Memorial Day Weekend Fun!!

Monday :

  • Several people were on PTO at points this week for both Clint and I which made for a more chill environment, much appreciated!
  • It was a hot one on Monday and Maci had her soccer practice at 715p that night.  She played defense against the head instructor and she was panting like a dog at the end but she did so great!  Have I said lately how much I love watching her play and love a sport that I also loved at her age?!
Tuesday :
  • Got Maci's final hip check of her life on the schedule, wow girl, you have come so far from that tiny baby!!
  • Another hot one and Connor was up this time with a t-ball game at 645p - man is this boy some kind of talented at baseball.  He was playing 1st base and would jump up with both arms in the air the minute the ball was in the field - he knew it was supposed to come his way but his other buddies on the team often spent the entire time fighting over who got the ball.  HA. Connor also thought he was pretty hot stuff with his new baseball bag to carry all his gear!
Wednesday :
  • The weather took a turn to the colder end so we ended the day with Maci's soccer game but I was in a puffer coat!
  • It was so fun to cheer that little hustler on - she scored a goal with her left leg and wanted to call Uncle D and grandpa Mike right away!  She also begged her coach to let her play more time HAHA - some things are like watching a mini clone!
Thursday :
  • Nice chill last day of work for me and Clint was already on PTO!
  • It was a gross super cold and rainy day though but that's alright because the week is ending!!
  • Connor's T-ball game got cancelled however :(
Friday :
  • Wahoo School day for the kids and PTO for me and Clint!!!!!
  • We ran Connor into school after Maci got on the bus and then we grabbed from Bruegger bagels for breakfast.  Got home, took a call with Jane-Marie for some interior design ideas for living room furniture and then right away headed to kids closets and drawers for the bi-annual purge!
  • After finishing closets we ran to Goodwill for a big drop, even emptied out some basement closets!
  • We took a nice walk, showered and then headed for lunch at the local Mexican restaurant complete with margaritas and Coronas!
  • After lunch we were off to the window show room to meet our contractor now that the longest insurance battle is over!!!
  • The window apt look less time than we thought so we were off to Maynard's for some day drinking by the lake!!!!
  • We wrapped up and came home for me to hang with Tena a bit before her company arrived and then we were off to get the kids.  We decided to play hookie from the last day of gymnastics b/c it was the long weekend and the weather was too nice!
  • We enjoyed burgers on the deck and then watched the Wild lose in game 7 of the hockey tournament - boo!!
Day Drinking at Maynard's
Saturday :
  • Sunny but cool was the theme of our Memorial Day weekend.
  • Clint headed to golf with Ben around 830a which meant I was on Maci golf duty for her final lesson from 9-11a.
  • While Maci was at golf, Connor and I did a bagel run and Target trip before swinging back to get her
  • Then it was mom's turn for some fun and I enjoyed a monthly massage at 12p
  • Once I was home we were off to the Como Zoo but unfortunately you need to book a time and I hadn't seen that so Como town rides it was instead - we still had a blast!!
  • Headed home for some pizza dinner and then joined the Harty party and company for an impromptu soccer game in their side yard -I proved I still had some moves and Maci had a blast!!!!
  • After kiddo bedtime, Clint and I joined them all for their fire - lots of laughs!!
Rollercoaster with M & C was just a little short so he took it like a champ with this ride instead 😂
Sunday :
  • Overcast day but that won't stop us, we have Twin's tickets for a 110p game!!
  • We stopped in the apparel shop first and loaded up on some new hats, stadium blanket (man it is cold without the sun) and then got lots of yummy food before settling in.  Connor really really really loved it and Maci did until about inning 7 and then it was just kind of long
  • Connor really really really wanted a pitcher warming up or the left outfielder to chuck him a ball and come 9th inning when it didn't happen for him there were some tears until a super sweet teenager came over and handed him the ball he had gotten from one of them - so sweet!!!  Connor will not leave the ball alone!
  • We got home and I took a much needed nap before joining Harty party for day 2 of soccer fun, I wasn't feeling it as much this time around as I was sore and still tired but also a fun time and Maci was once again smiling ear to ear!!
  • We got kids into bed and Clint and I called it for the night too!
So Cute - Watching the bullpen with Dad
My Buddies
So this is around inning 8 and we are quickly loosing interest so we are comparing eye color here 😆
He is trying to act like he has done this before but he was SO EXCITED about this ball!
Our Crew with the Field in the back after the game and of course the sun came out, finally!
Maci really wasn't happy I didn't let her climb up like the kids in the background
Monday :
  • Happy Memorial Day!  Thank you to all our troops!
  • The sun is back and we are having our warmest day of the weekend!
  • Clint and I got to tearing out the island stone for the contractor to come Friday and I started to move stuff from our closet to the basement as that gets finally installed Jun 7 and 8
  • Maci and I did another quick target run which resulted in buying Rosie a 4th of July dog tutu and Boomer a tie dyed dog shirt HAH
  • Today has been a nice paced getting things ready for the week ahead which will be a far hotter one! We are going to grill out for dinner and then enjoy some smores before a nice bed time for some spent kiddos!
This is our kiddos 2nd to last week of school with everything wrapping up on Jun 10!  What a crazy school year it has been but we are all ready for summer fun!!

We hope you had a wonderful safe and happy weekend!!

