Happy Thanksgiving!!!

What a FUN long weekend!  If only more weekends could be this long and restful!

Monday - Maci had skating and I got to take her to "see how good she got!"  I called Grandma Janet on FaceTime so she also could see how "good she got!"  Maci just loves her skating lessons.

Tuesday - Last day of work!  After work Clint and I headed to daycare for their thanksgiving meal and magic show.  I was able to stay through the meal but had to leave before the magic show.  My last piece of work for the week was a night Asia call at our telepresence conference room.  So I was at work from 700-830p while Clint and the kiddos enjoyed some magic.
Wednesday - Connor went to daycare and Maci got to have a day date with mom and dad!  Connor was super confused (a) why he went to school so late (b) why he went in PJ's (PJ day duh!) (c) why Maci didn't have to stay - this led to some tears but after we left, we were sent the following picture.
Maci, Clint and I were off for some big kid fun!  We had bagels, picked up our Thanksgiving meal needs for the next day and then hit the rec center for some free ice skating day before turkey fun!  We ended our afternoon with lunch at Bunny's - Yum!

I moved slow at first but Maci kept reminding me, "you are doing great mom!"
Also Maci doesn't need the "walker" but she thought it was funny b/c granny's would use it :)
That night, Connor had lil gym before the festivities began - a much different night before Thanksgiving activity for me compared to what we use to do say 5 or more years ago :)

Thursday - Happy Thanksgiving!  We have so much to be grateful for and our lil family of 4 is just the start of all our blessings.  It was so nice to spend a long weekend with my favorite crew!  We started the day with some Macy's parade and followed by a BIG Vikings win (2nd fav team looking good!!)  The kids and I had fun taking funny selfies while daddy got all the food ready.  Come 430p we were enjoying delicious food and talking about what we are thankful for 💕 I believe we all headed to bed a little early that night given our food comas!

Friday - Now it was our turn - both kids went to daycare and we had a day date!  After dropping the kiddos off, we mailed our Christmas cards - YAY!!  We then grabbed some bagels and caught the first half of the Toledo game at home (I may have napped for a part of it - darn Turkey!)  At 1/2 time we headed up to Pub 819 from drinks and lunch.  We celebrated a Toledo win which means they won the MAC west - 1st time since I have known Clint - Yay Rockets!  After game/drinks/lunch, we headed to our favorite nail place at the West End for pedicures - ahhh this is what it is like to have time to yourself!
I talk a big game but after pedicures, we were ready to get our kiddos and give the daycare a break since it was 4p and there were only 5 kids at the center that day :)
Even though we sent them to school - we still dress them for the game!
Connor didn't get the hold up #1 finger :)
Friday night we decorated the house for Christmas and after pizza we did a ginger bread house.  Daddy was the engineer and Maci/Mom were the decorators - Connor was in bed HA
Pretty darn fun - don't recall ever doing one of these before :)
Saturday - What a wonderful day at home!  No dance due to the holiday weekend so we started the day with donuts - daddy/Maci did a morning run to the shop and saw the Schommer clan and Maci's daycare pal Orli.  Maci then helped me clean out the entire playroom and toy box in the main living room.  We made pitch, donate and keep piles and I was very proud of Maci's willingness to donate many nice toys which she doesn't play with much anymore.  Clint did a donation run for us while also grabbing some lunch.
In the afternoon, we enjoyed OSU beating that team up north!  After the game I did a TON of Christmas shopping online which makes me feel good since I will be in India for a week mid Dec.  I like to have things in order before the trip - blame my Type A personality :)  I also was finding a ton of deals given Black Friday/Cyber Monday etc.  The internet has made me so much more efficient!  At night, we cuddled up on the couch and I did some reading for work meetings this coming week.

Sunday - No Sunday school due to holiday weekend.  Clint made some eggs and bacon for breakfast and I have been running some final laundry.  We are now enjoying the NFL games and hoping our last day of holiday weekend never ends!  We will each do some weekday prep later in the day but for now the couch looks like a great spot for us :)
Sibling Fun on a Sunday morning
This coming week starts a crazy few weeks for the Mondell household.  This week I have global leadership team meetings in Minneapolis while Clint is traveling.  The following week we are both around but with hectic holiday schedules.  After that, I head to Bangalore for a week with some colleagues and the following week is the week before Christmas/Connor mans 2nd birthday!  December will fly for this crew but we are ready for it! 👍

We hope you all had joyous and blessed Thanksgiving breaks with loved ones!
Lots of Love,

Ladies Night & Another Play with Maci Lou

Another jam packed week for the Mondell Family!

In addition to scoring a leader badge, Monday was skating for Maci girl.  Clint took her while I watched Connor man.

Tuesday night, I tried out restorative yoga!  It was lots of stretching and calming music.  It was a nice way to end the day and to move into the bedtime hours.  I look forward to doing it again Thanksgiving weekend.
Happy Boy Outside!
Wednesday was Connor's Lil Gym night and Clint took him while Maci and I hung out at home.
Teeth Brushing at School
Thursday was mis-match day for Maci girl and she loved it!  After work, daddy had a happy hour while I did some McDonalds with the kiddos.

Friday - Wahoo we made it!!  I worked from home on this icky rainy day and Clint took the kids to school.  Around 445p I headed to the West End to meet up with girl friends for ladies night which consisted of Bad Moms Christmas movie and dinner/drinks at Rojo afterward.  Always fun catching up with these ladies.  While we were out, all the dads met up at the Cassem's with the kids - utter chaos with 8 kids!

 Looking Good Ladies!
Saturday - The usual dance followed by Beauty & the Beast for Maci and mom at the Hopkins Children's theatre.  She said she liked this one better because it was shorter HAHA.  It was well done and fortunately was only 75 mins with no intermissions which helps for little kiddos attention spans.  She also loved meeting the characters and getting their autographs afterward.  I then ran to Target for some holiday needs while Clint and the kids watched the OSU game (blow out!!)  Once home, Clint and I decided to pull out the Wii for a bit before watching a movie with M.  What a nice Saturday with family!
Dance Fun!

Sunday - Today flew by!  We had church/Sunday school.  Then ran some quick errands to get more hairspray and some bagels.  We watched the Vikings continue to ROLL and during that game finished laundry/drafted up Christmas card address labels.  We now finished dinner and are watching the rest of the Bengals game.  I got to tidy the house a bit and then hope for an early bed time for this house.

Oh Connor - You are your father's son!
HAHA

We look forward to only a 2 day work week ahead and then a 5 day holiday weekend!!!  Wahoo!
Heading into Thanksgiving week we want you to know how thankful we are for all of you and we look forward to teaching our kids gratitude this year and for years to come!

Lots of Love,
