Weekdays:

• Monday - Connor had his first basketball practice with Clint (assistant coach) in the evening.  At the same time, Maci and I went to check out her soccer clubs new indoor facility.  I listened to what the training lessons will be like with this new center and Maci went and did some training with her pals.  She was a sweaty mess at the end!
• Tuesday - A nice evening with no places to run to so we were able to clean up work and then catch up on junk tv.

• Wednesday - Really busy day for me but I cut out a little early to grab a beer with a coworker, Nicole.  Then I got home and Clint ran Connor to his religion class while I helped Maci with some homework and then caught up again on email/TV.  Thankfully Connor was able to hop a ride home with the neighbors :)
• Thursday - We had some job impacts at work which always make for an icky day but things went as well as can be anticipated.  We had no plans in the evening which was super welcomed so Clint and I had beers, sweats and Thursday night football to end the day.

Friday : 

• Cold front has come in!
• The kids left on the bus and Clint and I were off to get some bagels.
• I had meetings start at 830a but around lunch I was wrapped for the day so attacked the never ending to do list.
• Once the work day was over, we all bundled up and headed to the MN Zoo for the Pumpkin fun!
• We started to watch Ghostbusters with the kids when we got home but everyone fell asleep, including me HA

Saturday :

• Connor had a makeup and final soccer game at 9a - HOLY COLD!
• Clint left a little early with Maci to get her to Gymnastics on time at 10a.
• We did a few things around the house and then I was off to get a massage at 12p - So Nice!
• I got things done around the house and Clint got needed yard work done up until 3p when I ran Maci to her pal Charlie's house for a slumber party with Charlie and Violet (Soccer Pals) and then dropped Connor and his buddy Hendrix off at Grady's 8th birthday party - Ninja Warrior fun!
• Clint picked up Grady and Hendrix while I was getting laundry done.
• We ordered Wings for dinner and enjoyed the OSU game while getting some things done around the house.

Sunday :

• We got home needs done and were working on our WiFi that was being odd all morning :(
• Maci wanted me to pick her up at 12p so I ran to get her while Clint started to watch his Dolphins crush it against the Patriots.
• Maci took a shower and a nap once home
• Connor played outside for a bit with Nash
• I am now getting all my to dos wrapped up while watching my Bengals - keep it up boys!
• We were supposed to stop by the Fusion soccer indoor facility grand opening party but we are all feeling a little cozy at home today and Maci is resting up - darn slumber party fun! :)

Boomer's 14th Birthday & MEA Fall Break 2023!

Weekdays:

• Monday - Boss' Day!  My team was so sweet and sent me an edible arrangements to celebrate!  Maci had gymnastics in the evening, a makeup class since she missed on Saturday for her soccer game.  Connor had his own soccer practice and Clint mowed the lawn.
• Tuesday - Boomer turns 14!!!  He really didnt care HA but the kids enjoyed it.  We got our new AC installed all day, that last unit lasted the whole 20 years of the house's life but it was time.  Clint and I then had to meet at Greenwood for Fall conferences.  Connor was up first and they think he may get put into enrichment classes because he is a smart fella and gives 0 Fs haha!  Thankfully he is a nice friend and listens well to his teacher.  Maci was up next and this teacher adores her.  He said to stop focusing on the standardized test scores b/c he will take a Maci student any day as she cares, tries so hard, asks for his help, is a natural leader etc.  Thank goodness, we must be doing something right!

• Wednesday - The kids already had no school but we didnt take PTO for Wed so they were home while Clint worked.  I was at the office and got home for dinner.  I then worked from the basement most of the evening as we are in busy times and I wanted work in a spot where I didnt have to think about it during our fall break.
• Thursday - Up and at 'em to start packing for Grandview Resort.  We were on the road by 10a and at the resort by lunch time.  We killed time walking around the resort, having a beer and appetizer and coloring/checking out the gift shop.  We got into our cabin around 3p and the kids were ready to go swimming right away.  For dinner we headed to Zorbaz at Gull Lake.

Friday : 

• Maci and I woke first and took a little walk outside and watched squirrels play in the tree
• We picked up coffees and donuts for everyone
• Once everyone was up and at 'em we went by the spa to shop a bit but didnt make any purchases 
• We road the horse drawn carriage as a family
• We then went to lunch at the Pub where the kids started to find their obsession with getting rubber ducks from the claw machine.
• After lunch we got faces painted at the golf course and Clint/I enjoyed some cocktails and pro shop shopping.
• We had dinner out at sunshine summerhouse which was tasty and the kids got to play soccer outside while waiting on food.

Saturday :

• Maci and I got up again and took a little walk
• This time we all started our day with breakfast at the buffet 
• We headed into downtown Nisswa for shopping at 10a - while Maci and I shopped, Clint and Connor sat at a bar watching college football 
• Maci and I both found some good items and then came back to the bar for lunch
• Afterward, I took Connor with us for a stuffed animal and they each got some candy at Chocolate Ox
• We headed back to the resort in time for painting pumpkins
• Once done, Maci wanted to go back and chill but Connor wanted to go swimming so Clint/Connor went swimming and Maci/I took naps
• We had dinner out again but this time at my fav place, Bar Harbor!  Such a lovely supper club :)  We had great steaks, goat cheese/truffle potatoes and espresso martinis!
• We headed to the pub once home and the kids ruled the duck claw machine while Clint and I enjoyed a night cap drink and good college football games

Sunday : 

• Time to head home :(
• We ate at the buffet again
• Packed up to be checked out by 11a
• Hung out with a mimosa and bloody mary at the golf pub until Chocolate Ox opened at 12p
• We grabbed some final candy goodies and then were off on the drive.
• We are listening to football in the car and should get home around 230p
• Just in time to run laundry, order groceries and get a good night sleep before a full day back to work and school - dang we love our annual fall break!!