Monday :

  • Grandma arrived from Ohio and I picked her up from the airport

Waiting on the Bus
Tuesday :
  • Wrapped work early to get Maci ready for her 1st communion
  • Unfortunately the weather turned as the day went on and it was a bit overcast for her pictures but she still looked beautiful and so sweet!
  • After her 1st communion we went to 6 smith for a family dinner and thankfully they were able to move our reservation inside as we were freezing at first on the patio
Pretty Girl!

Church Pics were different this year
Wednesday :
  • Busy day with so many stupid things - power went out for 1.5 hours, Boomer knocked over my burrito and got it on the floor and ate my dinner - a downpour caused us to miss Maci's soccer game - just bad luck all around!
Thursday :
  • Another day of rain but a better day for sure!
  • Unfortunately all the rain had the t-ball fields a mess so Connor did not get to have t-ball but we were able to head to Honey Mackies for ice cream with Grandma after dinner
Friday :
  • PTO day!!
  • We hung out around the house after all the kids were gone.  I got some laundry rolling before we went to pedicures at 11a.  Afterward we went to Maynard's for lunch and cocktails.  We got home in time for Maci's bus to arrive.  We then enjoyed the pretty afternoon before heading to get Connor and watch gymnastics!
  • After gymnastics, we headed to River Inn for dinner and my mom got to experience how awesome it is!  The kids played bags while waiting and they were so good!
Maynard's Lunch Fun

River Inn Party Time
Saturday :
  • My mom and I took Maci to golf along with Connor while Clint got a haircut
  • Connor had some sprite, my mom had a tea and I did a mimosa while we enjoyed a pretty Saturday morning!
  • We then headed to the airport while Maci wrapped her lesson - we gave Grandma her big hug and sent her on her way back to Ohio!
  • Connor and I grabbed some bagels, headed home to finish laundry and order groceries.
  • Around 130p we headed over to the Harty's for a pool day!!  Love a 80 something May Day!
  • The adults played some bags and started to keep score for the season with Mondell's up 2 games to 0 on the Harty's
  • We then headed home for quick showers before heading out for a mommy/me friend date night!
  • We were celebrating the May birthdays in our group (3 mommas out of 4!) and enjoying a normal night out now that we are all vaccinated!
  • After dinner we headed to the Stanchion and did some sweet dancing to the DJ before calling it a night around 12a
Pool Party & 6 Pack Abs

Dinner Fun!

Stanchion After Party!
Sunday :
  • We all woke up a bit groggy thanks to the fun night!
  • Clint and I took a gorgeous morning walk, washed my face, chugged some water, took some Advil and drank some coffee and I almost felt like a new person!
  • We then did some stuff around the house before having to head to Connor's flag football game at 2p and then Maci's soccer practice at 4p
  • We just enjoyed BW3 for dinner and once Clint is done with some yard work, we are heading to Honey and Mackies for some ice cream again!
  • Clint and I are ready or an early bedtime tonight after a super fun week and weekend!!
Enjoying the good life
We hope you all had a great week and enjoy the pics of Maci!

Full Force Sports - Football, T-Ball, Golf & Soccer!!

Weekdays :

  • Sports are officially in full swing at our house!
  • Monday - Maci launched her spring soccer season, the last development season before she could decide if she wants to try out for competitive - this was a practice
  • Tuesday - Connor had a kindergarten tour and welcome event that I attend with him around 4p then we quickly grabbed Maci and ran to his t-ball practice at 515p (ate dinner at the ballpark - hotdogs and chips!) and then I caught up with my former team member Kate - gorgeous day!
  • Wednesday - Maci had her first soccer game and won my hustle award!
  • Thursday - Connor had his first t-ball game and it may have been the cutest thing I have seen in a long time - he had some great hits and he even got someone out by throwing to his buddy Elliot at 1st but no one gets out in t-ball so the kid stayed there but still a great play!  We ended the evening just us in the hot tub and landing our plans for some home remodeling!

4 months - super cute and super busted!
photo taken after I found a shredded bath loofa in the family room

SWACK IT C-Man!

She is ready to be back at it - Monday was chilly!

Cheer if you are ready for this crazy 2020-2021 school year to almost be over!!
Maci's Tech Teacher having fun with a drone
Friday :
  • Busy day on my end and Clint had the day off so he did a ton of to dos around the house
  • We ran the kids to gymnastics and then ate at Panera to wrap the night
Saturday :
  • GORGEOUS DAY!
  • Maci had week 2 of golf, we ran errands, did stuff around the house, Clint worked in the yard and we spent plenty of time going to and from the recently updated playground in our neighborhood.
  • After taco pizza dinner we did one more full family trip to the playground
  • After kiddo bedtime, we were the ones to host the weekly fire and I tried some of the new Press flavors, not sure I like those as well as the original but still fun
Clint's gorgeous tulip blooms this year!
Bundles like this all over the yard
Sunday :
  • Nice temps but pretty cloudy day!
  • Clint played 9 holes of golf at 8a and is about to be home soon with bagels
  • I have helped Maci tackle her math homework for the week and now we are working on her 2nd grade capstone project (HAHA they don't call it that but I do!)  She had to pick a product to make 16 of, could only spend $10 to make it and use household items and then had to price it - we are making 15 cent animal bookmarks with our $8 being spent on animal puffy stickers and pom poms to tie on the top of the books - we will post finished pics soon - it's actually been pretty fun doing this with her and seeing her creativity!
  • At 1p we have Connor's weekly flag football game and Maci had some soccer conditioning at 4p so busy Sunday afternoon for our troop!
We hope you also had great weather this weekend and we can't wait until my mom arrives for a visit starting tomorrow!!!

Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C
