COVID19 - Week 12 at Home

Monday -

  • M had her final reading group w. Mrs Ronning (they enjoyed donuts and scavenger hunt) and then she had her final 1:1 with Mrs Sheldon - man did we LOVE her 1st grade teacher!!!
  • It was a super sad day for so many on my team and in the company - many live in cities where they couldn't sleep at night given fires exploding outside and others are POC themselves or are married to POC and this is bringing visibility to their darkest fears.  It was an emotional day with all of us crying on our leadership call and then committing to do better and lift each other up!
  • The kids enjoyed a hot day by swimming with Liz in the Harty pool
Summer Books Arrived from our Scholastics Order

Tuesday -
  • I had really gotten into run/walks first thing in the morning this week - such a great start to the day!
  • Kids enjoyed a dip in our kiddie pool in the backyard while the Harty's had a friend come visit for the first time in forever
  • Clint took M to another dentist apt at 4p - had to get sealants put on
She πŸ’• the Dentist
Found him like this post a conference call
When he says he wants a movie in the basement it equals nap πŸ˜‚

Wednesday -
  •  A day of slip and sliding at Clara's for the kiddos
Huge Turtles laying eggs all around our neighborhood lake

Thursday -
  • Last Day of School for M!
  • We made it, e-learning was an interesting way to wrap up but we did it!  Now the kiddos have to do 30 mins of reading a day and 2 pages of worksheets from their summer bridge workbooks oh and no fighting and clean up your messes in order to get a cotton ball each day - 🀞 this work!
  • We hot tubbed after Tena/my walk and Nate/Clint walk - enjoyed a cocktail and then hit the hay

Friday -
  • I had a pretty light schedule today b/c at one time I was gonna be on PTO - pre-COVID we had planned on the Demko family coming to visit the Twin Cities so when I freed up the day, I didn't get too many meetings - Wahoo!!!
  • I worked outside during the afternoon which was lovely!  I enjoyed a beer around 330p as Clint left to play 18 holes of golf
  • The kids and I went to Culvers for dinner but the line was INSANE so we switched to Wendys and tried to make frosties as exciting πŸ˜€
  • We ate dinner outside, played with the Harty's post dinner and then headed in for bed
  • Clint got home around 830p and got put on bedtime duty ASAP
Morning Walk/Run - Caught a Turtle laying eggs
Neighborhood Birthday for Molly / End of School Year PiΓ±ata

Saturday -
  • We have been on a stretch of just awesome weather!
  • Connor and Clint left at 9a (almost overslept) for Connor's FINALLY haircut and then came home with πŸ₯― bagels
  • Kids and I started the day by taking a walk/bike ride and stopping at the park for some monkey bars - Connor now does them all, he has grown so much!!!
  • Clint finished the mulch laying and we all played around the house
  • I took a late nap and when we got up we all went to the Harty's for some swimming
  • Around 5p some rain moved in so we went to pick up River Inn to go, ate and then we were all ready to crash - just worn out!!!
  • I was probably asleep by 8p HAHA 🀣
Bless you Barbers!
 When did they grow up?!
Oh Yea - We bought a snowmobile!!
The Christenson's are moving to Oregon so we took this off their hands along with 4 helmets ❄️

Sunday -
  • Another beauty outside as I write this from the deck!
  • I am going to go on a run walk soon and Clint is planning to cut the grass
  • We just booked a camping trip to Kamp Dels for July - not quite the same as WI Dells but we need to get creative this year
  • We even printed off a 2020 kids summer bucket list of things we are going to try to do in lieu of a "normal" summer
  • I need to do some work prep later today but for now enjoying the great weather ☀️, just a little windy 🌬
We hope you are all enjoying the start to summer, even if a little different than usual.
Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C
