School Year is Wrapping Up!!!

Weekdays:

• Monday - Wahoo Memorial Day!!  We got a lot done but also had some relaxation!  Dang we love a good long weekend!  There was some rain but also pockets of good weather!
• Tuesday - Connor got to have his Kindergarten Field Trip to the Sculpture Garden.  Maci had another session of Girls on the Run after school and then the whole family hit the baseball fields for Connor's 645p game against the Rangers.  Unfortunately it was a bit chilly and we were counting down the time until it ended.

• Wednesday - We both went into our respective offices for the day.  Clint managed both kiddos to Maci's 545p soccer practice while I went to dinner with my business leader Francois and our business' chief of staff Kelly who was in town from TN.  It was a great long dinner on a chilly patio but we refuse to not embrace June!
• Thursday - A fun day at the office as we had a tech town hall, social event afterward and then ate lunch as a team!  I love having days where I see so many people!  Maci had her final girls on the run practice pre-5k.  Then Connor had a 515p baseball game and thankfully the weather was way better!  I met the family there since I was coming from the office and it takes a little longer.  No hot tub party as Nate was coming back in town late at night from a work trip.

Friday : 

• We both worked from home and they finally finished the stucco work and all the exterior painting.  Now we just need the new window trim painted and all the exterior and interior paint touched up post new windows!!
• Shortly after sending the kids to school I got a call that Connor was just feeling off and so I left to pick him up - when I got there he was complaining about his ear.  He fell asleep in the car but then woke up crying about his ear - poor guy!  I got him down for a nap and then he puked all over his bed - UGH!  He napped for a few hours on the couch and then around the time Maci and the other kids got off the bus, he was back to feeling himself - thank goodness!!!
• Clint ran Rosie to the groomer around 3p and we found out that she had gotten too long again and was going to need the borderline shaving UGH!  But we now know how frequently we should have her groomed so we can hopefully avoid this in the future.
• After dropping off Rosie, Clint came and grabbed both kids so Maci could go to a 345p birthday party at the way cool cooking school where they learned to make spaghetti and cupcakes!
• Clint had to take both kids b/c I was off to happy hour at COV on Lake Minnetonka with my former co-workers Lisa and Jean.  We had a great night of catching up and finally called it around 9p

Saturday :

• Up an at 'em for the big Girls on the Run 5k!  Maci ran in the 1030a heat but we had to get there in time to get bibs, find the team, park etc.  Clint was Maci's running buddy and she had a blast!!  Maci actually finished about 2 mins before Clint and was flying - she told us she wasn't even really that tired so maybe she would try to go faster in the future!
• We headed to Oak Eatry for lunch afterward and while there we realized Wright State Baseball was in their 2nd game of the college World Series bracket.  The kids got really into watching the game on my phone.
• Once home, we kept watching it on TV and after being up 9-4 at one point, they unfortunately suffered a heart breaking loss 11-9 to Gonzaga - I kind of snoozed while watching this on the couch.
• We got some stuff done around the house and then started to get ready for the night!  Clint and I had date night and were heading to Jimmy's for yummy steak dinner followed by a few drinks at Momma G's.  While at Momma G's we ran into our good buddy and my former co-worker Danny!  So fun to see him and meet his new girlfriend!
• We then popped home around 930p after we knew the kids were asleep.  We got changed and headed to the Harty's for a neighborhood bonfire!  So Fun!  We finally called it at 1230a b/c woah I need sleep HA!

Post Race Excitement!

Sunday : 

• Lazy Morning!!!  Everyone slept until at least 830a and Clint and I didn't move until 9a.  I think I finally started to drink coffee around 10a.
• We then started to tackle a nice long to do list for the day.  Clint ran Connor to flag football practice at 2p and Maci and I joined after for the game that started at 3p.  Unfortunately they suffered their 2nd loss of the season but it was hot on that turf!
• Afterward, Clint headed home with Connor to get more to do list items complete.  Maci and I were off to Trader Joes to get some needs for my Charcuterie board making class with our Human Capital team on Tuesday over lunch.
• We are now enjoying LaRosa's meatball hoagies for dinner before having our new neighbors over to see our house and then wrapping the evening with some ice cream and a neighborhood walk.  We sure do love the weekends!!

The kids are fired up for a final week of school!!  They only have M-Th and Nanny & Grandpa Mondell get here on Thursday, last day of school for a weekend of kiddo sporting events!  Yay Summer Fun!
