4th of July Weekend Fun!

Weekdays :

• I worked outside almost all week thanks to great weather!
• Kids did a lot of parks and some indoor play since it was getting rather toasty in the afternoons!
• We all wrapped up early on Thursday and I came over to the Harty's to hang out with Tena and let the kids swim before dinner time - Casey's taco pizza.
• Thursday night we played some bags and did a late night swim with the Harty's - kicking off the long holiday weekend the right way!

Friday : 

• Clint and I both had the day off and we gave Liz the day off too!
• I headed to finally get my hair cut and colored around 1030a and the kids went with Clint on a scavenger hunt of local parks and Wendy's lunch
• Once back we all enjoyed some quick down time before heading to the Harty's for swimming, BW3 dinner order and quick kid bedtimes before adults played more bags at our house.

Saturday : 

• Happy 4th of July!
• It was HOT from the moment we woke up!  Clint and I took a walk with coffee and sweat the entire time 🥵 but it was good to get moving given we will be lazy bums the rest of the day!
• From there we got a few things done around the house - new smoke detector, new light up outlets in the basement, laundry, grocery ordering etc before quick nap for mom and then Harty's pool for a 4th of July Harty Party!
• It was so hot even the adults were in the pool all day!
• After swimming, we got dressed in our festive gear and grilled burgers, enjoyed some cake and started with sparklers, firecrackers, bottlerockets etc.
• I busted out popsicles to tie the kids over until the big fireworks which were amazing - so glad we went to WI and bought some of those beauties!!!
• Kids went to bed around 10p and the adults finished the night with a few drinks around the fire.

Sunday : 

• We slept in until 930a - everyone was exhausted!
• Clint made goetta and cheese omelets while I got some ordering done online
• Kids are chilling with iPads, Clint just ran a few errands, I am frying on the deck doing this post.  We will head to the Harty's for more swimming in a bit.  The kids get a Freddies dinner since they didn't cry all weekend long - all 6 had to go in on this deal together!  Then we are burning the Christmas trees on our hill (HOT) before ending the night with s'mores.

What an awesome relaxing, fun and warm holiday weekend!!!  We hope you all had a safe and happy holiday as well.  We are going to be back to spending our weekdays at the soccer field starting this coming week with Maci on Mon/Wed and Connor on Tues/Thurs but we are so excited to get back to it we don't even mind that it will be our #1 activity in our evenings until early Aug ⚽️😃
