feeling good, I must have gotten lucky.  Game 3, now even my competitive streak is coming-out.  I couldn't miss.  I ended up winning and he swore he won until he looked down and saw my score.  The place went nuts - he has NEVER lost!  We took pictures in the photo booth to commemorate.  Some guys were emailing them to other executives.  We had my Chief People Officer on the phone at one point :)  My glory day!!!

 Final Score!!!

Wednesday
  • Not sure how this group does this - I only stayed until 12a and I was dying!!!  Others helped close the place down.  Lots of us were making runs to the bagel shop across the street to carb up and drink coffee - all the coffee.  Day 2 was a little slower for all involved.
  • After meetings, I headed to the DC office and met my teammate Lindsay (LL) for dinner.
  • On the home front, Connor had gymnastics and Maci was so glad to see her former teacher - Coach Ethan.
Looking Cool in DC with LL!

Thursday
  • I spent the day at the DC office and was supposed to meet a high school buddy PJ for dinner - he lives in the area now as he is coaching Navy Football
  • However, around lunch I got an alert that bad weather was coming in Friday morning and I could reschedule my flight for free - say no more!  I ended up getting on a 7p flight Thurs night and missed all the junk storms coming into DC
  • Connor enjoyed Soccer Shots at school and continues to be yet another soccer protege :)
Connor's Lunch Table

Friday
  • So nice to have slept in my own bed!!!
  • I was going to work from home but not that I am here for the whole day, I hauled into the office which was a good call - nice to see everyone and enjoy the gorgeous sun rolling in the downtown windows!!!
  • Clint got "kicked out" of work around 3p b/c it was such a nice day so he headed home to start draining the hot tub while I finished my day at the office.
  • It was a BEAUTIFUL day so after dinner we walked to the "Big" playground behind our house and enjoyed one of what will be many evenings at the park.  Maci was excited to see a few friends from kindergarten at the park as well :)
Saturday
  • Busy but fun day!!  It was in the high 70s!!!
  • We started the day with coffee on the deck - thanks to Clint pulling out all the patio furniture on Friday!  YAS!!!
  • We had dance and learned all about the ins and outs of Maci's upcoming recital.
  • Afterward, we met up with the mommy and me friends for Brunch at Pub 819
  • We then came home for some naps, outdoor fun and household to dos.  Clint ran a ton of errands while I kept an eye on the hot tub filling up with clean water.
  • Around 5p we started to get ready for monthly date night WHOOP WHOOP!
  • We went out with our neighbors the Harty's - we had a yummy dinner + cocktails at Maynard's on Lake Minnetonka - So Nice!!
  • We came home to relieve sitters around 10p, completed our Easter duties and then met back up with the Harty's in their back yard for one final brew and fire - WHAT A GREAT DAY!!!

Maci's Basket - Good Hiding Spot!

Sunday
  • Happy Easter!!!!
  • We had a fun morning of eggs, baskets and fancy attire!
  • Our kids played with the neighbors for a bit before we had to get ready to head out.
  • We had an awesome brunch the 4 of us at Jake's in Plymouth
  • We got home around 1p and have been outside enjoying the sun and high 60s since then!
  • Maci is running around with the neighbor girls as we speak and Connor/Clint are practicing hitting off the baseball tee.
  • I am loving all the fresh air while I sit outside finishing the blog for the week!
  • We are hoping to still get a walk in and maybe try out our kites before calling it a day.
  • Tonight I have to get some work done and prep for the week while our kids need baths and early bed times :)

NCAA Final Four, Father / Daughter Dance & Easter Egg Hunt!!

So we missed getting last week's blog done so lots of catching up to do!!!

Week of April 1st

  • Monday
    • Trip home from Gulf Shores
  • Tuesday
    • 1st day back to work and Maci started with the spring break camp through school which meant she had a field trip to Science Museum
  • Wednesday
    • Connor had gymnastics at night
  • Thursday
    • Lots of work catch up
  • Friday
    • Maci had a tooth extracted but took it like a champ!  It was one she had filled and capped about a year ago but it was starting to have issues at the gum, since it was baby they would rather take it and then put in a spacer since well she has her moms mouth which means over crowding and braces in her future :(
    • I took the bus to and from work because it was starting to get nutty down town with the Final 4 fun
    • Neil (great buddy from college) and his friend Alex landed in MN around 1130p - before they got here, Clint and I got groceries ordered, house cleaned, laundry done etc.
    • We stayed up way too late 2a catching up!!
  • Saturday
    • Maci had dance and Clint took her so I could be here when the boys woke up
    • Around lunch we all took a bus downtown to check out the NCAA Final Four events
    • I showed my family my office right by the stadium and Neil/Alex headed to the game to check it out before tip off
    • Clint and I were exhausted from Friday night so we cancelled our sitter and crashed on the couch watching the games

