COVID19 - Week 15 at Home - Happy Birthday Grandpa & Mom!

We had a fairly normal summer week with awesome weather, plenty of working from the deck time, lots of park and walk time and sweaty/sticky faces 🌞 You got to love Summer!!!

Friday
  • Happy 90th Birthday Grandpa!!!
  • Liz had the day off since her family was heading to a cabin so Clint and I took turns keeping our crew entertained while also getting some work done.
  • After work wrapped for the day, we took a family walk, played some driveway baseball, checked out the new dock in our 'hood
  • We also enjoyed some Famous Dave's BBQ for dinner
  • I was ready to crash and had a fairly early evening after kiddos went to bed!

Saturday
  • Hot Summer Day!
  • We got up and headed to Clint's haircut, made a pedicure apt for Sunday and then headed on for Bagels before hauling out to WI for firework purchasing for the upcoming 4th of July fun!
  • After our long adventure to WI (1.5 hours) we came home to order groceries and swim at the Harty's
  • After swimming we decided to try our hand at a restaurant for the first time since COVID - Rojo's patio - the latest dinner time we could get was 345p HAHA so thankfully we hadn't really had a lunch so we were good to go and were excited to get out of the house
  • We stopped for some ice cream on the way home and then had some quiet time
  • Around 8p we started a fire on top of our hill and let the kids enjoy s'mores before putting them to bed and welcoming the Kavanuagh's and Jonas' (Harty's are camping for the weekend) for some adult beverages and conversation
  • Before we knew it, it was 1245a and we all went rolling home to our beds - fun time for all!

Sunday :
  • Happy Birthday Mom!
  • Started the day by cleaning my closet/drawers and the kids before having some breakfast and then taking M to the nail salon for pedicures
  • After our fun mom/daughter outing, we spoke to Grandma for her birthday and then welcomed the Brubachers over for a catch up on our deck for a few hours
  • Now that they have left, we are enjoying a late lunch and I may do some work prep before a family dinner and snowcones.

We hope everyone is surviving and finding ways to enjoy summer, even if different than in the past.

Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C
