Pics from Last Sunday's Anniversary Date Night

Monday :

• Maci had soccer practice which she and I went to and I caught up on email in a nice breeze
• Connor had his first flag football practice which he and Clint went to 
• Maci and I hustled to the football field just to see the last 2 plays but Connor loved it and even scored a TD as a running back

Tuesday :

• Connor had a soccer game that we all went to and he was playing great until he hurt his foot on a play and then he was kind of over it
• Afterwards, we had to hustle to the first night of Maci's ninja warrior class - it wasn't quite what we were expecting but she hustled, was the only girl, had a blast and made us proud!

Wednesday : 

• Clint took the day off to negotiate pricing on a new Volvo SUV and he did a great job so we will be saying bye to the CRV this coming Friday and I will now drive a Volvo while Clint will take on the Pilot
• It was a cooler day which must have really helped Maci's lil soccer team - they have tied or won their first 2 games but today they beat the other team by at least 25 - they were on fire

Thursday :

• Our work Friday!!!
• I planned one of my teammates virtual bridal showers
• Got quite a bit of other work done while also moving the laundry along
• Wrapped up the day while Clint loaded the car for camping
• Hurried out of the house for Connor's soccer game
• He played much better today and it was SUNNY/Hot
• After the game we were off to grab some dinner at a drive thru and then get to the campground to meet up with the Harty's
• We rolled in around 7p to drinks, snacks and kids playing on the playground

Friday : 

• Gorgeous but HOT day!
• We had swim times from 11a-1p and 5-7p
• Before our swim times, we took the kids through the petting zoo, pretty cute and clean for a camp ground.
• We all had a blast swimming and then Connor/Nash crashed while Tena and I were lazy bums in the shade.  The men and other kids hit up the putt putt golf course and came back like drowned rats
• We all couldn't wait for our 5p swim time and then burgers for dinner!!  Kids went to bed at a decent time but all the adults were exhausted so we crashed around 11p

Saturday :

• We enjoyed water activities from 930-1030a
• We then hung out waiting on our 1-3p swim time - unfortunately it would drizzle from time to time as some weather was coming in 
• Be decided to pack it up post swimming given some of the bad weather rolling in and then we headed home, ate our walking Taco dinner at the Harty's and all slept in our comfy/safe beds vs a tent
• It was such a great time but also a great call to leave a little early vs being soaked in a tent

Sunday : 

• Ahhh woke up refreshed!
• Harty's came over to watch a movie in the morning while Tena went to pick up her parent's at the airport
• We have been doing so much laundry, cleaning etc from the camping but now all are set!
• We may take a walk soon before some weather may roll in here and I may take a nap to just fully recharge
• We are preparing for the week ahead and excited for more summer fun!

12 Years of Marital Bliss

Monday : 

• Happy birthday uncle Tommy!
• Maci had soccer practice at night and did a nice job keeping up while we enjoyed some sunshine on the sidelines

Tuesday : 

• Rain in the morning but led to a nice clear day and cooled it off a bit
• Connor had soccer at night and his team crushed it per usual but the boys probably spent as much time playing in the net as they did on the field HAHAHA

Wednesday : 

• Beautiful Day to work on the deck!
• Had a busy day with equity spending for the end of our Q2 process but great team work got it done
• Maci had a soccer game and she played so tough!  Her coach even told her she hustled the most and congratulated her - Yay Maci!!
• We got cherry berry on the way home in honor of her rockstar playing!

Thursday : 

• I didn't work from the deck b/c I had a few large audience presentations to complete so thought I would hole up in the office.
• We submitted the equity info finally after some 11th hour auditing!
• Connor had a soccer game and he scored a goal (1 in each game so far) and they stayed out of the net a bit more this time - yay!
• After putting the kids to bed, Clint and I headed to the Harty's for some bags and cocktails - a nice Friday eve tradition

Friday : 

• Gorgeous hot day on the deck for work!!!
• Got quite a bit done and then ended the day inside b/c I was sweating to death HA
• Clint went golfing at 1p on a tough but gorgeous course and also was sweating like no other!
• Wrapped up a little after 5p and got ready for the Markovich family to come over for a visit!
• Amber was a friend of mine in HR at Cargill + their son Luke is Connor's age and had gone to the same daycare up until COVID
• We enjoyed pizza and then adults went to play golden tee and photo hunt in the basement while the kids ran a muck upstairs in the playroom and outside - their daughter Avery is 1 year older than Maci so they had a blast too!
• We called it around 10p since kids had to get to bed and then we took a quick walk just Clint and I to end the night.

