Purse Bingo & Preparing for Spring Break

Weekdays :

  • Monday - A lot of people are on their spring break this week so I worked from home all week to get some heads down work completed - nothing out of the ordinary on a Monday night - still watching our new show The Americans
  • Tuesday - No soccer after work as Maci's finishing camp it fully complete.  We enjoyed some warmer weather continuing before it starts to change again.
  • Wednesday - Maci had soccer in the evening which Clint ran her to while I was getting some other things done at home.
  • Thursday - After work, I met up with some of our former neighbor ladies from St Louis Park for dinner at Josephine.  We had awesome conversation and so nice to see each other which hadn't happened since pre-pandemic.  After dinner, I came home to help with bedtime and then hit hot tub fun with the Harty's
National Puppy Day
Friday :
  • Good productive day at home for Clint and I
  • Picked the kids up for Maci's Gymnastics - she is amazing, that is all HA!
  • Headed to River Inn afterward for dinner and while we waited, watched the kids play the jumbo Connect 4 outside.  We learned Connor is insanely good and talented at Connect 4 - would see all sorts of diagonal options and was crushing his sister who was a good sport and equally amazed!
  • We enjoyed a yummy dinner!
  • Once home, Clint headed to the Herness' to watch the ISU basketball game with the guys and I started Bridgerton Season 2!
Saturday :
  • Lazy start to the day!  I stayed in bed watching Season 2 of Bridgerton most of the morning while the kids played in their rooms and Clint came and went with a haircut at one point
  • Then around 1p I got ready to head to Purse Bingo with Tena Harty, neighbor
  • Thankfully our other neighbor Kay held us a table because it was INSANE busy!  The bingo didn't start until 2p and when Kay got there at 12p she got us the last table.
  • We had a blast playing Bingo and sipping beers - Tena even won once and got a nice casual Coach bag!
  • We headed home when it was over at 4p and I finished Bridgerton's final episode of season 2
  • We had some BW3 for dinner and then Clint and I spent most of the evening in bed watching The Americans!  Such a nice chill day!
Sunday :
  • A bit more productive!  I started to pack us for spring break along with all the other usual weekend to dos like grocery, laundry etc.
  • Maci went to her neighbor/class pal Livi's house for play/lunch
  • She then had soccer at 2p which Clint ran her to while I did home to dos
  • Connor has been playing with Nash all afternoon and now the kids are all outside playing some basketball in the sun but cold, only 32 COME ON SPRING!
We are getting ready for a short week and then FL weather/sunshine!

Spring Weather Weekend!!

Weekdays :

  • Monday - My team was mainly on PTO for their spring break this week so a quiet calendar day for me which meant getting a lot done!  We had a lazy night at home with the fam too!
More artwork to hang and prove to Maci I did so :)
  • Tuesday - I picked up the kids while Clint went to Nate's going away party from Cargill then I had thought about going to Evereve for a shopping that benefited the PTA but I got tired and Maci didn't really feel like tagging along so we hung at home.
  • Wednesday - After work I headed to a HR networking event, got some great notes.  While I did that, Clint grabbed the kids and ran Maci to soccer.  We met back up at home in time to watch the Wright State Raiders win their play in game for NCAA March Madness!  Right when the game ended, I hopped on a Zoom call with my pal Row.  It was great to catch up with her!
  • Thursday - Happy St Paddy's Day!  I worked from home and at the end of the day was happy to pour a beer.  Clint dyed them for us and used a LOT of food coloring at first!  It was a pretty nice day outside, little chilly, but Tena, Clint and I hung outside drinking beer while the kids played until bed time.  Nate was out of town for work so no hot tub party.
Obligatory St Paddy's day pic before school

I mean they were so Green! HAHA Poor Clint

She lives a rough life and matches the floor :)
Friday :
  • We both worked from home and got a jump start on laundry and decorated for Easter!
  • I had a super productive day which was much needed with things getting a bit busy at work!
  • In the afternoon, I worked from the couch with the basketball games on in the background.
  • It was then time to get Maci and Connor from school and head to gymnastics
  • After gym we went to Sunshine Factory for dinner, pull tabs, drinks and WSU basketball
  • Well they didn't have the WSU game on :( so I had to watch the little box score change but I did win $104 dollars on $20 of pull tabs!
  • We headed home to watch the end of the WSU game and then watched other games in bed before crashing
Our winnings - we are so cool!
Saturday :
  • Mid 50 temps!!!  YES!
  • Started the day with me having my monthly massage at 915a, such a great way to start the day
  • Clint then had his massage around 1145a.
  • I ordered us some lunch and had just a pretty chill day around the house with basketball and some play outside
  • Connor and Clint have been throwing the baseball quite a bit this weekend
  • Then our sitter came at 6p and we were off to a new to us Mexican restaurant with the Harty's and the Herness' crew.  Afterward we had a drink at the Red Rooster across the street and then came back to release the sitter a bit after 9p.  We wrapped the night with a neighborhood bonfire and all made it up Sara and Tammylynne.  Great showing and great laughs!
Sunday :
  • Even better weather - almost hitting 60!  Melt snow melt!
  • Clint and Zac fixed Clint's back up camera on the Pilot while I got household to dos done.
  • Maci had her buddies Harper and Livi from the neighborhood over to play outside.  Connor played with Nash and his other neighbor pal Oliver.
  • I ran to get McDonald's flurries for the whole crew around lunch
  • Maci had to head to soccer around 2p and wasn't super excited b/c she didn't want to stop playing with friends outside
  • Clint is now on his way to pick her up while Connor still plays outside.
  • Groceries are coming soon and we are starting to get prepared for the week but ready for a nice long walk yet this afternoon!  LOVE SEEING SPRING SPRUNG!!!
Livi, Maci and Harper having their treats - too cool girls
Oliver, Connor and Nash enjoying their food on the Harty's driveway
We hope you had a wonderful weekend and are seeing signs of spring as well!
Lots of Love,

Clint's Snow Mobile Trip w. Neighbors & Maci's Soccer Tourney!

