Wet Fields, Apple Orchard and Hot Weather!

Weekdays:
  • Monday - A learn at home day for the kids as teachers had an in service day.  Praise Clint for having them at the house while he worked.  We finally got a lot of rain which led to more flooding at our school.  Thank goodness we got the word late at night that they would be able to have school on Tuesday.  However, this weather meant both kids had their soccer practices cancelled.  We were able to enjoy the Bengals first W together as a family for the night.
  • Tuesday - I had an early day so got to the office by 7a.  It was still some gross rainy weather and I spent most of my afternoon in a conference room presenting at a quarterly biz review.  Connor's flag football was cancelled that evening so I was able to grab a quick beer with some co workers on my way home.
  • Wednesday - I got my flu shot for the year, glad to have that done.  Maci had soccer practice at a MUDDY field.  I hung out and worked in my car.  While I was there, Clint and Connor were at his first religion class of the year - big year with 1st Communion and 1st Reconciliation!  Once home,  had a quarterly video call with my high school girlfriends.  Always good to catch up with them!

  • Thursday - Connor had a flag game again but I had to miss it because Maci had soccer practice.  Clint said Connor had some great blocking and good runs.  Maci was hitting some bomb crosses to her teammates at her practice.  It was fun to watch from my car while getting some work done.
You looking at me?  She is so silly with her poses!
Friday
  • I had a fairly busy work morning with meetings.
  • Clint ran to a quick Dr appointment and some errands
  • We had lunch and I cranked on some afternoon work/think time
  • The kids got home and it was a nice warm day.
  • We ordered pizza for dinner and decided not to go to the Wayzata football game and instead stay comfy at home and watch college football.
  • Later in the evening a storm rolled in and had some crazy thunderstorms - thankful we didnt go to the game for sure!
  • There was some nutty wind at one point which caused many trees in our hood to come down but fortunately only a few small branches in our yard.

Saturday :
  • Due to all the rain, both Connor and Maci's morning soccer games were cancelled even though it was a crazy hot sunny day/just way too mushy of fields.
  • We were able to send Maci to gymnastics instead and I got to sleep in.
  • After gymnastics we headed to Apple Jacks for our annual apple orchard and pumpkin purchase.
  • It was soooo HOT!   But we still had fun purchasing some home items in their shop, getting some yummy Carmel apples, playing in corn pits/jumping on the pillows and finding our pumpkins
  • We hung out at the house for a bit and cooled off but then got ready for Dave N Busters with our former neighbors The Verplank's - they have twin girls Maci's age.
  • After the kids were done eating, they ran around and played while the adults got to catch up.
  • After dinner, we cashed out their tickets and then were off to our house for a few night caps and the kids did hide and seek.
  • Always great seeing them!!

All the Girls and Parents were in the basement
Came up and found him like this!
Sunday :
  • Maci had a 9a soccer game out in Andover which meant we had to all get up by 715a.
  • The girls had a hard fought battle and won 3-2!  It was such an exciting game :)
  • We hauled home and got some things done around the house before football kicked off.
  • It was a rough day for both my Bengals and Clint's Dolphins - ugh!
  • We then got all the week prep completed and Clint mowed the lawn.
  • We are wrapping up our weekend with the Chiefs/Jets game and way too many video shots of Taylor Swift HAHA
Love these girls and this team!

We hope you are having a wonderful fall season!
Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C
