Friday
  • Last day of camp for Maci so we dropped her off as a family after having some bagels.
  • I picked her up at 345p and we grabbed some fruit on the way home for our evening party.
  • At 5p we headed to my co-worker KK's house for some yummy food and conversation with other co-workers and their kiddos.  It was a hot evening but the kids had a blast.  We headed home around 8p and got the kids settled before taking a nice evening walk with a drink.
Saturday :
  • Busy Day!
  • Connor had his Hamel baseball Jamboree which meant a double header with the national anthem and their names being announced when they came out to bat.  Clint had to take Connor b/c I was with Maci soccer.  Thankfully Clint took a video of him being called out "Connor the Chainsaw Mondell!"  HAHA. He had a great time!
  • Maci had her 4v4 Fusion Fest tournament.  They were the Skittles until they changed their name to the Zittles b/c Maci said I did bad S's with the electric tape.  Either way they were adorable.  They had 0 subs and played so amazing - we were so proud!!
    • Game 1 - They played the Red Pandas - part of the Academy 1 team with the best players on there and they held them to a 2-2 tie.  Went through a 2 minute OT and kept it 2-2 and then went to shoot outs where they unfortunately lost BUT holy cow!!!
    • Game 2 - They played the other half of their own team "the Minions" and again no subs for our girls and they got down 0-3 at one point.  Maci clicked into killer mode and made 2 goals back to back and started screaming - LETS GO!!  She is my daughter HA!  They ended up taking it to 4-4, all the parents were having a blast watching our girls battle!  They took it to a 2 min OT where the other team scored and then the rain poured having the game called with 1:15 left in OT.  Unfortunately that means they lost again BUT again HOLY COW!
    • Game 3 - They played 1/2 of the Academy 1 u10 so an age up!!!  They got crushed but we were so proud of them and told them how great they hung after 3 games, no subs, hot and rain, and playing the top team of an age older!!!
  • We came home to rest and enjoy the afternoon!
  • Our whole crew got up and rolling and headed to River Inn for a lovely dinner and then home to chill for the evening!

  • After they drop me, Clint and the kids have plans to do yard work, eat dinner at Applebee's and watch the new Buzz Lightyear movie at the theatre - FUN!
  • I come back tomorrow evening after the celebration/luncheon.  I am going to hit some Indian Lake bars with my family this late afternoon evening so will be good to have quality time with all of them.

1st Week of Summer Fun - New Nanny Kristy, Football Camp & Happy Father's Day!

Weekdays :

  • Monday - The Mondell's were still here and Clint took PTO for the day.  I headed into the office while Clint and his dad took Connor to his first day of Football camp.  No tackle just touch football and learning fundamentals with his buddy Brooks.  We enjoyed some yummy ribs, corn and baked beans for dinner along with ice cream sandwiches!
  • Tuesday - Kristy starts!!  Our nanny for the summer Mon-Thurs started with us!  The kids had a blast with her and with the Mondell's last day, Clint was still around too.  Connor had football camp again around lunch time and then we all headed to Connor's baseball game at 515p - whoah it was hot!!  Afterward, we had some brats for dinner and then got some good sleep.

  • Wednesday - Clint and I both headed into the office shortly after Kristy arrived.  The Mondell's left a little later in the morning for their drive home.  Connor had another day of football camp and then in the evening Connor had a birthday party for Hendricks with putt putt golf.  While they were at the birthday party, Maci and I were in St Michael for a soccer game.  She did great and had the first goal in a 3-0 win.  We then enjoyed some River Inn dinner before heading home.  I had a bad headache so got home and crashed!
Putt Putt Fun & Ice Cream Cake!
  • Thursday - Connor had his final day of football camp.  In the evening, Clint ran Connor to a baseball game and I took Maci to another soccer game - she hustled like crazy in a 2-1 W.  Connor had some great hits in his game and we all met up for some good food and drink at Sunshine Factory afterward.  We then crashed for the night vs doing any bags or hot tub - it had been a busy and hot week!

  • On Fridays we are all home and nanny free - love our slower summer Fridays
  • Clint met with the Wayzata school on active shooter protocols and then made us some breakfast.

  • I took a quick nap in the later afternoon - Yay!
  • I then headed to Lone Spur to meet up with former colleagues Megan and John for Happy Hour!
  • While I was gone, Clint and the kids did baseball pictures and then ate BBQ at the VFW with our neighbors the Pinkerton's - YuM!

