SPRING BREAK - End of Cali & Week in Mexico + Clint's 48th Birthday!!!

Weekdays:

• Monday - Yay on time flight to Cancun!!!  We left on a 1030a flight out of LA but given we had to go across country it was almost a 5 hour flight.  The kids loved it and I didnt mind as it was pretty smooth, got some sleep.  We landed around 5p local time, got our gaps, grabbed drinks at the Margaritaville and hopped in a quick bus to the resort.  Well that margarita was slammed by me and then turned into dinner with the crew and Espresso Martinis.  Let's say the night ended with me blacking out, throwing a martini on Connor in a hallway and passing out in our room, never making it to the nightclub.  UGH!  Way too hard for night 1!

• Tuesday - Happy 48th Birthday Clint!!!  I took it way slower at the pool bar. The kids had a blast with all their friends, I enjoyed chatting with the adults and Clint got many Happy Birthday shouts.  We did some shots for his birthday (I did not).  The staff made a sign on a towel with sand :) It was an awesome day and then we had a large group dinner at the Mexican restaurant at night with the surprise gift - Hawaiian shirts with Clint's face on them for the guys and sons :)  After dinner, we headed to Digi bar where they were doing Karaoke.  Our sweet Maci once again CRUSHED a Taylor Swift song :)  The Kids sang Tipsy and Clint/Marty did friends in low places for his birthday.

• Wednesday - Another awesome day of pool time fun in the sun!  I drank a bit more but stayed in control today, feeling better.  The kids are having a blast playing in the sun.  We hung outside all day long and then had an adult only dinner at a french restaurant while the kids hung in the Cody's room.  Connor wanted some alone time so he stayed in our room but Maci continued to play with the littles.  The kids met up with us at Digi bar to end the evening and they got some ice cream before we all called it - Tony and Heather were leaving the next day so early night for them.

• Thursday - Last day 😐 Unfortunately we had shit weather all day - we tried to pool it up multiple times but that got windy/wet/cold.  The boys did some batting cages but the height was for adults.  We tried to do pickle ball but the courts were wet.  We still made the most of it but bugger weather for our last full day.  However, we had a YUMMY steak dinner with all kids and adults at night.  That food was good and then we headed to Digi bar for some final evening fun.  Many started to dwindle quickly to get to packing etc.  What a fun time with good friends!!

Friday:

• We got up normal time and packed everything up then met up with the Hoglunds, only family left, for some 10a laser tag and then pool time before our shuttle came at 1p.
• We took everything down to the wire with Clint getting the last of the bags just as the room locked, we had him get one last round of drinks and the kids grabbed one final ice cream before cutting the bracelets and boarding the bus.
• We had a great lunch at Margaritaville at the airport
• Flight was on time and we were off around 410p for MSP.  Unfortunately there was some rainy weather in the MSP area which made for a bumpy decent but all in all I cant complain about the travels.
• We got our bags, uber and were home around 10p.  Clint and I immediately crashed in bed.

Saturday:

• Lazy day at home - love getting home with a weekend to go!
• I did about 10 loads of laundry throughout the day but also had some down time.
• Connor went over to Chuck's house to play for a bit late afternoon/evening.
• We watched the basketball games and then caught up on shows in bed to end the evening.

She may have missed us the most

Sunday:

• Happy Easter!
• We started the day with a nice walk in the sun with the dogs and then met the Cody's at Medina Ballroom for Easter Brunch at 1115a followed by some bowling for an hour.
• We got home a little bit ago and I am doing the final touches on preparing for the week ahead but may fit in a quick snooze.  Thankfully no sports today given the holiday but we are back at it with baseball, spring basketball, middle school track and soccer outdoors starting tomorrow.

Onsite LT Meetings, Basketball Coaches Get Together, Baseball Team Meet & Greet + Start of Spring Break - Off to a Weekend of Soccer in Cali!!!

