Nanny & Grandpa Mondell Visit!!

We started the week off with Clint heading to Wichita for a quick back and forth in the same day (Tuesday).  That same day Miss M woke up not feeling herself and had a very small amount of throw up so she stayed home with me.  This ended up being a good thing since we got a crazy amount of snow starting at noon and it didn't end until late into the night.  Of course this made for a very long day for me and the kids since daddy didn't get home until 10p (should have been dinner time) - at least he made it home!!

We sent grandma Gilroy the following pictures of Connor wearing the LOVE Cincinnati shirt on Wednesday - I swear the last picture is his face after I explained how far away she lives! HA

That same night I got to go to Bonefish Grill at the West End for a team dinner.  It was so nice to get dressed up (AKA not sweats), drink some wine and have adult conversation.  I think it was a little too obvious to everyone how happy I was to be out because they kept chuckling at how upbeat I was :)

Maci had a good rest of the week at school and I enjoyed some more lazy days with Connor man.

Thursday night we headed to Chili's for dinner and right before Clint/Maci pulled up to get Connor/me, he smiled HUGE for the first time I could capture - Ahhh melt my heart!!!

Friday - Yay fun weekend time!  Clint took the day off and we sent Maci to daycare while we finished cleaning and prepping for Clint's parents' arrival.  We picked them up from the airport around 2p and then headed to get M from daycare.  She was so excited to wake up from nap time at school to mommy and Nanny.  From there we headed to Costco, a Mondell family favorite.  The ladies and the kiddos then settled into the house while Clint and his dad headed to Blacksheep Pizza to bring home some pizza's for dinner.  We introduced Nanny and Grandpa to our Friday night tradition of Pizza and a movie.  They also got to experience a Maci favorite, Frozen!

Saturday - BUSY DAY!  We started the day off with gym class and Maci begged her grandparents to come into class with her which they obliged.  After gym we did a quick trip home and then to Natalie's 3rd Birthday party - tinker bell fun!!  The Cassem's were so kind for us to bring our family visitors along for the fun.  I couldn't picture Maci missing her best pals birthday party.  We did however have to miss Mr Brody's birthday party later in the day (Bummer dude)!  However, we had more fun family things to do.  After a little quiet time at the house to recoup, we then headed to Ridgedale mall for Kathy to use her Macy's gift card from Christmas.  While there the grandparents spoiled Miss M at the Disney store with princess and Mickey/Minnie figurines and I got a few things for the kiddos at Gap.  We wrapped up our Saturday night out with dinner at Bar Louie.  Maci couldn't wait any longer for the bill/payment so her and I walked a bit to Sephora where the one worker was in love with M and put some lipstick on her . . . DIVA!

 Ready to Head Home

Sunday - We rolled out to brunch around noon to one of our favs, Pub 819.  Jack & Kathy also enjoyed the morning cocktails which we adore and the wonderful portions.  The group then got ready to head to Cabella's to do some shopping for Miss M's birthday present.  She scored some new light up Croc shoes for summer time and Connor even got a pair of little baby boots too :)  We then got home to lay around a bit in preparation for the super bowl and our white chicken chili - YUM!  Maci LOVED the super bowl halftime and kept asking for a second one because she wanted to keep dancing all over!

Monday - Clint took today off too and Maci skipped daycare.  The group got to lay around and sleep in while I headed to my postpartum doctor check up.  It was a good doctor appointment and I had a nice chat with my Doctor about the worry we moms have with each newborn; so glad to hear even a Doctor felt that way at times with her kids.  When I got home around noon we all had some yummy Jimmy Johns and prepared to head to the Children's Museum.  I am so mad at myself because we got all the way to the museum and as we were attempting to find parking i went to the website on my phone.  Ummm the museum is closed on Mondays?!  WHAT?!!  UGH!!!  So while Maci thankfully was napping in the car, we made an executive decision to head to Mall of America instead for rides.  Maci was very excited to ride rides when she awoke in the car and fortunately she doesn't really know what a Children's Museum has.  So the Museum is back on the winter to do list and Maci got to use up some more of her points from her birthday fun.  She had a blast riding with her nanny & grandpa all afternoon and they got some good videos of their time with Maci.  We have been having a fairly lazy night around the house with me attempting to get some things done and everyone enjoying some vegging in front of the TV.

Tomorrow marks the end of our fun long weekend :(  Clint heads back to work, Maci back to school and I take Kathy/Jack to the airport in the early afternoon.  We were so happy to see Maci have such a fun interactive time with her grandparents and for them to meet our little man.

Connor and I will now spend the rest of the week being lazy and getting some things done around the house.  I may be taking him into Cargill's EC location on Friday since I have my annual biometric screening for insurance.  While the fun weekend ended, we are looking forward to another fun weekend ahead and a long one with daddy again since Cargill has President's Day (Monday) off.

Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C
