We are so Thankful!!

Monday -

• Poor M woke up with a sore throat, cough, headache and feeling really hot - UGH!
• I stayed home with her and ran her to the Dr around 9a to ensure we didn't have strep - turns out no strep but likely some viral thing she has to work through - boo!
• She would feel great every time she had Tylenol but then would be a bit drained afterward
• Had a good day of work and rested with the family at night!

Tuesday - 

• M really wanted to give it a go and she seemed great so off she went for her only day of school for the week
• I headed into the office for my only day downtown for the week 
• Clint got a call at 4p that she had a 101 temp at after school care - ugh she made it so far!
• I grabbed Connor on my way home from a crazy day - of course the last day has to be crazy!
• I worked most of the night while Clint and Nate played golden tee - I joined them for a few brews when I finally wrapped up - yay!!

Muscled through the day like a trooper

Wednesday - 

• Clint was up watching the weather and preparing to clear the road around 630a
• Maci and I got up shortly thereafter as we were all so excited to see our family!!!  They drove through the night but also into the eye of the blizzard for parts of their trip which had us all a little anxious.
• They arrived around 10a and we got them down for naps while Clint and I headed out to get our catering and some pies!
• We also mailed our Christmas cards per usual on the weekend of Thanksgiving!!
• Once home, we all laid around, snacked and then had Casey's pizza for dinner.
• Connor unfortunately started to feel a little hot and picked up the cough from M UGH
• Around 7p, the adults got ready to hit the town for the big night out - we went to InnKaHoots and played darts and then to Stanchion for some dancing with the DJ - we finally called it a night around 1130p and headed home for a dip in the hot tub - yay fun family!

 This may have been the funniest thing ever - I won and we all honestly have no idea how?!?!?!

 But then Dustin won and it wasn't as funny HAHA

Thursday - 

• Happy Thanksgiving!!!
• We all laid around watching the parade, football and other random stuff on the TV
• It was such a good lazy day - around 2p the guys started the deep fryer for the bird and around 330p I was able to start cooking up our sides
• We had a yummy meal at about 5p and everyone was feeling full and tired afterward
• The adults played photo hunt and golden tee while the kids sat in the hot tub followed by a movie - Maci fell asleep on the couch :)

Friday - 

• AHH another amazingly lazy day with family!
• We watched a lot of random TV in the morning/early afternoon before getting ready to get out of the house that late afternoon
• The kids all voted for Mall of America - Dustin/Meghan had the teenagers while Clint/Tiffany and I took Lola/Maci/Connor on a few rides - we met back up to check out a few more stores and then head back to our part of town before more snow 
• We ate a yummy late dinner at Sunshine Factory before heading home to kiddos bed time, teenager movies and adults photo hunt, pool and golden tee!!

Saturday - 

• Boo they are leaving!!!  Dustin had them all up and at 'em by 7a to pack and load the car
• By 830a we were on our way to "the chicken place" aka the diner near our house for a good breakfast
• They were all on the road by 10a and we were back at the house resting, decorating for Christmas and starting the laundry
• Clint and I enjoyed watching OSU kill Michigan but unfortunately the MN Gophers couldn't get it done against the Badgers from WI.
• I got a lot of online shopping done - credit card is melted but so thankful I have a lot of that off my mind - wait for the porch deliveries starting this week!!!
• Clint Maci and I ended the night with a rental of Daddy's Home - so funny and cute!  We love long holiday weekends with family!!

Sunday - 

• And now the busy productive day!
• We got up and did some laundry, cleaning around the house before heading out to get our Christmas tree!!!  So pretty with the snow falling but each kid complained of being cold so we were pretty quick.
• Afterward, we dropped letters for Santa and did more laundry/work around the house as well as decorating the tree - it's beginning to look at lot like Christmas!
• I finally finished laundry, we watched Bengals and Dolphins win a game (WOW!) and we got ourselves prepared for a full week back at work and school  
• M & C (especially C) still have coughs and are a little under the weather so they both had a good hot bath, medicine and early bed time
• Now Clint and I are going to do a quick hot tub run for our own relaxation and then bed time too!!

We are so thankful for weekends like this with friends and family!!!  It makes the crazy hectic weeks so worth it because you cherish it that much more.  Thanks again for coming Gilroy and Meghan!!  We can't wait to have you again.