 Stadium Fun
Maci Enjoying the Events
Family Fun!
The Trophy!
  • Sunday
    • All of us are feeling the exhaustion so we laid around on the couch and watched Neil's fav soccer team win the semi final of a European tournament
    • Around 2p we finally started to get up and moving and beat mine and my mom's record on photo hunt!
    • We had some beers and our sitter arrived around 4p
    • We headed down to Downtown Wayzata on lake Minnetonka for drinks at the Muni, followed by dinner at 6 Smith (YUM!) and then finally darts and way too many drinks at Inn Ka Hoots by our house - while we paid for it on Monday and even Tuesday (SO TIRED!)  It was so dang fun - almost like being in college with Neil all over again - so many laughs and just such a great friend!
We Beat the Record!!!
Sunday Funday!
FaceTimed Christie Girl from the Muni
Dinner Fun!

Ugh the Red Bull Vodkas - Killed Me!
Week of April 8th
  • Monday
    • I had planned to take the bus but couldn't get my rump out of bed on time and I forgot I had to go buy cupcakes for a Marketing all hands meeting so I ran Connor to school, Maci was back to school via the bust post spring break, and then I stopped by the grocery for 2 dozen cupcakes.  I wanted to die while standing in line with those cupcakes.  I got downtown no problem and actually found a garage for only $10 that was within a quick 2 min walk of my building + the weather was AMAZING!  Around 2p I decided to take a meeting from the car so I could get out of town well before the Final Game!  Smart move!!!  While our kids played outside in the glorious weather, I attempted to keep my eyes open.  I finally crashed and went to bed at 8p :)
    • The boys left to the final game around the same time I got home from work.  They had a blast and what a great game it was (I watched highlights) HA!
The Neighborhood Kids Having a Meeting at the Harty's??!!  HA
  • Tuesday
    • Neil got up before we all left to work since they flew home around 4p - they went to Mall of America for a bit before their flight since we didn't fit that into our weekend fun
Connor's Snack Time
  • Wednesday
    • Connor had gymnastics and Clint took him while I got some work done at home
  • Thursday
    • We got a freaking blizzard!!!  UGH - they closed our office and Maci didn't have school so a day at home it is!  Maci was really good for me and watched 2 movies and played outside with the boys for a bit too!
  • Friday
    • I worked from home again but this time was because I needed to go right at 9a to renew my license (a potential nightmare and waste of time)!  I got in and out in 22 mins b/c I beat the rush and then treated myself to a bagel and diet coke on the way home.
    • Around 415p I picked up Maci to get her all dolled up for her daddy/daughter dance!!
    • Clint got home around 430p too and we took pics before they were off to the Medina Country Club for dinner followed by their dance until 8p.
    • Connor and I hit up a sub shop and then watched How to Train Your Dragon at home!
Good Lucking Couple!

    • Lots of errands and efforts around the house while Connor napped and M played outside
    • I took a good 1 hour walk with my neighbor pal Tena
    • After putting the kids to bed, we headed over to The Harty's (Tena and Nate) for a fire and cocktails - per usual we get laughing and chatting and next thing you know we went home at 1a
Kiddos & The Bunny!
Getting all the Eggs in the Snow (UGH!)
New Spring Flowers in the House Make Me Smile!!!
  • Sunday
    • Masters Sunday so Clint has been in the basement all morning!
    • I got groceries and finished cleaning plus packed for DC as I head tomorrow afternoon until Friday early morning.
    • The kids have been playing outside a lot which is awesome.  Maci recently headed to the playground with 2 boys from across the street (a little freedom we are letting her try).  Connor isn't allowed to go without a parent even though it is a neighborhood park but he is only 3.5.  Because I wouldn't let him go the middle brother decided to stay home and play with him until his nap (HOW SWEET!)  Then when Connor came in for nap he rode up to the park to meet up with the kids.
    • I am likely to take a nap in a bit and I am so grateful this seems to be one of those lazy slow moving Sundays!
    • We are looking to dye eggs later today and I will probably get some work done later in the day/evening.
I am so excited for the spring temps in DC and we have the spring temps coming back to us here too so hopefully I don't see the white stuff again until next winter!!  We hope you are also getting some fresh air and enjoying the change of season!

Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C
