Weekdays:
- Monday - Maci is enjoying all the theme days for Homecoming this week! Today was comfy day which is how she dresses every day haha! I had a team onsite with my new leader and peers. I then sat with Maci at soccer practice while Clint and Connor had football at night.
- Tuesday - Today was winter vs summer and Maci just wore shorts and a t-shirt, not a crazy theme! At work I had my first talent session with my new leadership group and it went well! That night I took Maci to her soccer practice again.
- Wednesday - This day was rhyme without a reason day and I had never heard of this but Maci showed me lots of tik tok videos to explain. She dressed as a "Napper" and her girlfriend Ava was a "rapper" At night, I took Maci to you guessed it soccer practice! While we were there, Connor had night 1 of Travel Basketball tryouts - 54 boys for 20 spots on 2 Wayzata travel teams in the 3rd grade year. He thought he did well so that is all we can ask!
Napper
- Thursday - I had a great lunch with my former leader to check in on how we are each doing. Maci had toddler/parent/grandparent day and she was the grandmother HAHA - she always goes for the extreme 90 looking person. That evening Connor had baseball practice with Clint while I took Maci to and from a soccer training at the Fusion center.
Grandma
Friday:
- Today was Wayzata spirit day which was an easy one for M!
- I had a super productive day while Clint went and played 9 in the afternoon.
- We made our white chicken chili which made the house smell awesome!
- Once Maci was off the bus at 445p, Clint was hauling her and her friends Kate & Harper to Livian's house for pre-homecoming game fun.
- We got to the game around 630p and it was PACKED! The game started at 7p and thankfully we found Maci in time to get us all in the gate. Maci and Connor both had a blast hanging with their friends while Clint and I sat with our friends the Kuhn's. Unfortunately, it was an UGLY game and we lost badly on our homecoming evening.
Pre Game Fun
Homecoming Game Fun!
Thanks to Parents who snapped these pics
I found her in a sea of kids HA
Great group of friends
Saturday:
- We had some rain in the morning, first time in a long time!
- Maci had gymnastics at 11a.
- The sun then came out around 1p and it was a gorgeous even warm day.
- Connor had game 1 of his double header against the other Greenwood team at 3p - they won 16-0 which was ouchie against your buddies! After Connor did some SOLID pitching, Maci and I had to run to the high school for her soccer game.
- Maci's team did great and won 4-0 - she had an assist to Isla! Natalie came to watch as did her former teammate Violet!
- While we were at soccer, Connor's team lost a tough one with more ugly pitching. I guess Connor came in as relief and did a great job getting them out of a bad situation! His buddy Chuck even had the first home run - in the park! Unfortunately not enough and they got their 2nd loss.
- After such a busy late afternoon, none of us wanted to make it to the Church festival for the final hour or so but Connor did want to get to Medina days for the fireworks. Maci on the other hand wanted to relax, eat Sushi and not hear the loud booms. So Clint and Connor went while Maci and I hung back.
Maci is such a sweet girl to Connor’s friend Fletcher
He isn’t always “feeling” baseball and she gets him out there and having fun!
4-0 W & Cupcakes!
Love these Gals - Stella Maci and Natalie
Sunday:
- Connor was up and at 'em early for day 2 and final day of travel basketball try outs. He is pretty hopeful as he could tell he was scrimmaging with the "good kids" the entire time. We will see but proud of him for 1) not complaining about getting up before 8a on a Sunday 2) trying his best!
- I ran the kids to Target and 5 Guys for some quick errands and lunch while Clint was cutting the grass.
- We are now watching football and getting stuff done around the house before Maci's 430p soccer game at the high school.
We hope you are also enjoying these final summer temps and the shift into fall!
Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C
