Clint's Birthday Weekend!!

We had a pretty normal four day work week before enjoying our 3 day weekend and Clint's Birthday!

Friday - Clint's official 39th birthday!  Thankfully we looked ahead a few months ago to plan out summer vacation and realized we always have some left over days and should plan ahead.  Seeing his birthday would be on a Friday, we decided to take the day and make it a long weekend.  I got up to get the kids ready while birthday boy slept in a bit.  Being parents of wee ones, he slept in until 730a and then ended up riding with us to school and with me to the Honda dealership - quick wiper blade change.  We then got ourselves ready for the day and were off to do a little shopping - Clint has been wanting to find a particular Tumi bag at Nordstrom Rack but after 2 stops we came up short.  We still had a great time doing a little shopping.  We then headed to Rojo for lunch, including Margaritas!  Next stop - the movies for Clint's choice, Kong Skull island which I shockingly didn't mind but was going along for the ride either way since it was Clint's day.  We wrapped up the afternoon with a quick nap and then time to get the kids.  Clint chose a low key dinner on the actual bday which included Subway sandwiches and a picnic at the park with the kiddos.  We then did bed time and crashed watching TV.

Saturday - No dance due to spring break weekend.  Instead we had a low key morning at the house and let daddy sleep in.  These kiddos sure are the best of friends - hope this lasts forever!

Before thinking of birthday weekend, I had scheduled a get together with some girlfriends.  My friend Halston is now selling Rodan & Fields skin care products and she wanted to have a little launch party with her closest friends.  Gena picked me up around 1015a and while I went off to have breakfast, mimosas and skin care - Clint and the kids were off to the park with Ryan, Natalie and Stella.  While I had a great time, don't feel too bad for Clint.  After the park, the guys took the kids to Lone Spur Grill where they enjoyed brews and then the kids played at our house until it was time for the moms to get home ~2p. :)  It was such an amazing day - 64 degrees - that we spent the rest of the afternoon outside playing!

Around 5p we decided to head for Coon Rapids for Clint's more official birthday dinner at Texas Roadhouse.  It was a crazy long wait so we walked over to the Lowe's to kill some time.  Again - these two!!! 💙💜💛💗
Totally did this on her own because it makes him feel safe
Dinner was as yummy as we were hoping and the kids both did pretty great - Connor was in an awesome mood and had our table and the tables around us laughing all night long!

We headed home around 8p and the kiddos were crashing in the car from utter exhaustion :)

Sunday - Day of productivity.  I ran the grocery and Easter basket trip in the morning and then Clint got gas, haircut etc.  We started to do some of our spring cleaning by going through some closets and I am attempting to start selling clothes through Poshmark - we will see how that goes.  Around 3p we headed out to the Nature Center for an Animal Meet and Greet with some woodland critters.  Maci thought it was interesting and Connor was ready to roll at the start of the hour.  Afterward, we grabbed some dinner and dropped 4 bags at the Goodwill.  Ahh I love purging stuff!!

We are wrapping up our nice long weekend with some random TV, Connor in bed and Maci chilling with the iPad.  I have a long day tomorrow with a meeting starting in the office at 615a!  Clint has a training later this week so lots of momma and kiddo time this week.  I am sure it will be the weekend again before we know it and we can't wait :)

We hope you all have a great week ahead!
Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C
