GORGEOUS SATURDAY IN FEBRUARY!

We started the week off with Connor's 2 month check up.  He is a healthy, strong and solid 11 lbs 12 oz and 23 inches in length.  That puts him right over the 50th percentile for kiddos his age.  We believe he has some mild acid reflux so we are putting a few thin books under his mattress to help him sleep at a slight incline at night.  Thankfully after a week of doing so it seems to be helping :)
Clint had a quick trip to Wichita and back again on Tuesday which meant I got to be pick up and drop off parent.  Thankfully no bad weather this time so he was home just a little after dinner time.  Connor and I headed to yet another Dr apt for me on Wed (attempting to get all my regular appointments in before maternity leave ends).  It was weird to be getting out of the house so much in a week :)  On Thursday, Connor and I headed into the other Cargill office where the majority of my co-workers are located.  It was so nice to see so many people I haven't spoken to in a while and to show them my buddy!  We were there about an hour before lunch and then hung out until almost 3p - we promised a lot of visits :)

Friday - The weather was sunny and fairly warm!  Connor and I got some good morning snoozin in before heading to our neighbor's house around 2p.  They had little Cam on February 1st and they already have Nora who is 6 months younger than Maci.  We dropped off a gift and got to see the little cutie during a nice quiet down time for both of us.  Both of our girls still go to their daycare and the hubbies are at work.  Maci and Clint got home at a good time and we headed right out on a family walk - can't wait for spring!  After dinner we headed out to Culvers for dinner and ice cream.

Saturday - AHHHH Almost 60 Degrees!  We loved this day!  We started off by heading to gym class followed by our beloved brunch.

After brunch we hurried to pack up the diaper bag, stroller etc and headed to Lake Calhoun for a nice long walk and playground time for Miss M.  What a wonderful day!

After we got home, Maci zonked in the car for a bit while Clint and I completed some to dos around the house.  We also bathed both kiddos before Clint headed out for a guys night with several neighborhood guy friends.  I got to watch some Friends on Netflix and hang with the kiddos while Clint went to an indoor golf simulation and then back to John's house for some quarter gambling, darts and well drinking.  Clint intended to get home around midnight but when Connor stirred for a moment around 2a, I realized no Clint.  He arrived home a few moments later. . . it is going to be a rough morning for him!  I proceeded to get up with Connor for his feeding at 530a.  Miss M decided to be a total jerk and then came out of her room at 630a.  I sent Clint downstairs with her.  I am fairly sure he slept most of the time with her since she wandered into my room asking for Mickey on TV at one point.  I can't complain too much because Connor and I got to sleep and then the whole family moved a little slow to get ready for the day.  Unfortunately today was rainy and much colder than our lovely Saturday.  We finally got around to bagels and grocery trip.  By the time we got home it was time to take Clint to the airport.  He has another short trip with this one being Missouri and we pick him back up tomorrow night.  Thankfully Maci took a great nap today for me and I have been able to get some to dos off the list.  I am currently wrapping up the night with the Oscars, sans Clint complaining about how boring it is :)

This coming week marks my 2nd to last week of maternity leave.  I have mixed emotions about this coming to an end.  I really miss having work to stimulate my mind, regular adult conversation, routine etc but I also know I will miss all the cuddles with Connor and the slow pace of leave (at times).  In addition, my grandpa gets to come back home tomorrow from hip surgery so I took these cutie pics of the kiddos to make sure he knows how happy we all are that he is coming home!

We hope you have a great week ahead!
Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C
