The last week or so has been crazy! We were just getting back in our routine the week of New Years when Clint found out on the Thursday (last week) that he had to leave for Egypt on Sunday for up to 2 weeks - AHHH! So we did a lot of fun scrambling the end part of last week to make sure I was all set with Miss M. Fortunately her and I have a pretty good routine and enjoy time together so we are making it work. Plus, we found out yesterday that Clint will actually return next Tues so he was only gone about 10 days, not so bad!!
So what have we been up to. . .well Maci enjoyed her first NYE even if she only made it until about 7p ;-) but that allowed Clint and I to have fun as adults watching a few movies, the ball drop and talking with our dear friends the Green's on FaceTime after the ball dropped, a 3 year tradition at this point!
On Thursday of last week, after getting over the shock of the Egypt trip, we started Maci's 2nd round of Swim Lessons. Her friend Natalie still does them with her which gives us a fun thing to look forward to each Thursday. With new lessons, it meant time for a new swim suit too! I think she likes it, either that or she loves the pool!!!
We had a wonderful weekend as our family of three before daddy had to leave at the end of the UGLY Bengals game :( It was a sad time for so many reasons! Maci however had something to look forward to, she got to start officially transitioning to the new room at daycare on Monday. They sent me the two pics below of our lil lady. She seems to be transitioning from crib naps to cot naps just fine. I will remember though to bring her in her own blanket - looks like a poor inmate here with the community blanket =)
Our week was running just fine without daddy until Tuesday when Miss M started to have a yucky cough and just overall irritability rose. Mommy was hoping it wasn't going to be bad but at 2p I got the "Maci has a fever, can you come get her call" UGH so we went to the Dr and nothing too serious but she can't go back to daycare until Thurs after she has been 24 hour fever free. So that means Mommy is trying to get work done at home with a cranky lil almost 1 year old who coughs like an old man! =( The lil lady really doesn't feel good and she is so tired, I actually caught her sitting up sleeping in her crib this morning =( Say some prayers she feels better soon!
So that has been our last few days, week! I am ready for some rest and a healthy kid again. We also really miss our daddy/hubby! Life just runs smoother when the 3 of us are together. Until then Miss M and I will survive. We also are saying some big prayers for Grandma Janet today as she has her knee replaced! I know she is anxious and scared but she will do just great!! We LOVE you!
