Amazing weather for February!!

Weekdays:

  • Monday - We are in that boring time of year with no football, our sports are kind of in between seasons - soccer is just practices/training, basketball is over and baseball hasnt started and typically it is COLD and snowy but not this year!!!  We were sunny and 40s most of the week which allowed the kids to get a lot of fresh air :) The kids enjoyed the day off from school, president's day, while Clint and I had productive days.  Maci had her training and conditioning at night time.
  • Tuesday - Super busy day for me!  Clint ran my car in for regular service, thankfully not too spendy.  It was Noodles & Co night for the kids school (fundraiser) so we did that for dinner and training for Maci from 5-6p.
  • Wednesday - My work was dealing with a security issue in conjunction with our company board meeting.  Connor had his religion class at night.
  • Thursday - Another busy day at work but I was able to take Maci to her soccer practice.  I caught up with work colleagues while waiting for her and listened into a customer call on the security issue on the drive home.  While we were out doing the soccer practice running, Connor got to go to the U of MN basketball game with his buddy Hendrix and they played OSU.  We had to be kind and not dress Connor in head to toe OSU gear and instead he wore his one Gopher sweatshirt.  The boys were super pumped to see a U of MN win!
Goof Balls!
Friday :
  • Clint had some standard bloodwork draw done in the morning and brought home bagels afterward
  • I had a busy morning of meetings but then headed to 6 Smith for lunch with my former coworkers/friends Megan, John and Scott.  It was so great to catch up as Scott recently moved home from a 3 year stint in Europe.  The lunch was such a good mood lifter and then I cranked on work once home from 2-5p
  • Clint picked up Punch Pizza & salads for us for dinner
  • They watched a lot of basketball including the Wolves who had a late 9p tip off and I tried to get things done while watching along.
Saturday:
  • Maci had gymnastics at 10a followed by soccer practice at 1p
  • I ran her to soccer and then got stuff done around the house including a nap and Clint did the rest of the driving for the day with her.
  • I got up from my nap and ran her to a haircut at 330p
  • Once home, I finished getting ready for date night and we met up with our former neighbors the Verplanks.
  • It was our annual fancy dinner out at Manny's, the head chef is the current neighbor of theirs.
  • We had a great meal with wonderful conversation, stopped at their house on the way home for a night cap and some games and then relieved our sitter around 11p.
Harty's were in Denver Skiing for the Weekend
Took these cute pics of their oldest Cael enjoying the mild weather and time with Fred 💗

She loved the finished product, so cute!
Sunday:
  • Slept in and then got right to my to do list, didnt get as much off of it on Saturday thanks to the nap :)
  • Maci had practice again at 10a which Clint ran her to while I took a video call with my pal Jacey.  We landed all the booking plans for our Bahamas spring break trip including spa, golf, kid adventures, dolphin swimming and a cabana on Clint's birthday.  Felt good and exciting to have that all done!
  • I then continued to get things done around here until 230p when Maci and I ran to get pedicures - so fun to do that with her.
  • Clint and Connor played outside together a lot today due to 50 degree temps!  Connor is actually back out there right now after dinner :)
  • I'm a little behind on laundry so I plan to finish that up tonight and I have been wanting to clean my closet.  Clint is watching all the college basketball and Maci is cozy with her iPad.

Team Offsite, End of Basketball Season & Indoor Soccer Games!

Before the Super Bowl last Sunday, Connor & Anna had a Skateboard Lesson
The Older Kids in the Skate Park kept fist bumping them b/c they learned so much in 1 hour!
The Best of Friends!
Weekdays:
  • Monday - Maci had her training in the evening which Clint took her to and then I swung by to pick her up but got there early so I could get some work done.
  • Tuesday - I had my HR team offsite throughout the day.  Clint ran Maci to and from her training at night while I attended our team dinner/happy hour/games at Punch Bowl Social.
The Local HR Team
  • Wednesday - Happy Valentine's Day!  I headed home early after our offsite ended in the early afternoon.  I had a bad headache and wanted to go along to Maci's eye Dr apt.  Thankfully she was all clear for the eye check and the annual well check referral was a flook.  Afterward, we were going to do Applebee's for dinner before Connor's basketball practice but my head was killing me!  Instead we came home, ordered DoorDash and I took a nap!  What a wonderful Valentine's Day Ha!