Weekdays:

• Monday - Clint took the Toyota to get maintenance in the morning. I had a full day of leadership meetings which ended with a dinner at night.  While I was there, Clint had the basketball coaches over to our house for a end of season drink.  I also picked up Maci on the way home from my work dinner.
• Tuesday - I had another day of full leadership team meetings.  I hustled home to be able to get to Connor's Baseball team meet and greet out in Blaine.  Maci was taken to her practice by Ayla's family and we had to pick Maci & Ayla up at 9p on our way back from the baseball dinner/batting cages.
• Wednesday - Last day of work and school - wahooo!  Clint did a walk through with Benjamin so he could watch the dogs.  I got out of work on time to get home and start packing.  Clint had to help with the dome tear down for baseball and the kids helped me to pack until he got home.  Once packed, we all crashed and enjoyed a peaceful night before travel.
• Thursday - The uber picked us up around 830a and we were off.  We enjoyed the Delta Lounge and drinks/food with the Kurth's before boarding our 11a flight to LA.  We got to our rental car and it took us about 2 hours to get down to San Diego from LA.  The boys and girls swam a bit once at the hotel and then we found some dinner at a sports bar to watch b-ball games.  Oddly the power went out so we all sat there in the dark trying to figure out how to pay - that's CA for you.

Friday:

• Game 1 at 10a vs Silicon Valley - they weren't a great team but we had 2 funky goals. One was a questionable no call foul against Maci and the D didn't slide over to help cover.  The 2nd came in the final minutes with one of our star players going to deflect and it awkwardly bounced off her leg and into the goal.  We lost 2-1 and were all annoyed b/c we could have had them.
• We went back to the room to chill for a bit and then did some time at the beach.
• At night, the girls had dinner with their coach (Lucca) at the hibachi while the parents went to a sports bar for more NCAA games.

Saturday:

• Game 2 vs Oregon at 1015a - we came out sleep walking and allowed a goal in the first few minutes. . . Maci will make sure you know she wasn't on the field when this happened :) The girls powered through and went on to win 3-1!!!  Such a great bounce back game!
• We had lunch by the beach and then had to hustle back to get ready for the San Diego Wave women's pro game that night.  Our girls got to go down on the field and high five the players ahead of the game.

Sunday:

• We got all checked out in the morning before the game
• We had another 10a game this time vs Colorado.  We got a 1-0 lead and even though I think we could have won by more, girls were tired and we held that lead the entire game.  Nice to leave with a 2-1 record on the week.
• From the field, we loaded up the car with Neko/Charlie as they were heading to LA with us.  We had a good drive until the girls were complaining of headaches and not feeling great.  We think they were dehydrated but we stopped for lunch and it wasn't getting better.  Clint ran to the local target to get Pedialyte.  We were trying to help them.
• We got back in the car and drove to the hotel for the night near the airport but as we unloaded Maci screamed for me and then started to get sick in the bushes - ugh damn migraine and poor gril!
• We had them hose down the sidewalk and then got her in a shower and straight to bed at 5p.
• Clint and Charlie enjoyed a drink and some food while we all crashed.

AA Baseball Team, Clint's Trip to Ohio, Lillian Birthday Party, Tequila Butcher with the Harty's, Soccer Scrimmage & 3v3 B-Ball is Back!!!

Weekdays:

• Monday - I worked from home thinking the roads would be worse than they were.  That evening, we found out Connor made AA baseball again and would be with the same coach and many of the same boys - yay!!  We are ready for warm weather and baseball fun!
• Tuesday - Happy St Paddy's Day!! Connor did some after school hitting with Jordan at Brower.  Later that night, Maci had soccer practice at Champion Hall.
• Wednesday - Clint flew out to Detroit late in the afternoon to visit his dad who isn't doing super great.  I came home mid day to work from here so I would be at home when Connor gets off the bus. That night, Connor and I did some open gym basketball while Maci was at her soccer practice.
• Thursday - Single parenting the kiddos so left work mid-day again to be home with Connor getting off the bus.  Thankfully we are in a lull between basketball and baseball so just dealing with Maci soccer practice at night.

Friday:

• It was a  gorgeous day here so I played a little hooky and got my nails done shortly after lunch.  I then caught up with some friends and cleaned up some work before calling it for the day.
• The kids and I had pizza and enjoyed a chill evening!

Saturday:

• Clint landed back in MSP early in the morning.
• I took Conor to a haircut at 1145a and then they went to some open gym while I ran Maci to her friend Lillian's birthday party.
• That night, we caught up with the Harty's for a date night and tried a new place called the tequila butcher. 
• We capped off the night with some golden tee and touch screen in our basement.

Sunday: 

• Maci got home from her sleepover party in the am.  We then had her soccer scrimmage vs Iowa at 215p
• They won 7-0 and Maci had a nice goal!
• We got home for some down time before we had to head to the start of Connor's 3v3 basketball season.  We had 4 games since we had to fit in due to spring break the next week.  The boys wen 3-1 on the evening and looked sharp in all but 1 of the games :)
• We got home late and crashed!!
