Busy Fall Continues w. Dave Chappelle & Connor Lands Autographs at Twins Game!

Weekdays:

  • Monday - Nice evening!  Clint and I decided to go together to the kid practice running.  We first dropped Connor at his practice at 6p.  We then ran Maci to hers at 630p.  We came back over to Connor's and enjoyed a walk on the trails until he wrapped at 7p.  The three of us then headed to Maci's and walked the trails at that field until they wrapped around 730p, it is starting to get dark way earlier.
  • Tuesday - I had a team happy hour to wrap the work day so Clint and the kids headed to the flag football field and I met them there right before the game started.  We were playing one of our friend's kid, Luke, which made the game extra special.  Connor sure does love playing and he is becoming quite the little blocker and Safety :)
  • Wednesday - I had a crazy busy day so thankfully Clint ran Maci to and from practice at East Middle school while I got work accomplished.
  • Thursday - Another one of those divide and conquer kind of nights.  Clint ran Connor to Flag Football and I ran Maci to soccer practice.  While Maci had practice, I ran to a local Starbucks and worked from their patio.  We have been having wonderful fall weather!
Working on Fantasy Football over Breakfast
Friday :
  • Busy work morning for me at home but then ran to a hair apt at 1p.  It is so nice that I can multi task and get appointments like this in on a Friday while also keeping up on email/calls etc from the chair!
  • I got home around 4p and did a bit more work until Clint picked up pizzas and salads.
  • We spent the evening watching college football
Saturday:
  • Clint started the day with an 8a massage while I continued to catch up on sleep
  • Clint then had a haircut at 920a, getting all the to dos done early
  • Maci had gymnastics from 10-1130a - I ran her there in my sweats and Clint's flip flops HA - rolled right out of bed to that one
  • Once home I got Connor ready for the Twins game with his buddy Chuck.  They had awesome seats so were bringing balls for autographs and gloves for potential foul balls down the 1st base line
  • Connor got picked up around 1030a and then Clint and I enjoyed college football and computer clean up stuff - bill pay, emails etc. with only a quick pause to pick up Maci at 1130a
  • It was a nice slow afternoon and wildly productive
  • Around 5p I started to get ready as we had tickets to Dave Chappelle in St Paul at 730 but needed to get there around 6p.  Our sitter showed at 530p and only hung with Maci since Connor was having dinner with Chuck and his family.
  • I guess the kids got Kaitlin to get out the tattoos and they went to town HAHA - check out the pics!
  • We loved Dave and got home around 12a after sitting in a garage and traffic which ultimately took 1 hour and 30 mins to get home, not the most fun part!

Sunday :
  • Clint and I took a walk to start the day after the overnight rain finally had stopped.
  • We then got ready for Maci's soccer game at 12p
  • The girls played great and had another 3-1 victory in gorgeous weather!
  • We rolled home to order some lunch and get all our to dos done while NFL was on in the background.
  • Clint's Dolphins CRUSHED it while the Vikings went 0-3, dang I hope the Bengals don't do that tomorrow!
  • Maci and I took a quick trip to Target as a treat for her being such a great gal of late!
  • We are now wrapping our weekend with some NFL and final week prep.
Both kids are in bed but don't have school tomorrow, teacher in service type day - Good luck to Clint at home working with them :). We hope you are also having a wonderful fall season!
Lots of Love,

Work Trip to Houston and Busy Sports Weekend!

