The week started off fairly normal and Clint headed out for a training in Philly on Tuesday morning.  I was having a pretty successful run at single parenting and was super excited when the kids Spring Pictures arrive in my inbox mid week.  Man are these some cute kids!  Very excited to be updating the picture frames around the house this weekend as well :)

Then Thursday hit and the week started to slide away from us :(  I picked up Connor from school and he was sound asleep on the floor - uh oh!  They had sent 3 kids home with vomiting earlier in the day - uh oh again.  That night he got sick on me after some yogurt but it seemed to be only yogurt and he went down for bed like normal.  Thank goodness dad gets home Friday night, right?!

Friday - We made it!  End of the week, dad is almost home and Connor didn't get sick again!  I dropped the kiddos off and went about my day.  Around 2p I heard from Clint that his flight was delayed UH OH. . . around 4p I heard his flight was Cancelled - CRAP!  Then I check the daycare app and it says Connor has been off all day with a low grade temp and pulling on an ear - Double CRAP!  I headed out of work around 5p dreading the night ahead and hoping Clint would get home to enjoy some weekend together.  I put Connor to bed right away and Clint found out he would get on a 330p flight Sat to Milwaukee and then would DRIVE, yes drive, the 5.5 hours with a rental car to MSP - UGH airlines!

Saturday - WORST MORNING EVER!  Maci was very needy and missing her daddy, Connor was off way off. . . decided to skip dance so we were stuck in the house but Connor was too off to be around others.  After helping Maci with item number 2387192378 I go in the living room and find Connor putting himself to bed on the floor - UGH!

No sooner do I take him up for a nap, he pukes all over his bed and himself :( UGH!  Maci is behind me asking to have the iPad turned on and to get rid of that smell - UGH AGAIN!  I called Clint in the midst of a mental break down and decided I needed to phone a friend.  Bless the Cassem's!  They had heard Clint was stuck in Philly and were happy to take Maci after a birthday party.  They picked up Miss M around 230p and kept her until 930p - AHMAZING!  She rode bikes, enjoyed a cookout with Jacey's family at their house, did a bonfire and dyed Easter eggs with her buddy Natalie.  They are the best and Maci had so much fun getting out of the house with her BFF!

After Maci got home, I put her to bed, Connor was already down for the night (went to bed at 530p!) and I crawled into bed to watch news and SNL - was out before the news ended!  I heard Clint walk in the door around 11p and I slept more soundly knowing we were all home safe and sound!

Sunday - Connor seems to be feeling a whole lot better today, wahoo!!!  Seems sleep helped work that nasty out.  Clint and I have been hitting all sorts of errands since I didn't get too much done yesterday with a sick one and only one adult in the house.  It feels good to be having a productive day and to seem we are all heading back to normal rolling into the next week.  Clint has the Masters on in the background and while I am not a golf fan - I sure do love this as an annual sign of Spring/Summer heading this way!

New Easter Ears for Next Weekend's Easter Egg Hunt

We are excited for a short Easter week ahead.  Clint and I will have Friday off and have all sorts of fun family Easter outings planned for the coming weekend!  We wish you all a Blessed Easter and week ahead.
