Bye to Grandma and Labor Day Weekend!

Monday :

• Clint worked from home as our insurance adjuster came out to check out the hail damage and it turns out that we will get a new roof, almost all new windows and new garage door - HOLY COW!
• After work I ran by school to get Maci's 1st grade class listing - a few kids from last year but mainly new friends
• Mom and I took a nice long walk around the neighborhood to wrap up the night

Tuesday : 

• I volunteered to read at a summer kid program and at lunch my HR team headed to the MN state fair for a fun afternoon of food, rides and catching up outside of the office.
• Clint and I took a walk after I got caught up on email

Wednesday : 

• We hurried home from work to get Maci to her open house at school
• We met her new teacher Mrs Sheldon and put away all of her supplies so she is all set for next Tuesday
• After getting home, we all ate coneys and Clint and I took another walk around the neighborhood

Thursday : 

• I worked from home since I was driving mom to the airport shortly after lunch
• After our teary goodbyes, I got back to our home in time for more calls, Clint came home early to help me with M but she then went to the Harty's and swam.  
• I worked a little later than usual but then said "Wahoo long weekend!!!"

Friday : 

• Annual family fair day!
• We got to the fair around 1030a and didn't line up for the bus until almost 8p.  Such a fun day for our family!!

Saturday : 

• M had soccer in the morning and is really learning some impressive skills
• We ran a ton of errands and I got a lot done around the house - love when I am feeling productive on a long weekend
• Around 330p I finally gave into M and took the kids over to the Harty's to swim/hang out while Clint finished some errands
• We came home for dinner, put kids down for bed and took a brief walk before heading back over to the Harty's for a fire and Iowa football game.

Sunday : 

• Clint has his fantasy football draft extravaganza today this means golf around 12 and then dinner and draft and drinking - I expect him back around 10p
• The kids and I headed to the Fike's for lunch and hung with all the mommy & me friends.  After lunch we took a walk to their neighborhood park and then headed home for more household needs.
• Connor went down for an early bedtime and I am hoping M may do the same so I can watch my TV all alone :)

We hope you are also enjoying your labor day weekend and unofficial wrap up of summer!  While sad to say bye to summer, our house is looking forward to the start of the school year and the routine that it brings with it.  Time can slow down though - how is M a 1st grader?!