Weekdays:
  • Monday - 22nd Anniversary of September 11th, never forget!  I worked from home along with Clint as half my peers are either on PTO or in India for a work trip, plus I leave EARLY the next day for a work trip to Houston.  This allowed me to have a super productive day.  Both kids had soccer practice in the evening but I managed Maci's later practice so that I had time to pack for Houston.  I then got to walk a bit with one of the moms, Jenny.
  • Tuesday - My flight took off at 7:07a which meant I was up and at 'em at 445a.  I had a very nice smooth and easy flight into Houston.  I took a quick Uber to the hotel and then did some work before walking to get some lunch and then taking a super quick nap ahead of our tour of the recently acquired Kelsey Seybold medical facility.  We enjoyed a BBQ dinner after our tour and then early bed time since I was exhausted.  On the home front, Connor and team had a Flag Football game but they had a tough loss - something about those Tuesday games is getting them!
Chilly Tuesday for these kiddos while I was in Houston with 95 temps
  • Wednesday - Another offsite in Houston for me.  Rosie had a grooming apt and b/c this one had to be a bit further out than we desire, she got shaved - poor little naked lamb dog HA  I had another team dinner out at a Mexican restaurant - yum!  While I was out, Clint ran Maci to and from her soccer practice.

  • Thursday - Last day of meetings, ugh I was tired - sleeping in a hotel is never as great as you would want!  We were supposed to leave at 430p from Houston but our flight got delayed and then cancelled due to maintenance.  Thankfully I was able to rebook to a 730p direct flight.  That got me in at 10p but then not home until 11p, ugh so tired but glad to be home!!!  While I was dealing with travel woes, Connor and his team crushed the competition in another Flag Football game.

Friday
  • We got up and saw the kids off on the bus
  • We then took a walk in the drizzle rain
  • I looked like such a mess between how tired I was and the drizzly rain - such a lovely look working at home!
  • I had a super productive day as did Clint and then met the kids at the bus stop at 239p
  • Maci had her buddy Livi over to make cupcakes while we both finished working
  • We ordered pizza, Clint worked out and then Clint and I took an evening walk
  • Watched some college football and called it a night
Saturday :
  • Started the day with a walk
  • Got home and ran Maci to her 10a gymnastics
  • While I was dropping her, Clint took Connor to Target for snacks for his soccer game
  • I ran Connor to his game at 1130a while Clint picked up Maci from gymnastics at the same time.
  • Connor scored 2 goals before Clint and Maci got there.  He ended up scoring 3 and assisting about that many in a 8-0 W for the good guys.
  • We hustled home for some Chick Fil A lunch and changing.
  • Before we knew it, we were back off to Maci's game out in Lakeville at 315p
  • Those girls looked great and won 3-1!
  • We hustled home to change again and this time we were off to our church festival at Holy Name.
  • Maci met up with some friends and Connor won a whistle, Halloween tattoos, and an inflatable microphone - treasurers HA
  • We hauled out of there around 730p and got to Hamel park right around 8p for the Medina city celebration fireworks.
  • Once home, Clint watched the Toledo game (recorded) and Connor and I watched the Colorado game (such a fun team!) before all falling asleep!

Sunday
  • Not near the busy day!
  • We had mass at 1030a and hustled home in time to put groceries away and tune into the 12p games.
  • My Bengals continue to cause me to scratch my head this year!  But nothing a beer and some errands wont help me to forget :)
  • Clint did some yard work while I put away laundry and prepared for the week.
  • We are getting ready to have some pizza balls and cheese bread for dinner while enjoying the Dolphins night game.
So Festive & So Disappointing!
Hope you are enjoying this fun fall time!

Labor Day, Back to School + Sports, Sports & More Sports!

Last Sunday
We won $250 in Pull Tabs After Church
So we had dessert, naturally ;-)
Weekdays
:

  • Monday - It was a HOT Labor Day!  We got some stuff done around the house and then headed to the Harty's around 1p for some swimming and chilling.  We wrapped late in the afternoon in time for everyone to make their dinners, pack book bags and get to bed at a good time.  We were having such a nice day that we completely forgot about Connor's soccer practice at 6p - whoops!
  • Tuesday - Happy 1st day of school!!!  The kids were all so excited to get ready and to see Mr Mike on the bus.  They said they had great days and are so happy to be riding the bus home vs doing after school care.  I got home in time to take Maci to Connor's Flag football practice/game - Clint and Connor were already on their way there.  They lost a tight one 21-14 but dang if Connor didnt focus and kept a great demeanor throughout the whole game - proud of that stud!  Clint got home in time to get one of his fantasy drafts complete.

