Mondells in Minneapolis: St Louis Soccer Tourney Fun!

Weekdays:

Monday - We got our windows washed in and outside - so much better! Maci had soccer pictures at night which thankfully went real fast!
Tuesday - Maci had her MCA (state) math tests starting today. I had a work happy hour event at Upstairs Circus which was an arts and craft place with cocktails - fun! Connor had baseball practice with Clint. Later that night, we did a Cincy 6 video call which was great to catch up with my high school pals.
Wednesday - Day 2 of MCA math for Maci girl. Connor also had his final night of Faith Formation class. That night I had tickets to Tom Sandoval and the Most Extras - yes for those of you Bravo fans it was so fun! My gal pal from work Nicole and I went along with our two co-workers Mouli and Paul. It was such a good time even if we stayed up way too late for a school night - aka midnight!

Thursday - I worked from home to recover from the concert :) Busy day of meetings and at night Connor had baseball practice with Clint. Maci had practice at 7p and all the moms met up to stuff the goodie bags and give out the girls their travel bags and hats ahead of our St Louis tournament.

Friday :

Quick handful of meetings and final packing
At 10a, Maci and I were picked up by our pals Kari and Reagan for the ride to the airport
We got into the airport, found many other teammates and had some lunch at Red Cow.
We hustled to the gate for our boarding and had a fairly smooth flight down to St Louis.
We landed, got in our big SUV and were off to the hotel.
Once at the hotel, we unloaded came back down to see what was going on and there was my mom and dad ready to check in!
We helped them unload and then we headed down for a drink at the bar - yay 4p on Friday!
We hung for a bit and chatted with other parents before heading to dinner at a sports bar at 6p
We got back and were completely exhausted so Maci and I crashed at like 8p!

Saturday :

Connor and Clint did baseball pictures in the morning at home.
Maci's team had their first game at 1045a and we lost a tough 3-0. However, they scored the first 2 in the first few minutes, total flukes. We didnt let them score again in the 2nd half but couldnt get a shot off.
After the game, we went to Chicken and the Pickle for some team bonding, lunch, cocktails.
We then headed back to the fields for game 2. Our girls were more wide awake but we played a tough Chicago team and lost 4-0 - Ouch this is not our weekend!
We went back to the hotel for some pizza and swimming. The girls had a blast and we once again were down by 8p. YAY!

Sunday :

Early morning with our 3rd game being at 8a.
This was some wicked amazing team from Oklahoma and we lost 6-0 but I actually think we played our best soccer. Urgh just not the weekend of soccer we wanted and Maci didnt love that grandparents came to see them get beat and 0 scores :(
We got back to the hotel, hugged the grand parents good bye and packed up.
Since the tournament was done for us and we didnt have a flight until 540p, we decided to have a team outing to the City museum. So freaking cool!!!
This was such a good event for the girls so they didn't leave in bummed spirits after some tough losses.
We hauled back to the airport by 3p to return the cars and then hung at a restaurant bar to have some drinks/food before boarding our flight home.
Maci and I sat in economy comfort which was super cool and Maci loved feeling special :)
It was an ok flight home. Kari drove us to our house. I picked up Connor from Oliver's b/c Clint was at a baseball coaches meeting.
Such a fun mother/daughter trip even if it didnt go our way on the pitch!
