Easter 2022!

Weekdays :

  •  Monday - The kids were still off school - longest spring break ever - but headed to Wayzata Kids for the day.  I headed into the office and Clint worked from home.  Our windows finally started to get installed but we ran into a bit of an issue with some moisture problems around the stucco on the front of the house.  All the ones put in on the sides or back of the house look awesome so we say some prayers this front of the house stuff gets figured out shortly and as reasonably as possible!  Clint picked up the kids from camp so that Maci could get to her first outdoor soccer practice of the season on time.  I headed there a little early to watch some of their practice before taking her home.
  • Tuesday - Back to school!  Maci had her first Girls on the Run practice after school and loved it!  I had a hair apt after work so the kids and Clint were on their own for dinner.  We all met up come evening time and enjoyed some Americans before bed.
  • Wednesday - Another day in the office for me followed by a work dinner to welcome a new hire to our leadership team.  Got home late from dinner but thankfully Clint had every thing well taken care of on the home front so we could watch some Americans and call it a day.
  • Thursday - We both worked from home and Maci had her 2nd Girls on the Run practice.  She was supposed to have another outdoor soccer practice on the turf at Wayzata High School but given it was barely 30 and snowy they cancelled - is spring weather ever going to show up and stay?!  We wrapped the night with hot tub party with the Harty's but we sat through blizzard like conditions at one point with high winds and stupid snow flakes - seriously go away cold weather!
Friday
  • Another work from home day for both of us and I was super motivated and productive!
  • Maci had another Sing 2 musical practice after school and she is really enjoying an activity that isn't athletic in nature.
  • We picked the kids up and headed to Maci's gymnastics
  • After gymnastics we had dinner at River Inn
  • All kids crashed in the car on the way home and then Clint and I ended the evening with The Americans.
Saturday :
  • We started the day with Clint taking Rosie to the vet for her annual shots and heart meds
  • While Clint was doing that, the kids and I headed to Hamel Community Center/Park for an Easter egg hunt.  It was a little bit chaotic but we still had a good time, even if I was freezing and could barely feel my fingers in my gloves by the end UGH
  • We ordered some lunch at home while Clint went to his monthly massage
  • I got laundry and a lot of to dos done around the house as well as purchasing a plane ticket to my Grandma's celebration of life in June.
  • I took a brief nap on the couch and then got ready for date night with Clint.
  • We headed to the mall to get Clint some new jeans and then headed to COV for dinner.
  • After dinner we decided to head home vs bowling or getting drinks and then went over to the Harty's for a neighbor fire.  We tried to squeeze in an episode of our show but I crashed hard after helping the Easter bunny get set up.

Sunday
  • Happy Easter!!!
  • The kids got us up too early - Maci tried to tell Connor it wasn't 7a yet but of course hearing kids at 6 something am still starts to wake you up!  We finally went down and let them find their baskets and eggs at 7a.  Clint and I drank a lot of coffee.
  • We were lazy around the house most of the morning before doing the usual Easter festivities ending with brunch at Birch's around 12p.
  • Once home, I climbed into bed and took a 2.5 hour nap!  I was so spent!  Clint joined for a bit of it but he won't nap as long as I do.
  • Now that I am up and moving, we are getting groceries done, Maci is doing her math homework and we are getting ready for another week of school, work and sports!