Saturday : 

• Slept in a bit and then got rolling on to dos around the house and preparing for camping this coming weekend - lists, meal prep etc.
• It was SO DANG HOT - felt like 108 YUCK!
• The Harty's had family over so we didn't swim but instead chilled around the house and worked on random to do's.  Kids had a blast watching parts of our wedding and reception DVDs.  I also set up my new iPhone, anniversary gift from Clint since I never make time to do my upgrade.
• Some thunder storms rolled in and Clint and I started to watch "Dead to Me" on Netflix - we recommend
• Rain cleared up a little after kid's bed time so we did a fire with the Harty's and Joans' adults - good laughs!

Sunday : 

• 12 Years of Marital Bliss!
• Clint and I both slept in a bit but then he ran to get doughnuts, promise to the kids on Saturday, while I kept snoozing.
• We enjoyed coffee on the deck since the weather had cooled to only a high of 83 today but super sunny!  It was a beautiful morning. 
• We planned our day with what we wanted to get accomplished and I got work prep done since we have evening plans tonight for our anniversary.  While I got work prep complete, Clint started to lay out needs for our camping trip.  I also went ahead and got the kids and my clothes packed so one less thing I have to worry about during the week.
• At 2p we headed over to the Harty's for some kid swimming and adult hang out by the pool but in the shade.  They had to leave around 4p for Tyce's baseball game and we headed home so M could play with Molly and Emily from down the street.
• Now we are going to get ready for our first date night since COVID!!!  Liz is coming to watch the kids while we will enjoy a patio seated dinner on Lake Minnetonka at one of our favs - 6 smith!

So many fun adventures and I don't think we look TOOO much older 💖

We have a nice long weekend coming up as well as a busy week until then!  Connor starts football clinic tomorrow evening and Maci had a ninja warrior camp that starts Tues evening - plus you throw in soccer that continues and we will be busy this week with work, evening activities and final camping packing prep!!

Soccer is Back in Full Force!

Monday : 

We all had a fairly quiet first day back in the real world post holiday weekend

Maci then had her first practice for her soccer program and was so happy to be back on the field

Tuesday :

• Normal day at home and another hot one

Wednesday : 

• HOT Day!!!!
• It felt like 100 outside and Maci had her first soccer game.  She hustled like no other and they took plenty of water breaks and had a shady tent set up for the girls, I was hot just sitting on the sideline.  
• After the game, I went on a walk with Tena b/c we are stupid and I thought I was going to pass out from sweating so much HA

Thursday : 

• Happy Birthday Nanny & Granda Jack!
• Warm day with some early rain but then cloudy and muggy the rest of the day - one of the first days I sat inside the office from morning to the end of the day - most days I work from the deck  😁
• It was finally Connor's turn to play soccer!  Clint is an assistant coach and he only plays games since the season was cut short.  Let's just say Connor BLEW me away!  I knew he was doing soccer shots at daycare but the kid can dribble, pass, hustle, understands the point of the game, doesn't use his hands and no crying.  I mean he was athletic - poor Connor we always think of him as the baby that I think we were all amazed by his abilities.  He scored 3 goals and had a ton of assists.  The best part . . . he had a HUGE smile and can't wait to do it again!!!
• We grabbed ice cream on the way home and then I went on a walk with Tena before playing bags with the Harty's in our backyard.

Friday : 

• Gorgeous work from the deck day!!!
• I had a super quiet morning but then busy afternoon, total reverse of most summer Fridays.
• Liz came out with a screaming Connor late in the day b/c Mr overly confident on his bike had an incident with the concrete - OUCH!
• When I called it for the day, we decided to order firehouse subs for dinner, watched Big Green soccer movie and had a nice chill Friday night!

Saturday : 

• Odd weather day - gorgeous in the morning then clouds but no real rain then sun then clouds - very indecisive 
• We did the park as a family in the morning, got stuff done around the house, hung with Harty's but not a great swim day, laid around and then got M's haircut before running her to Natalie's for her slumber party
• Maci had a blast at Natalie's
• Connor selected McDondald's for our family dinner sans Maci - Yippeee
• After he went to bed, Clint and I took a quick walk and then headed to Harty's for fire and bags

Sunday : 

• Clint got up at 8a to go do some workout at Fish Lake Park
• I woke up to Connor freaking out b/c he couldn't find any of us, I wasn't hard to find in my bed but with Clint and Maci gone he was all a mess
• We both rolled into clothes and ran to pick up M from Natalie's
• We've been getting a lot of stuff done around the house and Clint took a cat nap
• Now Clint is off with M to get us coffees, he is on a struggle bus HA, while Connor plays a game and I get prepared for the week
• In about 45 mins we are all heading to the Harty's for a day of swimming - AWESOME 85 and sunny today!!!
• Will wrap up the night with a family dinner and finalizing prep for another great summer week ahead!

Connor is so excited that he has 2 games this week like M.  We sure love seeing the kids enjoy sports the way we both did growing up!  We hope you also have an awesome summer week ahead!
