Work Trip to Houston and Busy Sports Weekend!

Weekdays:
  • Monday - 22nd Anniversary of September 11th, never forget!  I worked from home along with Clint as half my peers are either on PTO or in India for a work trip, plus I leave EARLY the next day for a work trip to Houston.  This allowed me to have a super productive day.  Both kids had soccer practice in the evening but I managed Maci's later practice so that I had time to pack for Houston.  I then got to walk a bit with one of the moms, Jenny.
  • Tuesday - My flight took off at 7:07a which meant I was up and at 'em at 445a.  I had a very nice smooth and easy flight into Houston.  I took a quick Uber to the hotel and then did some work before walking to get some lunch and then taking a super quick nap ahead of our tour of the recently acquired Kelsey Seybold medical facility.  We enjoyed a BBQ dinner after our tour and then early bed time since I was exhausted.  On the home front, Connor and team had a Flag Football game but they had a tough loss - something about those Tuesday games is getting them!
Chilly Tuesday for these kiddos while I was in Houston with 95 temps
  • Wednesday - Another offsite in Houston for me.  Rosie had a grooming apt and b/c this one had to be a bit further out than we desire, she got shaved - poor little naked lamb dog HA  I had another team dinner out at a Mexican restaurant - yum!  While I was out, Clint ran Maci to and from her soccer practice.

  • Thursday - Last day of meetings, ugh I was tired - sleeping in a hotel is never as great as you would want!  We were supposed to leave at 430p from Houston but our flight got delayed and then cancelled due to maintenance.  Thankfully I was able to rebook to a 730p direct flight.  That got me in at 10p but then not home until 11p, ugh so tired but glad to be home!!!  While I was dealing with travel woes, Connor and his team crushed the competition in another Flag Football game.

Friday
  • We got up and saw the kids off on the bus
  • We then took a walk in the drizzle rain
  • I looked like such a mess between how tired I was and the drizzly rain - such a lovely look working at home!
  • I had a super productive day as did Clint and then met the kids at the bus stop at 239p
  • Maci had her buddy Livi over to make cupcakes while we both finished working
  • We ordered pizza, Clint worked out and then Clint and I took an evening walk
  • Watched some college football and called it a night
Saturday :
  • Started the day with a walk
  • Got home and ran Maci to her 10a gymnastics
  • While I was dropping her, Clint took Connor to Target for snacks for his soccer game
  • I ran Connor to his game at 1130a while Clint picked up Maci from gymnastics at the same time.
  • Connor scored 2 goals before Clint and Maci got there.  He ended up scoring 3 and assisting about that many in a 8-0 W for the good guys.
  • We hustled home for some Chick Fil A lunch and changing.
  • Before we knew it, we were back off to Maci's game out in Lakeville at 315p
  • Those girls looked great and won 3-1!
  • We hustled home to change again and this time we were off to our church festival at Holy Name.
  • Maci met up with some friends and Connor won a whistle, Halloween tattoos, and an inflatable microphone - treasurers HA
  • We hauled out of there around 730p and got to Hamel park right around 8p for the Medina city celebration fireworks.
  • Once home, Clint watched the Toledo game (recorded) and Connor and I watched the Colorado game (such a fun team!) before all falling asleep!

Sunday
  • Not near the busy day!
  • We had mass at 1030a and hustled home in time to put groceries away and tune into the 12p games.
  • My Bengals continue to cause me to scratch my head this year!  But nothing a beer and some errands wont help me to forget :)
  • Clint did some yard work while I put away laundry and prepared for the week.
  • We are getting ready to have some pizza balls and cheese bread for dinner while enjoying the Dolphins night game.
So Festive & So Disappointing!
Hope you are enjoying this fun fall time!
Lots of Love,