We both Love Hubbard!
  • Thursday - The kids had no school due to conferences.  I had a busy schedule at work but left to meet Clint at the school for the conferences starting at 420p.  We had Maci first and she rocks!  Her teacher loves how she asks questions, is super open when she doesn't understand, gives it her all and never cuts corners.  We couldn't say it better ourselves and he has 0 concerns on her being able to keep up at Middle School.  Then we went to Connor's - while he is super smart the effort and care is just not there right now.  His teacher said Connor picks and chooses when he cares to participate.  He is always kind and polite but not always in it.  She can tell he is smart but needs to up the focus.  After conferences, Maci had soccer practice.  I took her, worked from the car and then afterward, she got to shop at Target as a reward for such a great conference.  On the other hand, Connor got a mom/dad meeting to talk about how he is going to participate more and try his best at school.
Friday:
  • No school again!
  • Clint and I started the day with a bagel run
  • I got a few meetings out of the way and then had my Dysport apt.
  • I made it home for a few more meetings and finally the wonderful gag gift for my co-worker Nicole arrived.  I got her to stop at my house to pick it up on the way to the airport - she heads to India for the week.  Check out her reaction!
  • I had a few more meetings and then it was time to scoot to Maci's soccer game.
  • They played the top team from our club but the year younger and we tied 0-0!  It was such a great game!  We played hard, smart and had some great shots that didn't fall our way.  These girls are an undefeated squad that are not accustomed to anything but winning and we showed them what was up!  Our coach told the girls that she has known Coach Chad since she was a baby and she has never seen him scared but she saw him scared tonight!  HAHA - I agree, our girls came to play!
  • A few of the families went to Sunshine Factory for a late dinner and drinks afterward.  Such a good crew!
Everything I hoped the gag gift would be and then some!

Oh and her reaction - so good!
Saturday:
  • Up and at 'em with Clint's 8a massage.
  • I was then the one right after him at 915a - so relaxing.
  • While I was getting my massage, Clint ran Maci to her gymnastics lesson.
  • After my massage, I was off to the house to grab Clint and Connor for his final basketball game of the season.
  • Thankfully Anaya's mom was able to take Maci home from gymnastics so we could both be at the game.
  • I was able to live stream it with my mom and dad on the line.
  • Connor was on FIRE as was his team!  We crushed the competition some 60+ points to 4.
  • I am so going to miss watching Connor hoop it up but then there is always next year!  He is also looking to try a 3v3 league for a bit this spring!  He has a bright future in basketball!
  • We grabbed lunch and came home to feed Maci and then run her to soccer practice at 1p.
  • I worked on stuff around the house while Clint played chauffer.
  • Once home, we rested a bit and then Rowan got dropped off at 430p for a slumber party.
  • We went out to eat at Kobe (hibachi) as a family + Rowan at 630p and afterward I ran the girls by Target so they could get some baking supplies for cookies.
  • We came home and Clint/Connor watched basketball, I laid down and the girls baked/played until 12a.
Post Game Interview w. Grandma Janet
Sunday:
  • We all slept in a bit and Maci made her and Rowan eggs for breakfast.
  • Rowan was picked up at 9a and Maci headed off to soccer practice at 10a.
  • Maci complained about her legs being sore for the first time ever today HA but she did have a game, gymnastics and 2 practices all within the last 72 or so hours.  The girl is fierce!
  • Clint took Connor to the indoor batting cages.
  • Maci watched some iPad and I cleaned, got ready for the week.
  • We are all having a chill late afternoon and are ready for another week ahead.
  • Clint gets to enjoy the kids at home one more day tomorrow thanks to President's Day - unfortunately not a holiday for the adults!
We hope you are enjoying these final weeks/months of winter!
Lots of Love,

Sunshine, Derm Apt and Team Fun!

Weekdays:
  • Monday - I had a happy hour with some coworkers because my team member, LaQuanah, was in town from GA.  While I was at happy hour, Maci had her training and conditioning.  I picked her up on my way home.
Crazy 50 Degree Feb weather!
  • Tuesday - I presented at our Tech QBR in the afternoon.  I headed home for a good night sleep as I felt a cold coming on.  Clint ran Maci to and from her training.
  • Wednesday - I had a team dinner at Ciao Bella b/c a few colleagues were in town from India.  Clint and the kids had Chipotle for dinner as it benefited our school PTA.  Then Connor had religion class while Maci got to chill for a night.
Our Crew at Dinner
  • Thursday - I drove home early so that I could take Connor to his dermatology apt to look at the mole on his nose.  Connor has hit the age where he is saying he wants it gone.  Thankfully they believe it looks totally harmless but if he doesn't like it, we can remove.  They gave a referral to plastic surgery just to minimize the chance of scaring.  I will call them on Monday.  I then ran Maci to soccer practice and worked from the car while she was in the dome.
Friday :
  • Productive day working from home for Clint and I
  • The kids got home and were super excited for a weekend and Maci was giddy about her 5th grade fun night later that day!
  • Maci's soccer team had a game that she was going to miss due to the 5th grade party - thankfully they pulled out the W for her 2-1!
  • Maci went over to Livi's for pizza and getting ready ahead of the 5th grade party.
  • They had the party at the school and the girls said their fav part by far was the DJ in the cafe!
  • I was pick up and ran to get them at 8p but stopped at Target first for some Dayquil and Nyquil as my cold is getting worse, not better!
  • Once home, I crashed and Maci told us stories of her fun night!!!  How is elementary school almost over for her?!
Ugh Pre-K Grad to now Elementary Grad