Weekdays :

  • Monday - the annual HOA call occurred at 6p but Clint and I totally forgot about it and got the 411 from the neighbors - we were tired from the typical Mondays
Finished Product of a Cloud LED Craft she got for Christmas
So Proud of the End Result
  • Tuesday - International Women's Day!  Also the WSU Raiders (my college) played in the Horizon League championship for basketball and won by 1 point - such a great game and a wonderful 2nd half push!  We are now heading to the dance!
WSU Champions!
  • Wednesday - Clint ran Rosie to the groomer while I was at the office.  Thankfully this time she did not come home looking like a lamb HAHA but she was super soft, like a bath mat again :) Maci then had soccer in the evening which Clint ran her too as I had a busy day at work and stayed a little late to get some things done
  • Thursday - I worked from home and met a HR recruiter contact for coffee in the morning.  Clint then picked up the kids while I finished dinner and wrapping my to do list for the day.  Tena and Nate went out for her birthday dinner so no hot tub but Clint and I started the show "The Flight Attendant" on HBO Max.  Connor also was having a bit of a cold so he laid with me for a bit.
Friday :
  • Clint was off for his snow mobile trip at 8a with the neighborhood guys - they were going to Jim's cabin with Jim, Nate, Clint and Zach.
  • The kids were home for the day as they had no school, who knows why this time.  Thankfully they watched shows and kind of entertained themselves while I got some things done for work from home.
  • We ate an early dinner of Noodles and Co followed by Maci's gymnastics
  • After gym, we headed over to the Harty's to celebrate Tena and her actual birthday!  I brought Crumbly cookies that we had delivered to our house earlier in the day.
  • We both put our kids to bed and then had ladies night with beers in the hot tub - just the 2 of us - super fun!
  • Clint and the guys are having a blast cruising the trails and drinking at bars!
Saturday :
  • I got a few things done around the house in the morning but then started to get the crew ready for Maci's soccer tournament in St Paul - 1st game at 12p but needed to be there 30 mins early.
  • Connor had a bag full of goodies to keep him entertained for 2 back to back games and a total of about 2+ hours at the fields.
  • Game 1 was a 4-1 win with Maci having some nice passing
  • Game 2 was a super tight 1-0 win with Maci having the only goal!  It was such a sweet move.  The goalie for Minnetonka kept taking kind of weak goal kicks.  Maci was mid fielder on the parents side line and I said "Maci attack the ball."  The goalie kicked it soft again and Maci just shot out of a cannon past the defender and stuck one foot on it as hard as she could and BAM into the back of the net!  Maci ran right to me on the sideline yelling "and that was my left foot mom!"  She was so proud and I was pumped for her, she gave me a high five and lined back up for kick off.  Maci's team's defense played outstanding and this was a very good Minnetonka team but Fusion held them off and once again went 2-0 in this tourney.  They celebrated Charlie's birthday a day early with cupcakes and then we all made the long drive back home from St Paul!
  • Once home, I watched the rest of "The Flight Attendant", Connor had Nash over to play and Maci relaxed with her phone.
  • We ordered Famous Dave's for dinner, got in jammies and then popped popcorn before turning on "Turning Red" on Disney+ in. my room for a movie night.  I fell asleep near the end, I am becoming my mom HA and Maci got mad at me, just like I would get mad at my mom!  I put the kids to bed and went back to bed myself at like 930p :)
  • Ps - Clint continues to have a blast on the trip was random text from bars along the trails :)
Pre Game Cuddles
Post Game Cupcakes!
Clint loved all the bald eagles they could see from Jim's Cabin's backyard
Sunday :
  • Everyone woke up kind of crabby - maybe b/c subconsciously we all know we lost an hour?!
  • I tried to get a lot of the to dos done around the house, Maci and Connor didn't want to get dressed and watched "Turning Red" again.
  • They all finally got moving and I ran Maci to soccer at 2p - on Connor and my way back we saw Clint had just gotten home so now we can tag team again the rest of the weekend!
  • It is sunny and 40s here today so we are likely to take a nice walk at some point and likely hop in the hot tub post kids bedtime - Clint says he is stiff from all the riding on the snow mobile :)
Rosie getting some fresh air and enjoying the views!
We are so excited for warmer temps this week (some mid 50s!) - bring on spring and longer days!
Lots of Love,

Maci made a Who Day helmet on her coloring page at dinner
Saturday
  • We ran to Yo Yo Donuts as a family to start the day - yummy!
  • The boys then had haircuts
  • Maci went over to her pal Livi's house in the neighborhood
  • Clint and I got a lot done around the house - groceries, laundry etc
  • After the kids went to bed, Clint and I headed over to the Jonas house for a redo of the neighborhood holiday party that never occurred thanks to COVID outbreaks
  • We had lots of laughs and a very boy vs girl party with the guys hanging around the table and the girls chatting it up in the kitchen
Sunday :
  • Last night there was a dumping of 3 inches of super heavy snow
  • I slept in, thanks Clint, in an effort to kick this head cold non sense.  Clint then plowed the driveway and walk way while I got the kids set on their weekend homework.
  • Maci is now off to Soccer followed by Livi coming to our house to play for a bit
  • While she does that, Connor is catching up on his current fav show Bluey in the basement
  • I am about to open a book for some R&R and Clint is enjoying some rest himself - we love a good lazy Sunday!!
We are hoping to start seeing spring but it looks like it could still be a few weeks out for us!!  Here's to longer days and hopefully warmer temps soon.
Lots of Love,
