Busy, Cold & FUN Weekend!

Kathy and Jack got back to Ohio ok on Tuesday.  Connor and I got back home from the airport for a much needed nap.  Clint was back to work and Maci was able to take Goofy to show and tell since it was bring something that starts with a "G" day.  While we missed our visitors, it was good to get the kids back into our current family routine.  The rest of the week was fairly chill for Mr C and me.  I want to get things done around the house and they are happening slowly but surely.  However, I also know how quick these kiddos grow and I don't want to wake up and realize maternity leave is over and I missed out on cuddle time :)  Clint headed to complete our taxes with our tax guy Wednesday night - thankfully Connor was a 2015 baby or we would be paying quite a bit more to our friend Uncle Sam.  While an interest free loan to the government isn't the smart thing to do, I sure miss the days of large refunds at tax time vs cutting a few checks HA

Art Time Fun & Chilling While Mom Gets Ready

Friday - It was bitterly cold out today and we also kicked off our crazy busy but totally fun weekend!  I had my biometric screening at work so it made for a great day to bring in Connor to meet Clint and his team at the Office Center.  We will see my work pals at the EC buildings the week of Feb 22nd.  We stuck around for lunch and then headed home in time for his post lunch feeding.  We then cuddled the rest of the day while Clint headed to Maci's daycare at 315p for Valentine's snack with your sweetheart.  That allowed for those 2 to get home a bit earlier and I ran to the West End to pick up a birthday present for a 1 year old (Sunday birthday party).  When I got home the pizza arrived and we watched Charlie Brown Valentine's show as a family.  Maci felt bad for Charlie Brown and I realized for the first time that he is quite pathetic at best :)

Saturday - We kicked off the day with the usual gym class fun.  Afterward we headed to our favorite Pub 819 for brunch with the crew.  We had to hurry out so I could pump/feed Connor before some amazing ladies only fun!  Jacey, Halston and I dropped all kids and hubbies at our house for play time and we were off to The Marsh for 60 minute facials.  Ahhh I could have stayed there all day and napped :)  Alas we had to come home around 3p for more pumping and cleaning up after some hellions (the kids were even worse) HA  I was happy to tidy up though because at 6p we had Miss Kaitlin coming over to watch the kiddos.  It was our first date night out post Connor!!!  It was great to have Miss Kaitlin watching the kids because we know she is well prepared for emergencies etc since she used to work at Maci's daycare.  Clint and I were then off for dinner at a new Latin American restaurant in Minnetonka (YUMMY!) followed by bowling and a few too many cocktails.  We headed home a little after 10p just in time to pay the sitter and then crash!  What a fun night out enjoying our food, not telling anyone to sit down, no crying and conversation.  However, I sure missed my kiddos by the time we got home :)

Woah - Some People Were Out Late in Cincinnati :)

Sunday - Today we were in a huge rush to get to mass.  We were pulling up and I was feeling down that we were going to be 15 mins late and thinking how we will ever get out of the house on time with the 4 of us and then I see the parking lot looks fairly sparse - SURPRISE I totally forgot mass started at 1030 and not 10.  So we weren't late we were actually 15 mins early HAHA  After mass we headed to get some bagels and then headed home for quiet time, feeding etc before we were off again at 2p for Declan's 1st birthday.  Declan is the son of Clint's co-worker Claire.  It was a sweet valentine's day themed party and it was cute to see how timid Maci behaved around their daughter Ainsley who is a very wise and mature 4 years old :)  Around 5p we made it back home and now we have all crashed!  We are about to have some crockpot dinner, enjoy a little tv and finish up the final feedings of the night.

We have our hands full! HAHA

Thankfully Clint is off work tomorrow since Cargill recognizes presidents day as a work holiday.  Maci will head to school, we will sleep in a bit (YAY Connor!), run errands and enjoy a lunch out!  We also have the cleaning lady coming tomorrow to do all the blinds and baseboards for a special winter deep clean - wahoo!!  #oldpeopleenjoyment :)

We hope you all have a wonderful week and we are so excited for 40 degree temps!!
Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C
