Lucky Derby Day!

Tolerating Each Other 😂

Weekdays : 

• We continue to work with an interior designer and this week we landed the new lighting fixtures in the kitchen, the mirrors in the master path and we picked out the new living room ceiling fan + carpet style - yay fun plans!
• We got back to Thursday night hot tub fun and had a few nights of playing with the kids outside thanks to some better weather!
• Last week of no kids activities in the evenings, everything starts to get way busier starting this week but that means the weather is better and summer is coming!!!

Friday : 

• Clint had the day off and played some golf in the morning then met back up at the house with me to meet with Jane-Marie our interior designer support
• We then took both kids to gymnastics and followed it up with a dinner at Sunshine Factory but then I crashed after we got home.  Clint and the kids stayed up to watch the original Pete's Dragon movie.  Maci has learned the song in music class and they really enjoyed it!

Saturday : 

• Gorgeous day!!!  It hit 85 degrees here!  We started the day on the deck with coffee and placing some Derby day bets on Medina Spirit (given we live in Medina we thought it was lucky)
• I got some stuff done around the house and worked on changing over our checking account as we are making a banking change.  While I did this, Clint helped the Harty's with some landscaping
• I ordered all the adults lunch and took Maci to Target to get a birthday gift for a party she has next weekend.
• We came home and ate before heading to the Harty's side yard for a neighborhood flag football/touch game - we wanted to help Marek and Connor practice for their game this week!
• It was so hot!  Once we ended, the kids put on their suits and all hoped in the recently cleaned/opened/heated Kavanaugh pool!
• The moms enjoyed a cocktail by the pool and complained about the heat HAHA
• I ran home just in time to catch the Derby run and we went nuts when Medina Spirit WON - our $100 bet quickly turned into $1300 - so Cool!!!
• I then got ready for a night out with my pal Amber - we did dinner at Redstone and then drinks at Stanchion - bars close at 11p right now in MN thanks to pandemic so she took me home and joined the neighborhood at the Harty fire
• At 1230a we finally all called it for the night but what a great time!!

Sunday : 

• We all slept in until about 9a, needed some sleep!
• We had some breakfast and then quickly had to get ready for Connor's flag football game and pictures at 11a
• Connor was so much more confident and into it this week, he had a great run and we learned he really likes being the center b/c he likes to Hike it 😂
• We got home, had some lunch and then all took some power naps!
• We have now finished dinner and are about treat the kids to some ice cream at a local parlor
