Classic Brother and Sister Moment Last Sunday Afternoon
This sickness continued in our house the early part of the week with me begging Clint to let me head to bed right after work both Monday and Tuesday night. After all Tuesday night being up on and off with an upset stomach, I decided to call in sick. It was exactly what I needed because while I didn't feel awesome by the evening, I was at least turning the bend. I then had to make it one day at work since Clint and I were taking Good Friday off work! I would repeat to myself "Just keep swimming" throughout the day - that Dory knows what she is talking about :)

Thanks God Mommy Christie for the First Easter Card!
Friday - I think all the rest from my sickness was catching up to me. I woke up around 630a and couldn't fall back asleep, sadly that is sleeping in for me since we wake at 530a on weekdays :) While my whole crew was asleep, I got a few more work activities checked off the list and fed the dog. Once all were up, we sent the kids to school, headed to the hospital for Clint's regular blood checks and then to the Egg and I for an uninterrupted breakfast out! After breakfast we got our weekend grocery trip complete, came home for Clint to shower and me to nap and then headed back out for a late lunch/cocktails plus a little shopping at Ridgedale mall. Around 5p our day came to an end and we were excited to see our kiddos with a fun weekend ahead! First up was coloring Easter eggs after dinner - Maci LOVED it and Connor headed to bed :)
Proof he was there in the beginning ;-)

After coloring eggs, kids headed to bed while Clint and I caught up on our TV shows.Saturday - No dance but the next best thing - St Louis Park Easter Egg Hunt! We met up with our other friends in the parking lot and then headed inside since it was a stormy Saturday morning. The 4 year olds are hitting an age where they LOVE doing this. Connor just wanted to get something, anything and not have people take it away :)

After the Egg Hunt, we all (yes 16 people) headed to Pub 819 for Brunch with friends. It was actually quite a bit smoother than one would expect but always a challenge when 8 of the 16 are under the age of 5 :) By the time we headed home, all of us were pretty exhausted. Connor gave us a glimpse as to what his naps my look like come the college years. . . he was passed out!
After I fully cleaned Maci's Closet/Dresser and listed the clothing for sale as well as packed 2 donation bags (YES!), we headed to Rojo for some patio dinner in between storms. Connor then headed to bed, Maci played on iPad and I got my work to do list done while also watching a movie with Clint (multitasking at its finest). I wrapped up around the time the movie ended and Maci went to bed. Lots of dreams of Easter Bunny and hidden eggs for the kiddos all around!Sunday - UGH Tummy Bug GO AWAY! Maci came into our room around 330p to sleep. Then around 4a she was tossing and turning which just isn't her. When we asked what was wrong she said she had to go bathroom. No sooner does Clint get her to the bathroom she got sick everywhere UGH! Poor Clint cleaned the bathroom with that horrid sour smell again and I bathed Maci in the downstairs bathroom. . . poor kid. We laid back down and she had a little bit left so then we stripped the bed :( After a few loads of laundry were put in and Maci was finally back asleep - Clint and I could do the same. I slept with my sweet girl and Clint took to the couch for hopefully a few more hours. Fortunately the rest of the early morning went smoothly and Maci was very excited to get up around 8a to find eggs and baskets. She rocked her egg hunt which makes us think the bunny needs to up the challenge next year!
What a Nice Bunny!
We took the morning slow with a close eye on M but she kept saying she felt ok, ate some dry Cheerios so we were off to mass as planned at 1030a. Maci did pretty well but Connor was a busy body. Poor Clint spent the entire hour or so walking around the back of church with Mr go go. We then headed to our nice Easter Brunch where Maci ate hardly anything but seemed fine so that could be typical toddler appetite.

To keep the kids entertained, we got out the good old snap chat and the funny filters. Maci just LOVES doing this and while I was on the app I found some classics from NYE forward that I hadn't loaded onto the blog previously.
Easter Fun!
Oldies
We got back home around 130p and have been lazy bums! Connor went right down for a nap and Clint had a similar plan. I am more excited to keep cleaning my closet - AHH Spring Cleaning! In the background I have on the NHL playoffs. We are not huge hockey fans but figured the MN Wild could use us cheering them on since they are 2-0 down in the playoffs right now to St Louis. Go Wild! In addition, I am running a few loads of sheets to get all the lingering sick buggies out of this house once and for all!! It is a gorgeous spring day so we intend to take a walk or hit the park before dinner as well. What a wonderful weekend, minus poor M last night!
We hope you all had a blessed and joyous Easter! We wish you all a wonderful week ahead!
Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C
