Hot Weekend - Celebrating 9 Years of Marriage!

While it was the first full week in a little while, it flew by!

Friday - Nothing better than some Costume Kim on a Friday at school.  What makes it even better?  She was dressed as Belle from Beauty and the Beast.  Clint and I were tired from staying up later than usual with the neighbors on Thursday night and a long week so instead of our original plan of a nicer dinner out with the kiddos we hit up Noodles & Co.  Once we got there we found out it was buy 1 get 1 free on Mac N Cheese in honor of national Mac N Cheese day - who knew?!  We got home and started to watch some TV and I crashed - per usual :)

Saturday - We started the day with some bagels and a big Costco run.  Once home, Clint did yard work and got a haircut while I got some laundry going.  After Connor's nap, we headed to Edina swim club for some much needed cooling off - man was it HOT!  I didn't take any pictures because we were all splashing around, even mom got her hair wet ;-)

After swimming, we hurried home for mom and dad's monthly date night!  This one is also a dual purpose as we used the night to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary - yay!  The actual anniversary is on Wednesday and with a busy week ahead, it was far easier to celebrate on the weekend.  We had a YUMMY dinner and drinks at COV on Lake Minnetonka and then took an Uber to Maynard's for drinks at the bar - still on Lake Minnetonka.  It was a GORGEOUS night to be out and about, especially on the lake!

Sunday - Clint got up with M and let me sleep until a little after 9a WAHOO and man did I need it - draft beer doesn't treat me the same as it did 10 years ago.  When I got up I was SHOCKED to hear Connor was still sleeping too. . . my kind of kid!  Clint got us some McDonald's breakfast to help finish the recovery.  Connor finally woke at 945a!!  Clint and Connor have been getting both cars fully cleaned and detailed while Maci is with me playing and I am finishing laundry and ordered groceries.  Once the groceries get her, M and I are off to get our nails done!  During Connor's nap, Clint has some errands he wants to run and then we are back to the pool!  It is such a nice break in the day to splash with our kiddos.  We will likely spend the afternoon at the pool and then do baths and prep for the week ahead.