  • Then Clint kindly played driver while I got things done around the house but looked like death.
  • Maci had gymnastics 1000-1130a, then she went to soccer practice 12-1p.
  • We all chilled for a bit and took quick naps before heading out to Connor's b-ball game at 4p.
  • Connor and the entire team was on FIRE in the 3rd quarter.  We stomped the other team some 42-6.
  • Afterward, we drove Colton and Connor to Code Ninja night for the elementary school.  They got to have pizza, brownies and lots of computer, engineering, coding fun!
  • While we were down one kid, Maci, Clint and I went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant and got Cold Stone ice cream on the way home.
  • I was once again in bed by 8p, got to kick this cold, while Connor got dropped off by Colton's parents and the rest of our family was watching college basketball.

Warm Weather, Sports & Birthday Party Fun!

We got some Pro Pictures of Connor's Team on the Court
Such a Fun Experience

Weekdays:

  • Monday - Maci and I headed up to the Middle School right after work for the 6th grade welcome night!  We took a tour, realized her elementary school is so much nicer b/c this is the oldest building in the district HA and we heard the principal speak to us.  She is getting so big and I am excited for her to have this next experience.  We grabbed some ice cream on the way home to celebrate together!
  • Tuesday - I started my day with coffee and meeting Mona, the director of eQuality a non profit that I am now joining the board of!  I have been looking to get involved with board work and this one fell in my lap thanks to my dear friend John, tax leader from Cargill.  His wife is on this board and thought of me when they wanted an HR background to join.  I dealt with an extremely frustrating colleague situation before heading to Maci's training and conditioning.  That was a nice transition for me to hang with her after an annoying coworker moment.  Connor also had basketball practice with Clint at the same times so a busy night for our family.
  • Wednesday - Maci registered for her middle school classes.  Rosie got groomed during the day.  Maci had another training at night that Clint drove to and from because it was pretty early.
  • Thursday - Fairly normal day for all of us and then Maci had soccer practice in the evening with her team.  I picked her up and worked from the car for a bit as I got there pretty early
Friday
  • Very productive day and super nice and sunny!  We have been having crazy warm temps for MN!
  • I took off shortly after the kids got home for a 3p Happy Hour with my coworkers Nicole and Rebecca.
  • After HH, I called my parents on FaceTime to see my brother's new restaurant during their soft opening.
  • I then headed to Stanchion for one more beer with Nicole in our neck of the woods
  • I was home by 730p and then chilled with the kids and Clint while they watched basketball.
Saturday :
  • Connor had a basketball game at 9a and did great!  It was probably the best team we have played yet and they totally held their own.  Connor had some great breakaways per usual and a few great passes plus defensive moves.
  • We then hustled to drop Maci at Gymnastics.
  • Once home, I tried to take a quick nap but couldn't fall asleep so I started getting things done around the house
  • Clint ran Maci to soccer practice and then to Natalie's house for her Birthday party at 3p.
  • The party was at vertical endeavors which was a rock climbing place and then Black Sheep pizza, yum!  Maci then spent the night but was the only pal to do so.
  • While Maci was gone, I got a lot of work done and then Clint, Connor and I went to River Inn for dinner together - Yum!
  • I took a HOT shower, felt cozy and went to bed by like 9p.
The Birthday Crew
We are so proud of Maci, each year she goes to this party with all Natalie's school pals
She barely knows anyone but has a blast and typically makes a few new friends
Our beloved extrovert 💖
Sunday :
  • Clint picked up Maci at 915a and then dropped her at her soccer practice at 10a.
  • I got up and at 'em on the to do list for both work and personal.
  • Clint then ran to the First Communion parent meeting for us while I kept knocking off the to do list.
  • Connor headed over to his buddy Anders' house in the neighborhood to play in the afternoon while Maci hung outside with some of the neighbors by our house - another sunny and 40 something degree day!
  • Clint and I took a walk in the hood with the dogs around 430p and picked up Connor on the way back home.  He happily walked his fav, Boomer, while Clint carried his sports & pokemon card books.
  • We had some dinner, did our showers/baths and are now enjoying the Grammys with Maci - she sure loves her artists :)
We hope you are having a very nice mild winter like we are!
Lots of Love,