  • Wednesday - Another great day of school/work followed by a quick happy hour for me with my coworker Jillian.  I then headed to Maci's soccer practice b/c I was pick up after Clint had dropped off.  We had a nice chat about school on the drive home and once home, Clint was doing 2 fantasy drafts at the same time HA
Connor's Class
  • Thursday - Clint and I both worked from home.  Maci and I ran up to the uniform exchange for her soccer program at 5p.  We got her some new shorts as her original ones are TINY!  While we were at it we decided to grab 2 pairs of blue and white socks.  We hustled home so Clint and I could head with Connor to his 2nd flag football game.  Maci got to hang at home for a bit and go to/from soccer practice with Quinn Eull's family.  Connor's team did way better this night and won like 27-0.  We got home and sat down to watch the Thursday night game.  Super fun to hear of Joe's contract and watch the Chiefs lose by 1 at home :)

Love these boys

Friday
  • We both worked from home again and had super productive days
  • I took a break from work around the time the bus was arriving, gorgeous day outside.  The kids were excited to see me outside and I got to catch up with our neighbor Allison who was also there.
  • Maci went to the park to hang with her gal pals from the 'hood for a bit.
  • We ordered pizza as an early dinner because we had to hustle up to the High school for the football game.  It was youth night and all the youth football teams got to take the field ahead of the game, high five the players and listen to the National Anthem with them.  It was super cute!
  • Connor had a blast with all his little buddies and Maci enjoyed walking the stadium with her gal pals, they were like mini teenagers!
  • Unfortunately the Wayzata Trojans lost by 1 when the other team went for 2 and got it to beat them vs tying it up :(

The cool gals :)
Saturday :
  • Started the day with Connor's first soccer game at 9a.  He had a huge goal from outside the penalty box and their team won like 15-1.  It got to the point where they had to tell them not to kick the ball past a certain line.
  • Clint left a little early with Maci as she had her first gymnastics class for the season with her pal Aanya.  I got some stuff done around the house and then went to get her at 1130a
  • Once home, Maci met up with her pal Livi at the neighborhood park for a bit
  • I took a nap on the couch during the OSU game and Clint laid grass seed
  • Clint wrapped in time for his Toledo game and Maci got home in time to go hang with her pal Rowan for a few hours.
  • Around 5p we started to get ready for the MN United FC Soccer game with our pals the Hintze and Stengel families (soccer peeps)
  • The MN team kept taking shots but couldn't get them to fall - we were losing 0-1 until the final seconds when our goalie pulled all the way up on a corner kick.  He got a foot on it after the kick and passed to our forward who put it in - GOAL!!!  We ended up tying 1-1 with the game ending seconds later.  It was super fun!

Sunday :
  • We took the dogs for a walk and enjoyed some coffee.  I got groceries ordered, laundry moving etc and before we knew it we had to leave for Maci's soccer game.
  • She had a game at 1230p in Chaska.  We played CC United and lost 0-1.  It was such a great and intense game!  The other team only scored the 1 with about 5 mins left in the game and unfortunately it actually came off the foot of our defender attempting to clear it out but hit the corner of the goal.  The girls kept their heads high and Maci was all smiles after having a great personal game as well.
  • We hurried home as I watched the Bengals on my phone.  While I was watching on the phone we were losing but only like 3-0 or 10-0.  I got home and the wheels came off the bus with the Bengals ultimately losing 3-24 (YUCK!)
  • Now we are enjoying the Dolphins game and getting everything prepared for the week.
We hope you all have a wonderful week ahead!  I am off to Houston for a few days with work and Clint will hold down the fort with week 2 of school.
Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C