Saturday:

  • The Harty's went camping so we were watching Fred who needs to get up and take a walk at 7a so we started the day walking Fred and Rosie.
  • We came back home for some breakfast and a nap.
  • Clint then had a massage while I ran Connor to Remy's birthday party at a local park, Maci in tow.
  • We headed home afterward and I took another nap :) getting caught up on needed sleep!
  • We then went over to the Harty pool for a quick swim.
  • After swimming, we ran to Kobe for dinner and while at our hibachi table another family joined and Connor says "HI JANETTA" - it was little Janetta from his class.  Turns out she has a lil crush on Connor and it was adorable watching her swoon over his clueless lil boy self all dinner.
  • Afterward we decided to get some Honey Mackie ice cream and guess who we run into, the same family!!  HAHA - we ate outside with them, seem like a real nice family and Janetta is a doll!  We exchanged numbers for a play date then headed home.
  • I started to watch some TV and Clint walked over around 930 to the Herness driveway for a fire with the neighbors.
Cuties with Ice Cream

  • HAPPY FATHERS DAY!
  • Another early morning walk with Fred and Rosie and then got groceries ordered and a few other to dos before waking the kids at 915a

  • The Harty's, Herness' and Mondell's all swam for a little over 2 hours before calling it so we could all get a few more things done at home and prepare for our respective Father Day dinners.

School's Out for Summer!!!!

What a fun week!!

Weekdays:

  • Monday - Clint headed to the airport early for a trip to Rhode Island - conference and connecting with his new hire.  After work, I ran the kids to Maci's soccer practice.  Connor and I finished our wonderful McDonalds dinner :) and then played at the park for a bit to kill time.
  • Tuesday - Early pick up for the kids!  We had to miss Connor's baseball game b/c just too much going on with Clint out of town.  We grabbed some dinner and then were off to Maci's soccer game out in Shakopee (30 min drive).  The game was at 645p and they tied 2-2 against a super tough team who has beat them in the past!  We then had Maci's bi-annual evaluation with the coach before heading home nice and late, 9p.
  • Wednesday - I started my day by volunteering at Maci's 3rd grade party.  I worked the bubble station with 3 other moms and the girls were dainty while the boys were diving into the bubble pools HA.  I treated myself to a bagel afterward for all the craziness!  We hung outside with the neighbors in the evening and the kids played, gorgeous night!  Love having these occasional free evenings!

Maci at Bubble Fun
  • Thursday - LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!  Clint got home nice and early, 830a arrival!  Another gorgeous day and around lunch we filled up some water balloons for the kiddos arrival from the bus.  At 240p they arrived and we pelted them with water balloons and water guns.  The kids had a blast! I then dipped out of work a little early and headed to the park with Tena and the kids for the neighborhood last day of school party.  We had to cut out early b/c we had a busy evening.  Connor had baseball game at 515p.  I got to see all of his hits but then had to scoot with Maci to her 640p game.  The boys followed after Connor's game ended.  Maci's team crushed the other team about 10-0.  We headed home and the adults started to play cornhole until the Mondell's arrived a little after 10p.  The kids waited up until they got here but then all crashed!

Saturday :
  • Early morning with Maci's soccer tournament - 8a first game.  It was rough - they lost about 0-6.
  • We headed to brunch as a team in between games and the girls had a blast as did the mommas with mimosas and dads with the bloody Marys HA
  • We got to game 2 and the sun was really shining, the light sunburn on many of us shows that was the case.  Unfortunately it was another rough game for the Fusion girls.  We lost 0-4, hung really close 0-1 till the end when they were just exhausted and hot.
  • We headed home afterward and took some naps before getting up and heading to Black Sheep Pizza for dinner in downtown.  Then over to St Paul for the St Paul Saints game.  The kids were SO in to it!  Especially Connor who kept telling me the pitch count, cheering for good plays etc.  We saw an awesome game 11-7 on a gorgeous night!  Yet another late night for the kiddos, by the time we got home it was midnight.
How cute are these girlies watching Soccer?!

Beautiful game night!
Sunday :
  • No rest for the weary HA we were up and at 'em for Clint, Kathy and Jack to head with Connor to his flag football game - they were out the door a little after 830a
  • I was able to get some stuff done around the house before Maci and I had to leave at 930a for her final game - thankfully a way different outcome with a 4-0 win!
  • Clint and his parents headed to Oak Eatry with Connor for lunch and kindly brought me home take out.
  • While they were at lunch, I ran Maci, Taylor and Teagan to the team pool party at Charlie's home.
  • I got back and had about 2 hours to get all the weekend stuff done so I was moving around the house non stop before heading to happy hour with my pal Laura on Rush Creek patio at 330p.
  • Right before I left, Maci got dropped off by Teagan's mom from the pool party.  She hung on her iPad b/c the boys were all at the movie theatre watching the new Top Gun.
  • I got home around 530p and was chatting with Maci when the boys walked in - Connor said he actually really liked the movie and only one moment scared him :) CUTE!
  • We all then hung out and ordered Mexican dinner for delivery as we all didn't feel like heading back out.  We had some fun on the deck and enjoyed our dinner.
  • I ended the evening with a bath and the kids got to bed at a decent time.
