Weekdays:
- Monday - Last day at Detroit Lakes and yuck on the weather front! We boated over to Lakeside for a quick lunch and then we were on the road by 1230p. Maci got invited to play up with the Academy 1 team again so we needed to get back by 4p so we could be back on the road to Lakeville for a 5p arrival - what we do for our kids and sports :) I had a productive drive home getting some email cleaned up. We got home by around 330p and I threw in some laundry, Maci got changed and we were off again. Fusion won!! No goals for M but some gorgeous passes and she sure is showing she can hang with this team - go girl!
- Tuesday - Normal day back to work and nanny fun. After the work day, Connor had baseball practice while I ran to a spray tan - won a gift card from prom. I then hustled home to join the TFE parent meeting for the elite team Maci will try out for in addition to Fusion at the end of July. I took Clint through my notes once he got home and then we called it for the night.
- Wednesday - Another day at the office but thankfully the week is really dying down with the holiday around the bend. Maci had a soccer training that was a killer workout but dang if she didn’t fight through the whole thing - holding lunges and all! I ended up calling it around 330p for the day and headed home - weather was gorgeous for once it seems! Once home, I laid down for a bit until Clint was done with the grass. Then we headed to Delano 4th of July festival to play games, ride rides, have dinner, drinks some brews and watch some big boy baseball. Connor’s highlight was hitting 2 out of 3 in the basketball game and winning “Gucci” slippers and Maci’s was landing a goldfish that is her new pet, bubbles! It was a gorgeous night and we rolled back home around 11p.

- Thursday - Happy 4th of July! Ugh the weather was stupid again this year! We went to the festival in Delano but we sat in ponchos and dealt with on and off again raining. We then came home for a super lazy day of TV binging. Finally it cleared around dinner time and we shot off some fireworks that Maci and Clint picked up at the local tent. Not quite the weather we would desire but we made the best of it!
The Grocery at the parade gave out a full box of CheezIts and Diet Cokes?!
Sparklers - Super American!
Friday :
- Clint and I both took the day off to enjoy a 4 day weekend!
- Weather was quite nice! I took the kids over to the Harty’s for some swimming.
- We came home in time for Maci and I to climb into my bed and watch the Aurora (MN Women’s pro soccer team) play in their playoff game. Unfortunately, even though they dominated most of the game, they lost a heartbreaking 2-1. I do love that Maci and I share this love of the game though!
- We then got ready and were off for dinner at Pub 819 in Hopkins. We got to eat outside under a covered patio and enjoy the Men’s Spain vs France soccer game.
- After dinner, we were off to the Stages Children’s theatre for Finding Nemo the musical. It was super cute and fast which was nice for all of us :)
Saturday :
- Clint had a massage at 9a and I laid in bed binging a show
- I finally got out of being lazy around lunch time.
- Maci and I headed to the nail salon to get pedicures around 1p - we got to watch more soccer while there and Caitlin Clark’s basketball game - nice time.
- Once home, I got a lot of things done around the house as well as resting - what a great weekend of productive and rest!
- I was hoping to go back to Delano for their ending festival fireworks and championship baseball game but the rest of my crew was really in no mood to head out so we ordered sushi and rice from Kobe and enjoyed dinner on the deck.
- I then got even more “to dos” done while watching some of my fav shows.
Sunday :
- I am enjoying coffee and sunshine on the deck while getting some things done to prep for the week.
- Clint is painting a few wood siding boards we recently had replaced on the house.
- Today is going to be gorgeous so soaking in the last bit of the holiday weekend.
- Connor has his last regular season baseball game tonight at 6p - let’s hope they go undefeated heading into tournament play next weekend!
- Right from that game, we rush to the Wayzata gym for Connor’s 3v3 basketball league. Game one is at 755p and game 2 is at 820p. Let’s go boys!
- I couldn’t think of a better way to wrap the holiday weekend then watching our kiddos doing what they love!
Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C
